They had it listed on FB marketplace for $15, 500. per the adult female passenger, "he's usually a better driver". This wasn't the first time the kid was driving in the lot, just the first time something happened. I missed our Mother's Day camping trip and our Memorial Day weekend trip. We had to dip into our savings to get another camper, to bridge the gap from insurance. At no point during this process did Jen or her father ever try to make things right, they only made attempts to benefit and shield themselves.

That would have been enough to get them to my first level of peripatetic sainthood, hands down. But it gets better. A couple of years later, I stored my things at EZ Storage again in preparation for my next cross-country move (again with free pickup, thanks to a sweet student-moving deal). I'd already landed on the west coast when the moving plans changed from driving to shipping. Ray built a pallet, packed my things onto it, and helped with shipping logistics, for a very very nominal charge. Who does that?! Would I still have all my things without Ray and Sue? Probably... but maybe not. Would I be able to think about moving without flinching? Not a chance. Would I have such faith in humanity and the kindness of relative strangers? A resounding no! They did NOT charge me for extra mileage, but the app should adjust for distance they add.

If you get a quoted price online, lock it in for six month or a year by pre-paying if you can. ALSO remember - you can get your own rental unit insurance from any number of companies for half what the rental unit companies will charge you and bring in proof of insurance at the time you rent (but you MUST do it in person). ALSO ALSO remember - you can also bring your own secure lock and not pay $20 for one of their locks. Do all of the above and any smart reasonable manager or employee is going to make your rental process smooth and painless.
