If you are out of the business hours, the pick up will be next morning 9am. We booked one day ahead to pick up at 9am instead of 1 pm. It was worth it! Airport & Drop-off: The drop-off process is incredibly convenient. If you take the early flight, you can drop the car in a parking lot next to airport --2-3 minute walk with $25 drop fee. Work hours, they offer a prompt airport pick up and drop off. The most surprise part is I accidentally took the car keys with me back to San Juan! I was so worried about how to return her key or pay for the lost key, but Julimar was understanding I was rush to the airport. I communicated with her and shipped the keys back to her overnight using USPS, she did not charge any extra fees for that. I am trully appreciate. Vehicle Recommendation: We had a Kia, which was sufficient for most main roads. However, some roads on the island are quite rough/unpaved, so a Jeep would definitely be better, more comfortable choice for exploring. Thank you, Julimar, for making our trip so much easier. Highly recommend! The beach is beautiful in the island.

I texted to let them know at 6:57am we'd need the extended time and they responded with "call in morning to see" and then turned around again and said no. We'd already booked something because they said it was fine just to let them know when we picked up. Also when I dropped off the car, she tried to tell me there was new damage to the car and had to show the video I took before leaving. ALSO on the rental contract it says there is a fee for returning with sand in the car or wet seats. In a beach town.... Go with Maritza's or Segura

We were going to find a golf car rental but Jorge gave us a deal for the same amount that we wouldve spent for the golf car on a Suzuki Vitara. Although old, the car was fantastic for this type of trip due to its versatility on the mountain and was the perfect car for this island vibe. He gave us a great price and he made it easier than any rental to use and return the car. Super nice and charismatic guy. Definitely cannot go wrong

(he refers to it as Pepe, "My Little Mule") Well our taxi driver Jorge on the isle of Vieques gave us a ride on his Little Mule. We called him up a few hours before our flight was due to leave, and set up a place to meet him on the Malecon of Esperanza (near the beach). We called them a little bit before our pick up time, and he said he was already there. So, we met up with him and threw our stuff into his white van, aka Pepe. Vieques is a small island east of the main island of Puerto Rico. It is known for it's world famous beaches, laid back feel, and small one-lane roads. Jorge picked us up, and BOOM! We were on our way. He zipped us around the island at light speed. He knew where every turn and bump was. "Hey maam, you ready?" he asked. He then sped up a little and we went over a little hill and our tummy's totally felt it---roller coaster style. Jorge was super nice, and gave us a tour of the island and advice----I SOOO wish we hooked up with him when we arrived on Vieques: next time! Since he was getting us to the airport way ahead of schedule, he went and gave us a tour of the W Resort (it's on the way to the airport). Jorge also works for this hotel and many customers knew him and gave him high 5's---he even picked up a few people when we stopped there. But yeah, he told us to get out and check out the resort: Ummm, yeah, it's a pretty high class hotel (I guess they filmed a recent episode of The Bachelor there). So yes, if you are ever in Vieques, make Jorge the first person you call. He (& his Little Mule) will take care of you and get you to where you need to go.

The pick up from the ferry was convenient and timely - very kind staff. Once arriving to the site, we noticed another client arguing with them about leaving them with no transportation back to the ferry, and false advertising. I minded my business but eventually I understood their point. When we arrived they aggressively told me that I wasn't allowed to go into the office, and only my friend was because she was the primary driver (understandable but the method of communication about that rule wasn't respectful whatsoever). She went in and finalized the paperwork, and when returning to me she was followed by Enid who wasn't respectful or kind whatsoever. She was explaining the instructions to her only, when I was a secondary driver and was disregarding the fact that I didn't understand Spanish. I went to ask her a question and she rudely responded. What I found out later was that she was pressuring my friend to write her a 5 star review (literally taking her phone and inputting her name and a 5 star rating) which was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. We were given a golf cart with a faulty lock and upon returning were told to only come in if we were returning the vehicle. They eventually replaced our lock after having to repeat the reason for coming twice. When it was time to return the vehicle, they told us we had no other option but to get a taxi to get to the ferry (even after promising transportation back) there weren't people waiting, there was no reason they couldn't drive us the 6 minute drive. I wouldn't recommend this business, Enid topped it all and truthfully would be the reason I seek another company in the future. The cat who hopped into our golf cart was the best part of the experience Don't book here

This place completely ruined our family trip to Vieques. The ladies at the desk were shockingly rude, arrogant, and showed zero customer service or basic decency. The UTV was old, worn and loud, and the entire experience felt like a calculated money grab. Avoid at all costs, this place operates like a scam.

Service - we tried calling the office as soon as we landed in vieques, no answer. We called multiple times before they finally answered and then we were told that the lady came and left already after having never called us. Reluctantly she came back to pick us up. She pulled up in her car, didn't say a word and did not offer to help with any our bags. We didn't need help with the bags, but a hello would have been appreciated. Car - Yeesh. Our car had a screw in the front tire that we discovered after only a few miles of driving. Instead of getting to spend our precious time in vieques on the beach, we had to find the garage she uses to patch the tire--and she didn't answer the phone or call back when we called to ask for the garage's name, so we had to go to them and ask. Aside from the tire, the jeep was well used. It had issues turning left, the radio didn't work, and it just didn't sound like a happy vehicle. Price - we paid the same price as other car rental locations for an inferior vehicle. Additionally, we were told our car had more gas than was present. We had to ask multiple times to change our paperwork to reflect the actual fuel level. And previous clients' paperwork--with names and credit card stubs--were in the glove box still. Let's just say the rates didn't appear to be uniform. Overall - it's not worth it. There are other car rental companies on the island. Use them instead. We had a perfectly good experience with Maritza's in the past, and Chepito's is supposed to be good, too.

Not only did they neglect to inform tick holders, they canceled every ferry ride for the entire day...even the ones scheduled well before 2pm. Our ferry was scheduled for 7:30 and if not for our taxi driver canceling our ride to the ferry terminal at 5:30am, we would not have known. My fiance and I ended up spending $120 booking last minute flights so that we wouldn't be stranded. Terrible customer service. Unethical business practices as well as we received no refund for our ticket. The ferry company used the protest as an excuse to force tourists to spend more money on the local economy, by making them pay for flights. Absolutely disgusting. Vieques is beautiful. What I liked about the service was letting them know west time the Puerto Rico ferry would be dropping us off on Culebra. They picked us up from the ferry and drove us 5 minutes to their business location. There must have been 7 of us waiting in line to rent a vehicle. The problem was there was only one girl doing all the paperwork. This took some time and you could see every one was antsy to move in with their day. She was by no means in a hurry to get us checked in and out the door. I will say there would have been no way we could have made it to our cottage located on one of the largest hills on the island that over looked Flemingo beach. We took the off road route to get to the beach instead of being with the crowd or having to pay the entrance fees per person and per vehicle. There was no way a golf cart or even a car would have survived that fort road and I'm still wondering if it was even a road. But the jeep did us well. We had no problems with it. Or was comfortable and my girlfriend was able to connect her iPhone and listen to her music and / or podcasts. The only issue was we needed to make sure to fill the gas tank back up before returning the vehicle. We finally found a gas station near the ferry dock but there was a large line to wait. They must only have one gas pump. Plus road construction didn't help us. We had a jeep to return and a ferry to catch, so we decided to pay the rental fee for gas. I found out that the price for gas was $17.00 a gallon. Luckily I only needed one gallon. I will use Carlos Jeep Rental when I return to Culebra island.
