Also, the price was very reasonable for what you are getting. The room was comfortable and we loved that we had a kitchen to cook in. We went to the local grocery store to get food and prepared it in the kitchen. We also loved that there was no TV in our room because we never watch TV on vacation since it reminds us of being back home and it wastes the trip away. lol :) We loved that they also provide beach towels, aside from the bath towels. My daughters enjoyed swinging in the hammock in the front of the property. Juan greeted us personally and showed us around when we first arrived, and we felt very safe staying here. The property feels very private and quiet. It is away from the public beach entrance side of Flamenco Beach which is nice because the beach in front of this property doesn't get so crowded. While staying at Culebra we took a water taxi to Culebrita Island for a half-day trip, and that was breathtaking and a must-do. Staying at Villa Flamenco Beach was a wonderful peaceful retreat away from city-life and we loved every minute!! The location can't be beat! We HIGHLY recommend Villa Flamenco Beach to anyone. It is a gem!

They also offer exciting scuba adventures and boat tours, as well as recommendations for the best local restaurants and beaches. The guesthouse is a short distance from town and from multiple beaches. We walked or took taxis, but you can easily rent a Jeep or golf cart for faster transportation. The guesthouse itself features more of a local feel, which we found very enjoyable after staying in a touristy hotel in Vieques. Check out Rosa's next time you're looking for a island getaway!

Marcos and Richard are awesome and know a lot about the island. Every spot that they recommended were on the money!! We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with lots of space and a private balcony which is a plus, plus, plus (did I mention it's screened in so that bugs stay out of your way??). We had coffee in the mornings and of course, listening to the roosters. You can hear the planes taking off in the morning, but once you are back from the beach late afternoon, is like they were not even there. Marcos is a terrific cook and we ordered breakfast one morning and dinner for our last night. We didn't snorkel with them, but Richard gave us some awesome tips of where to go and what we would see. I totally recommend Rosa's to anyone going to Culebra; well, as long as you're not looking for high end places. Thumbs up guys and keep up the awesome work you're doing.

The property is right on the water with outdoor tables. The balcony from the room overlooks the bay. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. It's also right next to the Dinghy Dock, a popular restaurant and bar. A lot of the locals hang out at this bar... it has a TV too. We paid $100 for the room in the off season (November). We were told that it goes for $140 during the high season. I will stay here next time i'm on Culebra.

I love the open seating area with hammocks, lounge chairs, and other seating arrangements. The staff is very friendly though not always the most helpful (for example, the light above our bed didn't work and the receptionist promised to send someone the next day who never came). But besides those small things and the fact that it's not a luxury hotel, it's a great place to stay on Culebra. Note that the openness of the floor plan does make for a fairly social atmosphere-- if you are staying here with a group of guests who are loud or like to stay up late drinking and talking, you will definitely hear them (but everyone is super friendly so you might as well join them!) Even if you aren't stay here (or if you are), I highly recommend doing a boat charter with Captain Rico. We took the boat out to Culebra with 10 or so other people and had a beautiful day. It was super relaxing-- they had all the equipment if you wanted to paddle board or snorkel, or you could just read a book on the boat. Everything was included-- lunch, beer, booze, equipment! I get very seasick on boats and Rico went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable offering to "let me drive" the boat to take my mind off of the waves. The friendly staff and gorgeous views really make Villa Boheme stand out among other guesthouses in Culebra.

It had an excellent air conditioning system, which I appreciated in the September heat. The kitchenette included a full size fridge, a sink, and a coffee maker with a few dishes. My only critique of the kitchen was that there was no coffee provided, but that was a very small inconvenience considering there is a grocery store close by. I can't remember if there was a microwave. The bathroom was small, but very clean. It had a sink, toilet, and a nice shower. Small soaps and shampoos were provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and faced a TV with a long list of channels. Overall the room was a little small, but very comfortable and clean. No real complaints there, although the WiFi was a joke. I could only get a signal when I sat on the balcony. But the view of the water made up for any issues. It was gorgeous and I highly recommend sitting on the balcony to enjoy the sunset. It was a very nice stay, and I will return if I come back to Culebra in the future!

I had to check out at 9 am because of his attitude. I also woke up with whelps/rash and they were BED BUGS bites.. no coffee,. No help taking the luggage many steps up without lighting on the upper stairwell, no pick up at the airport, tiny room (8 by 10!). He always talks yelling at you.. We asked for an extra mattress and the one he brought it was old, falling apart, even with blood spots.. I had to sleep with my friend in the bed. There are many wild roosters and they started crowing at 3 am and forward. One of them was at my window which I had to shoo him away at 4 am. The location is very UNDESIREABLE, far from everything and overlooking some favelas/dump. The owner is an Angry man with many issues and he should NOT be running a business. And if you need any time or help don't count on him.. I spoke with other hotel managers in the island and they all told me that they heard many complaints about this hotel owner before and everyone said the same thing: he is arrogant and It is past his time to retire.

In December 2018, this company rented us Casa Victoria Upper in Culebra for a week's stay in…read moreJanuary 2019, after we spent a week in San Juan. They also got us a 10% discount at Jerry's Jeep Rentals. The Casa itself was very nice. It has very nicely landscaped grounds, and great views from inside and outside casa. The infinity rooftop pool was fantastic. Unfortunately, we weren't given the key to the rooftop shower and bathroom so we couldn't use those. There was no explanation for this deficiency in not allowing us to use amenities we paid for. The casa has tasteful decor and a good-sized living area. It's got a large and extremely well-equipped kitchen with pantry staples and every imagineable small tool, plus a quiet dishwasher. The fridge has a big freezer and an icemaker, but is inordinately loud and might be broken. The bedroom is fine. Its closet door, however, needs to be shaved down an inch or so; it opens and closes with great difficulty. The bathroom was nice and well-equipped. The glass block shower was big, had good water pressure and hot water, and thick towels. The TV/satellite were fine, but if you want to stream a movie, the WIFI could be unreliable as it was for us one night. We had one power failure for a couple of hours. The casa had tea light candles and lanterns, but could have used big candles for extended outages. The casa had ample AC, but we never had to use it. The ceiling fans were nice. The clothes dryer worked fine. The clothes washer, however, was the biggest source of problems, and something not handled well by Michelle Plaia, the property manager. After we had booked the house, but a few days before we arrived, Michelle advised that the washer didn't work. We were told that we'd get the key to Casa Victoria Lower as soon as those renters left a few days into our week. On the day promised, we didn't get the key. Michelle then advised we'd get the key the next morning. That didn't happen either. We finally got the key that evening. But when we lugged our dirty clothes downstairs to the lower unit and tried to use the lower unit's washer, it too was broken; it would start and fill with water, then stop. Reporting this to Michelle turned out to be a further waster of our vacation time. First she questioned our ability to use a washing machine, and whether we were in fact using the lower unit's machine, which she claimed had been used by the property owner recently. Then she said "someone will be by to check on it." After that, Michelle finally admitted that the lower unit's washing machine was indeed broken. She informed us we could use a local laundromat or a Culebra clothes cleaning service. Michelle did not offer to arrange or pay for either of these options. We ended up wringing out our soaking wet but still unwashed clothes, drying them and lugging them back to our upper unit. After we got back home, I asked Michelle for a partial refund for this. She ignored the request for several days, and when she did finally respond, she claimed the delay was due to "island time." Ultimately she offered $50 on a $1300 rental, not counting cleaning fee and $300 security deposit. Another caveat besides the less-than-competent property management: if you rent Casa Victoria and rent a Jeep or golf cart, be advised that Casa Victoria sits on a steep hill. Only a 4-wheel-drive vehicle can handle this hill. A 2-wheel-drive vehicle needs a low gear to surmount the hill, and even then, it's a struggle and a danger. We rented both a golf cart and a Kia Sportage each for a few days, and the golf cart did better on the hill than the Sportage, but both were pretty scary. One rainy night, we had to park the Sportage at the neighbor's house at the bottom of the hill, because the Sportage couldn't be trusted to go up the hill in any gear.
