My partner and I have visited Culebra many times over the past years, we have stayed at many places…read moreon the island. However, once we stayed at Casita Tropical with Molly we have not stayed anywhere else. She has a number of efficiency apartments with shared cooking facilities and patios with private bathrooms. This is a great option on Culebra as it allows you to enjoy the cool breeze and gives you the option of doing your own cooking. There is a pool available and abundant coolers, floats, chairs etc available for the use of guests. Equally abundant is Molly's knowledge of the local beaches, restaurants and tours. She is always happy to share that knowledge upon request, or even invite you on her early morning snorkeling and turtle watching trips to Tamarindo beach. Her pricing is completely reasonable and the location is within walking distance of the airport. Most likely you will rent a golf cart, in that case she has abundant parking for guests. Highly recommended!

What I liked about the service was letting them know west time the Puerto Rico ferry would be dropping us off on Culebra. They picked us up from the ferry and drove us 5 minutes to their business location. There must have been 7 of us waiting in line to rent a vehicle. The problem was there was only one girl doing all the paperwork. This took some time and you could see every one was antsy to move in with their day. She was by no means in a hurry to get us checked in and out the door. I will say there would have been no way we could have made it to our cottage located on one of the largest hills on the island that over looked Flemingo beach. We took the off road route to get to the beach instead of being with the crowd or having to pay the entrance fees per person and per vehicle. There was no way a golf cart or even a car would have survived that fort road and I'm still wondering if it was even a road. But the jeep did us well. We had no problems with it. Or was comfortable and my girlfriend was able to connect her iPhone and listen to her music and / or podcasts. The only issue was we needed to make sure to fill the gas tank back up before returning the vehicle. We finally found a gas station near the ferry dock but there was a large line to wait. They must only have one gas pump. Plus road construction didn't help us. We had a jeep to return and a ferry to catch, so we decided to pay the rental fee for gas. I found out that the price for gas was $17.00 a gallon. Luckily I only needed one gallon. I will use Carlos Jeep Rental when I return to Culebra island.

Two full queen beds in the bedroom, large shower, nice sitting room with futon, not the most comfortable for sitting though. Close to town and beaches with a rental car. Clean and newer. When they answered, they told us we could not have a jeep today. We had to wait until tomorrow! We needed the vehicle: we had plans for the evening. they said we could not have a vehicle. They said it was because we were taking the 3:30 pm ferry which arrived past their business's hours! No mention until this point. Essentially, they gave us no guidance as to which ferry to take or not take, and did not answer phone calls at their business yet for three weeks knew we were coming in today and needed a vehicle.

There was some wait for the food and she never came back to ask if we wanted another drink. When the food came out both fish filets were overcooked, seasoned well but chewy. The sides were okay. The environment is what makes this place. It was fun to watch the fish and feed them.
