After reserving a jeep 3 weeks early, Jerry's did not answer our calls the day we were to arrive at Culebra. We called 10 times. We left a message, no call back. When they answered, they told us we could not have a jeep today. We had to wait until tomorrow! We needed the vehicle: we had plans for the evening. they said we could not have a vehicle. They said it was because we were taking the 3:30 pm ferry which arrived past their business's hours! No mention until this point. Essentially, they gave us no guidance as to which ferry to take or not take, and did not answer phone calls at their business yet for three weeks knew we were coming in today and needed a vehicle. read more

I understand issues w being short staffed; however, today we were to pick up the mule at about 10:30 and we didn't get everything situated until about 11:45am bc there was only 1 girl doing all the check in's/returns/ instructions / etc. We had to ask to bring it in an hour later bc that time was wasted while we waited for paperwork, etc at the office. If you had this booked ahead of time and when it's time to get off the ferry they will only drive the 'driver' / person whose name it's under to their office. So the rest of us walked there despite the van only having 3 people & there being more than enough space. Totally understandable if it had been full but it wasn't. Other than that, no other significant issues. But the process in the beginning was pretty rough/long especially when it's hot out. read more

Wish I could rate zero stars. It's a SCAM!! Deceptive practices...charging for things that are not clearly spelled out when renting online. The jeep was in bad conditions with bald tires. Got a flat tire last night and had to deal with it for two hours until a taxi guy helped us. No phone number for emergencies. No discount, only a desk person who told us we were not authorized to change tires and we were not given any discount for a car that broke down on us. STAY AWAY from this company. We rented a golf cart from this company, and while the location is very convenient--right across from the airport--the experience was disappointing. Our golf cart was extremely slow, making it frustrating to get around. Additionally, when we rented it, we were verbally told we could return it anytime before closing without issue. We planned our entire day around that, only to be hit with a late fee when we returned it as agreed. We've reached out via email to resolve this, but there has been no response. She interrupted as I was explaining the ferry situation and said "can you just get to the point?" I paused for probably 5 seconds, looked at her utterly confused, and then finished my question. Jerry's Jeep Rental is the BEST on Culebra!!! Would 1000% recommend them for car/Jeep/atv rentals. They were SUPER accommodating for our group of 6 travelers, which can be a hard number to travel with. I reserved a vehicle in advance, and they personally called me to verify that I would be arriving that day to pick it up. Though we arrived via plane, they also have a shuttle that goes back and forth from the ferry. The vehicle we received was incredibly roomy for our large group, and the pickup and dropoff process were v easy. When we arrived at 8 am for dropoff, they were open for service as stated. Just overall excellent, no-fuss, 10/10 experience!! In case anyone else gets confused like we did, they are located right across the street from the airport in a little shop. They have an office at the airport, but the office isn't actually open (as far as I know). read more

Scam alert Very sad leaving our favorite place to vacation but also wondering what in the world happened to Jerry's Jeeps?!? As if 800 a week wasn't high enough, they now charge a cleaning fee for your Jeep of $150 that they never said anything about and online the price was the same for drop off at 10 or at 11 and we dropped off at 1045 and were charged a extra 25 that we also weren't told about when I called the night before to check about keeping it for 45 extra minutes. We came to Culebra all the time before Covid years and couldn't wait to come back! We have always used Jerry's and have never in 16 trips to Culebra ever paid 977 for a week rental! I'm in absolute shock about all the hidden charges you can't even find anything about them on their website. I'm definitely done with Jerry's at these prices. * Also our Jeep had very little sand and some Pringle crumbs on the floor from my son. where are you supposed to even clean it before drop off? This place is a scam. We were charged $100 per day for a crap golf cart that was painfully slow at first, then broke down altogether. Twice they promised to fix it, but did not. The bottom line is that your vacation time drains while they make money off tourists they assume are too stupid to know any better. You are dumb money to them. We booked and paid for the reservation online and tried to call and email them to let them know we will be arriving by ferry so they can pick us up. They did not answer our calls or emails. Was looking at Jerry and Carlos jeep rental to rent a golf cart for my day trip to Culebra. Jerry online booking was not working at the time so I tried to call. It was during business hours but phones kept going to voicemail. Lastly, I sent an email via the website to try to reserve a golf cart for the next day. After a couple of house of no response I went ahead and reserved a golf cart with Carlos jeep rental with no issue. These guys are con artists with golf carts. after being charged 89 dollars for a 1 day rental on a golf cart "with insurance" the windscreen got cracked when it flopped up while we were driving. My friend and I took a day trip to Culebra and decided to get a jeep rental after landing at the local airport. It was hands down, the BEST DECISION EVER! I didn't do much research prior to arriving in Culebra and was under the impression that we could cab it everywhere. I was also expecting to spend the majority of the day at a single location - Flemenco Beach. Getting the jeep rental gave us the opportunity to explore the entire island (yes, the ENTIRE island) in under 8 hours for just $50! Totally worth it! Culebra is an incredibly small island and if you are easily bored like myself, then you will want to explore as much as you can. With the jeep rental, we were able to visit major beaches to swim and snorkel including Flemenco, Zoni, Tamarindo, Melones, Punta Soledad, and more! If you are looking to travel on land, jeeps are definitely the way to go. Many of the roads were also unpaved, which allowed us to have some fun with off-roading ;) Parking around the island is very easy and plentiful. Service was super quick and easy from the beginning to the end! If you're on the island of Culebra, then Jerry's Jeep Rentals are the way to go! read more

When we arrived they assured us that we needed to purchase the car insurance due to the bad driver on the island, the girl said that it will be an additional $15 but in fact it was $15 per day. )However, when we reserved the gentlemen stated that the quoted price included the insurance)Then, we got a crash car which hey refused to change even though there were over cars sitting in their lot trough out our stay. At checkout, we were charged an additional $45 for car dents which we obviously didn't do. Finally, we waited for 25 minutes to be taken back to town to catch the ferry and this was after I complained of the unprofessionalism of their business. We waited for you an hour in the sun for them to come with a shuttle because they confirmed there would be one, but they never did . We then walked 1 mile in the sun with bags to find them literally ignoring all calls as they rang because they didn't feel like answering that day. You have been warned , you may not get a car and/or shuttle . Rude customer service, gave us a broken down golf cart that was dangerous to drive, and when we returned it 15 minutes later, they said they would be returning the money to our bank account but didn't. I AM APPALLED! First they were supposed to pick me and my family up from the docks, we told them the time we were to arrive and they did NOT pick us up. I had to leave my family watching our backs while I walked all the way to the rental place and even though we had a reservation they gave us a jeep that not only had bumps all over the place, the steering wheel jiggled enery time you pressed the gas, we almost went off the road a couple times. When I told the manager about this he told us "If you wanted to have a new car here you should've bought one." I've never been so disgusted at such bad customer service in my entire life. We couldn't rent a car there because cars were totally booked and we only stayed there for one day. But I'd like to tell you about someone that helped us a lot. I don't know who he is but he wore that company's t-shirt picked us up and dropped in a hotel without any charge. It might be happened sometimes. But after that day, when we were in hurry to get ferry, we couldn't catch any taxi so we just ran and running out of time. Then, he saw us and picked us up again! I really appreciate him about it. I even couldn't say merry christmas to him. Do not rent anything from Jerry's Jeeps, or you may be swindled. I went there on a Tuesday evening in the hopes of renting a golf cart on which to scoot around the island for the roughly 36 hours that my wife and I would be there. The nice woman at the desk informed me that there was a Jeep available if we wanted it. I told her what day and time we'd be dropping it off and asked her how much it would cost. She said $84. Surprised at how cheap that rate sounded, I asked her explicitly, "That's a total charge for the entire time we have the vehicle?" She confirmed this. I asked yet again, and she confirmed. We rented the Jeep. When we dropped the Jeep off at the agreed-upon date and time, Jerry himself charged us $160 for the rental, reasoning that we'd had the vehicle for two full days. When we informed him of what his employee, who was absent at the time, told us it would cost, he pointed out that the rate she quoted was per day and that, again, we'd had the Jeep for two full days. He didn't bother apologizing for her mistake. He then very quickly showed me a crudely scribbled math equation that he'd put on our invoice to condescendingly prove that the charge was correct. He then suggested that he'd even given us a discount. I repeated that his employee had explicitly told us a different rate and that we wouldn't have rented the vehicle otherwise, to which he pointed out that English was her second language and that there must have been a communication breakdown. This might have been true, but his bringing it up was insulting to our intelligence at that moment, given that he was obviously jobbing us, not to mention that we'd enjoyed a perfectly fluent conversation with her in English two nights before. By this time, our flight was about to depart and we didn't have time to protest further. The stealth and politeness with which Jerry bilked us out of $75 suggests to me that he'd done this before and will attempt to do so again. I don't believe our increased rate was due to a cultural misunderstanding, as he wanted us to believe. I believe it was a lightly-coordinated effort that wouldn't have been a big deal had we not been traveling on a budget. If you're going to Culebra, hopefully you're on a looser budget than we were and can thus afford to part with more of your money than you expected to. Regardless of your budget, avoid Jerry's Jeeps. Don't let him make you feel stupid and don't run the risk of tainting an otherwise wonderful experience on a beautiful island full of otherwise nice and square-dealing people. read more

They get the job done. Competitive prices, but with add on's it ends of not being too cheap. I was alone as a single rider and don't think it was worth it on my own and should have just kept utilising the publicos. If you had 2 or more it probably would be worth it. I did enjoy having the access to get to some of the smaller beaches, off the beaten track. Golf cart was in fine condition. Very easy to use and no real problems at all. read more

Directly located across the airport in Culebra, it's is extremely convenient. They were very hospitable, the lady working knew the owner of where we were staying and offered to call him for us. Gave us a brief note to where we were going and we were off. Returning the car was quick and easy. Easy to make a reservation, nice people, pickup and dropoff was painless. Our golf cart was kind of slow and made loud pop noises from the exhaust when we accelerated too much. My only complaint is that this place is expensive. We had a 10% off from the place we were staying, but ended up being $140 for 2 days and 5 hours (charged at $8/hr) including all the taxes.. A lot of taxes and extra charges. The only reason we didn't go with Carlos Rental which is much cheaper was because we were in a rush and I didn't have time to change the reservation. read more

FRAUD! and rude First off, this company gave us a wrong and misleading quote. When we wanted to book a golf cart, they told us it was booked for the day and that it would be cheaper for us to book a jeep for $45 for just one day, and then book a golf cart later in the evening for 2 days for the price of $55 total for the golf cart. When we asked the boss twice to confirm that it would be $55 for the golf cart total for 2 days (because the numbers didn't quite add up to us)- she said yes "that's what the system said." We asked her to confirm again, and she said yes, so we decided to book the Jeep under the reliance that the golf cart would be ~$55 total for 2 days (not one day). Upon returning the jeep, we were then told that to book the golf cart it would be ~ $108 - for 2 days, and the ~$55 cost was for just one day. Then we recalled to the employees the conversation from the morning, but employees were rude and disrespectful. They said we were mistaken and that the boss never gave us a $55 total quote, and then refused to give us the price priorly promised and that we relied upon in getting a Jeep we never wanted in the first place. Employees then refused to let us talk to their boss over the phone to confirm, and refused to allow us to see the video in their office as evidence of the morning conversation. Blatant violation of consumer protection and contractual obligations. Don't book from this company ... they can't be trusted! read more

Incredibly friendly staff, very accommodating and insightful! I have heard horror stories from other rental companies on the island, but the staff at Jerry's couldn't have been more accommodating from tips for traveling to an from the island, directions to the Airbnb I was staying in, replacing the lock for the golf cart after someone broke it, to even giving me a ride to the ferry after I dropped off my cart. We loved renting from Jerrys! A guy from the ferry kept saying they had old jeeps and Carlos Jeeps was much better. But looking at Carlos reviews on yelp, I noticed they charged $100 if you return the jeep damp from the beach. We didn't wanna risk any extra fees so we called and made a reservation to pick us up at 9 am to take us to their office. I'm taking away one star because they never came so we called and called and finally they picked up the phone (they were busy) and they came. The jeep was a beautiful 2017 four door for 80 bucks. We even got lost and they were ok w us returning it 40 mins later! Overall awesome friendly staff and I'm happy we avoided bad potholes in our jeep than a golf cart, we even saw a girl get hit in the face by branches on a cart. Also Carlos jeeps took our name and phone down and NEVER called us back for a rental. read more
