We tried several dishes, but some of my favorites were the tostones topped with lechón, El Rumberito for sharing, the Poquito de Todo, and especially the Pasta Cuba Mía with ropa vieja -- absolutely delicious. The flavors really reminded me of home. Their cocktails are also worth trying; everything we ordered tasted great and the presentation was beautiful. The menu has a lot of variety, the prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous. They also have Happy Hour and weekend entertainment with DJs or live bands depending on the night. Highly recommend making a reservation on busy weekends. Definitely a place I would visit again.

But I'm not sure if there were changes in the kitchen. The food started to taste bland or too salty and after a couple of tries, we were there last around December 2024. Lo and behold, daughter was visiting and decided to give it a try since she hasn't been back to mambo in a while, food was very good and delicious, just like before. Here we are planning our next visit

The restaurant is BYOB, which we appreciate. We had some delicious Beef Empanadas for an appetizer. They were well filled and served with a tasty dipping sauce. My husband had the Picana Steak with Chimichurri Sauce and White Rice with Black Beans. I had the Sancocho. I absolutely loved this dish. Loved all the different textures and flavors. There is not a ton of meat, but it is very inexpensive. I was still full and satisfied after eating. My husband was very pleased with his dish as well. We shared the Coconut Flan and the Tres Leches Cake for dessert. Both were excellent! Good coffee as well We both enjoyed our meal and we will definitely return.

Ordered this from Yelp for delivery. It came on time. Still nice and hot!! At first glance it was plated the way it normally is, smelled authentic too. Now, as I began to dig into this the first bite was on point and then I killed the entire meal!! Bite after bit a goodness the plantains were mashed perfectly, the Salami was perfectly cooked and juicy. The red onions seasoned perfectly and the egg yolk nice a runny all over the mashed plantains. This took me back and I definitely loved it. I also got me a good old fashioned Cuban sandwich and my goodness it was really huge and had lots of fresh pernil on it and took a bite of it and was in heaven!!! Overall everything was excellent!! Spanish Version of my review: Vi esto como una sugerencia y yo siendo dominicano, puse este lugar para el resto esta mañana. Tengo un desayuno tradicional dominicano Los Tres Golpes (Mangu, Salami, Huevos Fritos, Queso Frito). Pedí esto en Yelp para su entrega. Llegó a tiempo.

My husband ordered a chicken empanada and it was filled with chicken and rice and not fully fried. When I asked the server to fry it some more, she brought a new one out that was a bit more fried but just as pale as the first one. The inside was not tasty at all and it was definitely not colombian. Then there was the stale Colombian beef empanadas. These were probably the worst of all. We also ordered a bread that we asked if it was filled with cheese, the server said yes....and it had ham and cheese, so my son did not eat it. This could've just been a miscommunication, but most places tend to clarify when it is not just cheese, but also includes something else with it. The menu is very small, so I decided to order a burger which was made with pulled beef and was actually delicious. They also have Colombian style scrambled eggs and coffee which my husband liked. If it's just based on food I would say it was 50/50 your chances of getting something tasty, but because the service was not attentive or friendly (we were the only people in the cafe for awhile), it is not a place I would return to. Maybe it was just an off day?

Especially when you are not in the mood for your own cooking and you just feel like grabbing something to eat instead. It's a small baut nice bakery. A little bit of a fast paced environment. So we ordered a few empanadas, pastries and coffee. Everything we ordered was delicious but I have to say my favorite savory was the Beef empanadas. Perfectly seasoned and crunchy on the outside. The pastries soft with the sweetness of the dulce de leche. Now their coffee to me personally I've had better. I fell like the food and pastries make up for the coffee. I still fell in love with this place. Isn't a cozy home away from home type of vibe. Wish we didn't live in Orlando so I can become a regular here but what can I do?
