I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. It was right around the corner from our hotel.
A gentleman outside greeted us to come in, they were pretty slow. He spoke just enough English to get by. I see from Yelp reviews this is a family owned business. We could see the two owners walking around and trying to help out. Anyhow, our server who could be the son, was quite friendly and personable.
Our food came out pretty fast, and was hot and delicious! If you watch Bar Rescue and are a fan of John Taffer, then you know from watching his show when he critiques pizzerias he is a fan of a good crust. And you know, that a GOOD crust, that when you pick up a slice, ur pizza shouldn't bend. The crust should be able to hold its shape. And let me tell you, the pizza here, has GOOD crust. And that is hard to find in Italy. Most pizzas here, have a super soft and soggy crust. Which I thought was odd since Italy is known (at least in the U.S) to have the best pizza, from my experience so far, not so much. At least the crust anyway. I digress....lol...
I also read in the Yelp reviews that people thought this place was trying to intentionally rip people off. I disagree...we did have the son take our payment, and then a little later the father came and asked for payment. I believe this is a miscommunication within the family, and then a language barrier with us. After the son came over and told him we paid, it was a quick done deal. These people are not trying to "rip" off Americans....the parents are older, the owners, and tying to assist, not realizing the son really does have it handled. Lol. So give these guys a break...lol.
So yeah, great food, great service, and nice seating outside the restaurant...I would come eat at this place again in a heart beat. :) read more
