She almost refused to offer receipt confirmation of my transaction. After asking for it twice, she finally agreed to get up out of her seat to check-in my rented Uhaul truck. Upon jumping in the vehicle, she haphazardly blurted that something was in the truck (i.e., my fiancé's singular blanket). I said that I could retrieve it. As I'm latching onto the sides of the truck to enter, she starts the motor of truck (as I'm entering the back), which seems dangerously rocky (from the back of shaky truck). When she finally checked in my vehicle and offered a printed receipt, I was charged inaccurately. At several points of conversation, I had to continually ask if she was speaking to me or the cell phone conversation participant. She continued to have casual conversation with a friend (via Bluetooth) for our entire interaction. I am hard of hearing, which makes horrible customer service experiences even worse to manage. I asked to speak with a manager. The experience continued to deteriorate from there, and I finally had to contact the corporate phone number. Mrs. De La Cruz (from corporate customer service) was warm hearted and wonderful, though.

No advance notice. No contingency plan. No attempt to make the situation right. This left our family completely stranded on moving day. We were required to vacate our apartment due to the end of our lease, and this company abandoned us at the last possible moment with all of our belongings packed and nowhere to turn. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of support that followed. No alternative crews were offered. No referrals. No meaningful assistance whatsoever. We were simply told they would not be showing up. When I asked to speak with the owner, the manager, Drew, refused to connect me and stated that the owner would call me in two days. As a business owner myself, I was shocked by the lack of accountability and customer service. When your company creates an emergency for a customer, the least you can do is make yourself available and work toward a solution. Reliability is the single most important quality in a moving company, and unfortunately, this company demonstrated that they cannot be counted on when it matters most.
