The company tricked me with a low estimation to get my business and when the movers come over the actual price almost doubled. The initial estimation the company gave me was $3200, with the same inventory list I provided for estimation, I end up have to pay $5300. Also in the end they don't take the trash away with them. A ton of plastic wraps and cardboards were left in my garage. I would not recommend this moving company, you can't trust what they say!

The person we spoke to was articulate and ensured we received our complete order: boxes, covers, and easy and fast check-in. Moving is hard enough so to encounter a person who is good at his job and made our day easier is a blessing. The crates stack up very neatly, unlike cardboard boxes, and are much easier for the movers to move. The drop-off and pick-up were punctual and flexible. We originally booked for two weeks - took one week to pack, two days to unpack. BoxUp was able to pick up the crates early and get them out of our way. Reuben did the drop-off and pick-up and was very professional. BoxUp also conveniently offers other packing material to be delivered with the crates. They gave me a…read morequote for minimum 4 hours even though I had little to move. 1 bed, 1 dresser, 2 nightstands, 2 small night stands, 2 small shelves, 1 larger shelf and 2 chairs. 36 boxes that I could lift myself but since I had to pay the 4 hour minimum I let them take care of it. And 7 bins also I could lift myself. BTW I am an older woman with a bad back. No problem I'll pay the 4 hours. They did show up on time. My belongings were moved without a problem. Before they even started, Godwin the lead mover informed me that he would collect the cash for the move plus the tip and he would give it to the guys in the truck. I found this shocking. I also work for Tips. They are not expected and certainly not asked for. I also don't know if the other movers received any of it. As they carried things into the new apartment they took a 5 minute break between every trip just chatting. Still finished in under 4 hours. Shortly before they finished Godwin informed me, because they had to walked approximately 100 ft from the truck to my apartment it would be an extra $290!!!! They didn't actually "carry" anything they were prepared with everything on wheels of some sort. Then to top it off as I paid Godwin had my sign the receipt and write a review as he stared me down. We hired Pablo's Movers to help us move out of our house in the Bay Area to a new location a few…read morehours away. They arrived right on time on moving day. The two movers got right to work and started loading up the truck with our furniture, tons of boxes, a large refrigerator and large freezer, and a very large, heavy, delicate potted ficus. The guys were polite, respectful, and EFFICIENT!. They even rolled out a red carpet over our doorways to protect our floors and thresholds. Once our house was empty, they hopped in the truck and we met them at the new house, where they quickly began unloading and moving everything to one of three floors. This was all during a major heat wave of 100+ deg, but they did not miss a beat! A little over a month later, we are still finishing up unpacking, and we are astonished to note that absolutely nothing was damaged. I'm pretty sure this is unheard of with this kind of job.
