I got the Dalgona shaved ice which was topped with a scoop of ice cream and a honeycomb sugar cookie. The cookie itself is a little overpowering by itself, but if you break chunks of it off to eat with the shaved ice it's absolutely perfect. The shaved ice was really smooth. It was the perfect size and pretty light, so I still had plenty of room for dinner later. There's additional seating on the second story, and very cute and aesthetic. My mom tried the seasonal corn latte and she really enjoyed it. Might sound a bit strange, but the corn flavor is pretty subtle but the latte was very creamy. Really glad we stumbled upon this cute dessert shop! The staff were really friendly and provided some recommendations.

Came here three times during my three days in Calgary. Coming from California, we have a ton of…read moregood food to compare to this. It was super busy the first day we tried it on a Saturday evening. The other two times we came, it was pretty dead. So I would say the crowd can be hit or miss, but expect a long wait during peak times (Fri/Sat evening). Tried like 10 different items. I think my favorite was the jumbo mochi. It had fruit, ice cream, wrapped in mochi. It was the most well-rounded. I would skip on the mochi with peanuts, egg tart mochi, and Thai tea with tiger pearl (giant grass jelly balls). Many on the items are similar, with slight variations and it's hard to tell the different between them. The dessert with lemon and chia seeds was ok. I liked that it was on the lighter side, but the lemon flavor was too strong for me. The options with ice cream in them were the best. They make each item to order, so it can be a little slow but it's understandable. Order on the kiosk and wait to be called to pick up your order. You can order some of the items from the noodle side and I believe you can go sit inside that area as well. Tables only seem to be put out in the hallway during peak times, after the other businesses are closed. Parking is difficult. We were able to get lucky with free parking about a block away. There is a pay parking lot next to it, but it's a little expensive imo and it's very small/tight.

I should've gotten their seasonal strawberry or mango matcha for some flavor or any of their matcha desserts. I got the o-matcha latte, so I can taste what their matcha tastes like without any additional flavor. I couldn't taste the matcha in the drink. It was a little sweet & flavorless. I also tried the o-matcha maple syrup & salt latte. The maple flavor is subtle & adds a little flavor to the matcha. I can't really taste the matcha in this drink either.

Really unique ice cream flavors!…read more I was previously recommended village ice cream as a place to visit while visiting Calgary. They have an always flavors menu and a seasonal menu flavor. I tried their north 49 honeyberry flavor (always flavors) and their matcha lemon cookie flavor (seasonal flavor). I really liked the north 49 honeyberry flavor because of the slight tartness of the ice cream. I also don't like my ice cream too overbearingly sweet so north 49 honeyberry flavor was a good choice for me. The matcha lemon cookie was a solid optional too for a seasonal flavor. I'm a sucker for matcha flavor and the lemon cookie complemented the matcha well. The lemon cookie also added nice contrasts in texture too. The ambiance is nice too, I like the open space and greenery. I feel like the thorough menu description beforehand was a good touch so I felt very confident in what I wanted when ordering since the descriptions for flavors were so detailed. Would recommend trying Village Ice Cream and there are several locations throughout Calgary!

I went in at 7pm, there were still lots of cake selections to choose from. I got a piece of the Napoleon cake. It was not good at all. It didn't taste fresh. The inside was supposed to be flaky and crispy like a waffle. Unfortunately, it didn't taste like that at all.It was mushy and chewy in the center. They added a lot of icing sugar to make it sweet and attempted to make it fancy looking. But that is just add on that I can go to any grocery stores and get and put it on any cake. the top 2 cracker pieces were not crispy at all. It was super chewy like it has absorbed a lot of moister that it is no longer fresh. I am not sure if they made the cake the night before or if it has been sitting for days unsold in the fridge. I have had way better cake before. The piece of cake was not worth $3.99. Note that this place is ran by Chinese and sells Hong Kong style cake. They do not make French pastries or cakes. They are also not a Japanese cake store. I have been to France and Japan and no their cakes don't look even close like their cakes. I will not be back and will not recommend coming here. They do not accept credit cards for purchases under $10. Cash or debit only.

Every time I come, I am consistently seated near the entrance, even though there are many other tables available. I also always order a decaf Americano. On one occasion, despite ordering a decaf Americano, I was served a latte instead and was told that decaf Americano was not available at this café. I have allergies to both milk and caffeine. The drink was only replaced after I clearly explained my allergies to the staff member who was serving me. I was even charged an additional fee for making the drink iced that day. What I found hard to understand was that the same staff member asked me to leave a Google review at the time -- which is why I am writing this review today. This is a menu item I order regularly, which made the situation even more confusing. Overall, the repeated seating choices and lack of attentiveness made me feel uncomfortable and singled out as a customer.
