Easter weekend in Culebra is busy. As such, the resort was full. It was still relaxing. During the day everyone is at the beach. At night, people get loud partying. There was even a beach party organized by locals. But it all died down at around 9 or 10p when quiet hours kick in. A boutique recently opened at the resort. It's called Mi Pequeña Patria Boutique. Vacation beach rentals steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We stayed in a little homey beach house with a full kitchen. The concierge was very helpful whenever we requested something. They have a small store onsite that sells the basics. It's not a 5 star hotel but it has all you need if you are looking for beach relaxation. Cons - The time I went there was some bee hives or wasps on the property. The best place to stay in Culebra. I have stayed here before and have always had wonderful experiences. It is very calm and relaxing. We recently spent a week here with my in laws. We stayed in Apt. 4-A. Beautiful. There is nothing like a beach view while sipping your coffee in the morning, and at night, hearing the sounds of the waves. The apartment was clean and in order when we checked in. Service was excellent. My son wet the bed on the firts night because we forgot to pack his diapers (we bought a pack the next day at Colmado Milka). I let the staff know and they quickly provided me with new sheets. They also responded quickly when we asked for more toilet paper. There is a grilling station by the building. We cooked some steaks and ribs. The only issue was the weak wi-fi. Luckily, my husband and his family have been here over the years and knew about this so they came prepared with an HDMI cable and hooked it up to a laptop that had some movies downloaded. It was a lifesaver. Our kid had some entertainment at night. read more

We stayed in Unit 4a the largest and most expensive unit. While the location on the beach was fabulous, the way this 3 bedroom unit was equipped was terrible. There were no basic amenities : no shampoo, hand soap, paper towel, minimal TP. No Salt or Pepper or cooking oil, which the host said would be provided. The kitchen was in disarray: the pots were old scratched teflon and absolutely gross and toxic to cook with. There were no knives that were sharp enough to actually use to prepare a meal. The tiny Mr coffee maker only made 1 , 8 oz cup at a time. This was for a house that sleeps 6- 8. The WiFi for the unit was fading out every day several times, and needed to me rebooted , each outage with a long password . We could not even send basic emails with more than 1 person online at a time. Pillows were all terrible.....air conditioning for the Villa was old and smelled moldy, which my allergy to mold confirmed with swollen eyes and sinus issues regardless of which room I tried. Flamenco beach is lovely. But stay away from this place. The villas are owned by 14-16 individual owners who are not present in the area and do not care about their units,bworse yet the property manager and host for these villas doesn't care either. We felt like we were camping for $500+ per night read more

Look is a beautiful beach but the hassles at 2a between no wifi, no tv, short staffed so they won't pick up your phone, one of the staff was sick with fever and working because the other front desk was "sick", the water in the bathroom was clogged. Not a great experience for 9 nights stay. I get we're on vacations but for people who still work remote there's better internet at the beach that the villas. They are comfortable and nice but prefer to stay somewhere closer to town. My opinion. You'll be 10 mins from everything, literally. You're out of alcohol? 10 min run. Out of food? 10 min run. And it's expensive here too. I'm a puertorican living in Las Vegas, if you been in the strip is as close to it without night clubs. Think about it and research. More than half of the town is a place to stay. Check airbnb and vrbo, or look villas for rent around. Everything is close to water. read more

I could nitpick Culebra Beach Villas and unit 15 in particular. I could complain about how one of the cabinet doors is off its hinges, or how it's not possible to turn on the ceiling fan light or one of the bathroom lights, or how it's missing amenities like a cutting board or a decent knife or plastic wrap, or how the tv only gets three channels spottily (and two are in Spanish), or about the how the Wi-Fi speed is equivalent to strapping a few 56k modems together, or about the middling mattress. But I'm not going to. I'm not going to complain about this place because all of that is outweighed by the location. You are literally on Flamenco Beach, which is consistently ranked as the most beautiful beach in the world, on the far end where there are very few people. I'm writing this on the patio and can hear the waves crashing right now. When I'm here, I'm just happy to have a bed, air conditioning, hot water in the shower, a fridge, and a stovetop to cook on. Especially at the price, I'm not complaining about anything, We rarely go to the same vacation spot twice, but this is the second time we've come to Culebra in two years, and we stayed in this unit both times. Great location! Wonderful view to the beach. Apartment was clean with the basics and comfy. However, the bed in our apartment was super hard. We woke up with a stiff sore back every day. They have wall unit AC units that work well, but they are extremely loud, making it almost impossible to sleep. We stayed at unit 3A. The couple traveling with us stayed next door in 3 D, and it had similar layout, but much better quality mattresses and quiet AC units. Each unit in the complex is individually owned, and Culebra Beach rentals manages the rentals. As a result, the condition, furnishings and amenities of each unit will vary depending on how much the owner is willing to spend in furnishing and maintaining the unit. We overall liked the property , but you may want to carefully select your rental unit, ask specific questions about condition and amenities of the units. We would return, but not to 3A. If 3D is available, will take it! read more

Culebra villas are located in the culebra Island to get there you can go by ferry or a small plane. The plane cost around $90 dollars one way and the ferry is only $2dls. This villas are very secluded so you will need to rent a Jeep, golf car, or a shuttle to get supplies for the amount of time of your stay. You hace several options to rent, all the villas have a kitchens, fridges and also a grill. The view is amazing as relaxing. Definitely One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. read more

While we really like Puerto Rico, we love love Culebra. The most gorgeous beach in the world. We prefer the villas and not the high rise there. The villa seem more laid back with hammocks. Make sure to wear bug repellant, even if you don't seer any bugs. We did come home with tons of tiny bites. But don't let that scare you off. Amazing place. Oh by the way, the van/taxis are $3 if you go from the ferry to the flamenco beach. But the ferry with a detiur to this hotel is $5 each. Maybe discount after 5 people. read more

Iid usually rate this place higher having stayed multiple times, however there are a few things that made my most recent stay less perfect than before. Apparently main parking lot for the beach has been intermittently closed and when it is closed people fill the road to the resort, and even the resort parking lot to access the beach THROUGH the resort. My most recent visit people were lined up in in the resort attempting to use an employees only restroom near the office. There was seemingly no effort by staff to remove non-resort guests from the resort area. To me the charm of staying on Flamenco beach at the resort is somewhat downgraded by having to maneuver around the same traffic and ferry crowds I'd face by just visiting the public beach access area. If you enjoy the relative peace of a guests only space you might reconsider this resort as it literally becomes the public parking lot when the municipal beach parking lot closes. read more

This place is amazing. It's just east of the public Flamenco Beach in a little cove. We were only there for one night but wished we had stayed for longer. The cove isn't that great for snorkeling (a lot of dead coral on the northeastern side), but it's simply a gorgeous and relaxing site. The hotel is a bit "remote". The island is super tiny so nothing is far, but this is on the northern end far from the "downtown" where the supermarket, gas station, few restaurants and bars are, etc. I would highly recommend going to the supermarket and grilling at the hotel. Tip: Rent a golf cart to get around--it's both fun and practical. It was only $50/day and we would have spent a lot more than that on cabs getting into the "city" and going to different beaches to snorkel, get food, etc. read more

This place has the best location on the entire island if you want to be on a beach. Flamenco is one of the best beaches we have ever seen and a great environment for kiddos. The room was a little dated and had some areas that needed improvement. We were in the main building towards the front near the beach so we didn't hang out long in the room anyway. But nice hammoc on the porch to relax. Our kids renamed all the kittens and that entertained for hours too. Overall a good experience for the room and great experience for location and beach access. read more
