Like almost all places in Culebra, this place isn't super fancy. However, their patio with a fantastic view of the bay and location within walking distance of "town" can't be beat (who doesn't want to be right next door to Dinghy Dock?!) I love the open seating area with hammocks, lounge chairs, and other seating arrangements. The staff is very friendly though not always the most helpful (for example, the light above our bed didn't work and the receptionist promised to send someone the next day who never came). But besides those small things and the fact that it's not a luxury hotel, it's a great place to stay on Culebra. Note that the openness of the floor plan does make for a fairly social atmosphere-- if you are staying here with a group of guests who are loud or like to stay up late drinking and talking, you will definitely hear them (but everyone is super friendly so you might as well join them!)
Even if you aren't stay here (or if you are), I highly recommend doing a boat charter with Captain Rico. We took the boat out to Culebra with 10 or so other people and had a beautiful day. It was super relaxing-- they had all the equipment if you wanted to paddle board or snorkel, or you could just read a book on the boat. Everything was included-- lunch, beer, booze, equipment! I get very seasick on boats and Rico went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable offering to "let me drive" the boat to take my mind off of the waves. The friendly staff and gorgeous views really make Villa Boheme stand out among other guesthouses in Culebra. read more
