At that point, I discovered that several items were missing, including a mirror, two dressers, and an exercise bike. What makes this situation even more concerning is that the night before, I had actually made an arrangement with the facility employee to purchase the two dressers and mirror for $100. Despite that agreement, those items were gone when I returned. To be clear, I regularly purchase storage units and complete multiple auctions a month, and I have never had an issue like this before. I always understand the risks involved in buying storage units, but this situation raises serious concerns about access and handling of contents after auction purchase. I reported the issue, but the experience has left me feeling uneasy about the security and oversight at this facility. I hope management takes situations like this seriously and improves transparency going forward for future buyers.

She almost refused to offer receipt confirmation of my transaction. After asking for it twice, she finally agreed to get up out of her seat to check-in my rented Uhaul truck. Upon jumping in the vehicle, she haphazardly blurted that something was in the truck (i.e., my fiancé's singular blanket). I said that I could retrieve it. As I'm latching onto the sides of the truck to enter, she starts the motor of truck (as I'm entering the back), which seems dangerously rocky (from the back of shaky truck). When she finally checked in my vehicle and offered a printed receipt, I was charged inaccurately. At several points of conversation, I had to continually ask if she was speaking to me or the cell phone conversation participant. She continued to have casual conversation with a friend (via Bluetooth) for our entire interaction. I am hard of hearing, which makes horrible customer service experiences even worse to manage. I asked to speak with a manager. The experience continued to deteriorate from there, and I finally had to contact the corporate phone number. Mrs. De La Cruz (from corporate customer service) was warm hearted and wonderful, though.
