Accidents happen. Rear-ended a driver in front of me who braked all of a sudden. Welcome to Texas... My front bumper was partially smashed in although it was still drivable I couldn't live with looking at the damage everyday so I called Geico. They sent me to this place after I told them about my work schedule and they do have weekday friendly hours. The Geico claim agent lady along with guy who helped me with the loaner car at Enterprise Rent-a-car (although conveniently located here) were both friendly and made the process go smooth and quickly. I dropped off my car on Friday and was told they needed to order parts and would be ready by Monday at the earliest. Surprisingly I received a call the next day, Saturday, and they said my car was ready. This was more than 2 months ago and my bumper still looks like nothing ever happened to it. read more

If I could rate this company with "0" stars I would. They were recommended by my insurance company to fix my vehicle after the first repair shop dropped the ball - but Cubbage did anything but. First, they "promised" that I would have my vehicle back in 7-10 days, which it was not. Then, they were supposed to drive my vehicle back to the original repair shop, but one of the General Managers was "scared" to drive my car back, so I didn't get it back for another 3 days. Finally, I got my vehicle back and it was damaged in areas that were not originally damaged - bumper, dash, alignment, and other issues. When I called and spoke to the General Manager, he DENIED that "his shop" damaged any of my vehicle and he had pictures to prove it - and that I needed to go through my insurance company to figure it out. I still have not received any pictures. Finally - they were supposed to pay for my rental car and they did not. They are also now refusing to pay for my rental car while my vehicle is back in the shop FIXING THE DAMAGE THAT THEY CAUSED. This is currently ongoing and I will be happy to report the end result. I am hoping that they will fix my vehicle right the SECOND time. Customer service is not their strong suit. read more

I used Cubbage because they're part of the Geico repair program (which is excellent, by the way) and I was SO impressed with the quality of work, professionalism, and ease of service. All of my repairs were done so quickly and they went above and beyond typical repair shops. They fixed a headlight issue outside of the scope of work for this accident, without charging extra, and humbly didn't even point out that they had done it! I had a full front bumper replacement, alignment fix, hood damage, and some damage to my A/C compressor. They fixed all of it within 3 business days - the paint matches perfectly, my car looks amazing, and they even gave it a GREAT thorough wash. Definitely will use them again if needed, and recommend to friends! The convenience of having Enterprise inside the shop is great as well. read more

I came here after reading all of the great reviews on Yelp, but these guys were still able to exceed my expectations! A cat had been napping on my car, which was not a big deal until the dog tried to get after her. My car was covered in scratches on both the driver and passenger sides. I first took the car to my dealership where they tried to buff them out. They knew they had left a few scratches, but thought they did a pretty good job. When I checked it out, it was still covered in scratches! I decided to bring it to Cubbage for further options and estimate. I accidentally ended up at another body shop down the street. They told me that to get the scratches out, I would definitely need a full repair and further buffing would not do the trick. The estimate was almost $1000. So I decided to make my way to Cubbage as originally planned. Juan thought that maybe the scratches could still be buffed out using their orbital buffer, even though the dealership had previously failed using their "machine" buffer. And it was only going to be $20. Seemed worth it to me, so I let them take it back to try. Thy worked on it right away and my car was back in less than half an hour. Amazingly, almost every scratch was gone. I could not find them at all. One of the guys noticed a small one that he pointed out to me, but I still couldn't really see it. And it had been covered in scratches just 30 minutes prior. So...friendly, helpful, affordable, efficient, excellent workmanship. I ended up here after some guy rammed me into the giant truck in front of me on the expressway. To be honest, I wasn't in the most fantastic mood when dealing with any of the resulting issues. Jay and all the guys over at Cubbage made it manageable, easy, quick and did an excellent job. I have never written a review before, but I feel it is necessary this time. I wish I could write an awesome review for this place. I really wanted to based on the other reviews, and I was really excited about working with Cubbage to get my car fixed. However, I can not. Here were my problems: 1.) Upon performing the estimate for my car they told me they would fix two other scratches for free. When I came to pick up the car, they had not fixed the scratches. So, I reminded them about their promise. If you want to see the quality of their service for those scratches then look at my profile picture. :( 2.) Told me my car was done, went to pick it up on my lunch hour an had to wait for two hours for them to bring it out for me. *only to send it back so they could "fix" the scratches the promised to fix in the beginning. 3.) They returned my key covered in car paint. Had to ask them to clean that up too. 4.) They completely shut down my display console so that I no longer had stereo or any other functions. Had to ask them to fix that as well. 5.) They spilled something all over my passenger side front door speaker. Didn't even bother to ask them to fix that. I'll just clean it my self. 6.) Somehow they managed to tear the weatherstripping on the passenger side back door. This was the door that had the main damage that I brought the car in for. 7.) They left the interior of my car covered in a nice layer of dust. All in all, they did more damage to my car then what it had when I brought it in. I do NOT recommend them. I was able to go in - have adjuster look at vehicle, pick up rental car & have my car repaired within the week as promised. I came here for a Geico car damage inspection, and received a friendly, prompt service. Although the wait wasn't long, I still managed to enjoy the free juice boxes, water, and coffee that were in the waiting room. The personnel there were also knowledgeable and get the stuff done quickly. It is a shame that I wasn't able to have my car repaired here because of unrelated factors, but seeing how well Cubbage handled my inspection, I would not doubt that I would get the same high-quality service if I were leave my car here for repair. read more

I was very impressed by how quick and helpful these guys were! My left side view mirror got knocked off, which meant I needed to bring the car in to order the parts, and to get the mirror installed. Was in an out in less than a half hour for the first and took 1 hour to install. They also helped tape up my mirror in the mean time to protect my car and helped fix a minor issue with my bumper for free. I would definitely recommend these guys. Pros: Quality work, decent price, quick and thorough quote, office was generally courteous Cons: Not "cheap" but in range, manager seemed slightly impatient Took my car in for a quote here and a couple other places for some fairly large dents and seams (ranging from a parking garage post to a fallen tree branch of damage) on my recent model Corolla. They gave me a quote competitive with the others (the quotes were all pretty close). I chose them based on a number of review sites and initial impression. The location was clean, although with a small parking lot, and a small but sufficient waiting area. I told them I would be paying out of pocket (not one of the GEICO-insured). They told me the damage would take 6 days to fix, had me sign a sheet of paper ensuring that "All personal items had been taken out of the vehicle" or something to that effect, and took my keys. It was in fact repaired in 6 days. Very nice repairs, a clean vehicle, and no problems! My only issue I had with them was really when I asked about the source of pricing differences for individual items between their quote and another quote before I told them I wanted them. The worker at the front desk brought the manager out who seemed impatient/terse while I was trying to understand the itemised costs. Nothing terrible, but a little uncomfortable. After a scrape up in a parking lot, off to the body shop we go !! First of all they told me that I would be updated via text messages when work was done on my vehicle. I didn't get any texts other than when the work started and when it was complete, five days apart. I had to call and ask the status son my vehicle. Repairs ran two days longer than what I was quoted too. But overall the craftsmanship of the repaid is above par, if nothing else. read more

I recently got into an accident where a lady t-boned me, her insurance company(liberty mutual) was a headache all together it took them almost a month to get everything situated and for her to admit fault, because of how long that process took I was so nervous for my car repairs to take just as long considering it was a pretty big hit. They are polite over the phone, but that is all that was positive about my experience at Cubbage Collision. I brought my car in to have the rear driver's side fender repaired after a minor collision. First off, my car was not ready on time. Secondly, they will STEAL anything left in the car. Third, my car was returned very dirty, with grease on the roof, seats, carpet, and full of dust. Fourth, they put several new scratches in the paint and they damaged the tint on one of my windows. Finally, they take NO responsibility for their work and Geico is no better. It was originally supposed to be ready on a Monday-Tuesday. After not hearing from the shop I called on Tuesday afternoon. They explained that the car would be done on Wednesday and that I would hear more from that the following morning. There was no call, so I phoned back Thursday. They again promised that the car would be ready Friday or Saturday and that I would hear back with a status update shortly. This continued for another week. I did not receive a single call from Cubbage or the Geico representative. I made ten calls and the car was delayed two weeks. This was a serious inconvenience. As I said, the only work done to the car was in the rear driver's side area. When the repair was finally complete, I noticed that my car charger was missing from the center console. There was no reason for it to be opened. I called Cubbage and the Geico representative and asked if it was removed. I was promised a return phone call from both, but I did not receive one. After a second attempt, the matter remains unresolved. I am, glad that I removed everything of value as previous reviews mentioned theft. After giving the interior and exterior of the car a quick inspection, I noticed grease and dirt just about everywhere, not just in the areas I would expect - where work was done. The door panels were scuffed on the inside. The passenger seat had a grease stain. The read deck lid above the back seat was covered in grease. There were hand prints on the roof. It took me four hours to clean the interior. There were several scratched in the leather seats that I could not repair, and the tint was gouged in my rear window. Apparently Cubbage is not responsible for this damaged because I cannot prove they did it. The outside of the car was just as dirty as the inside. After taking it to a local car wash I noticed several new scratches, this time around the area that was repaired. Most notably, a 3 in by 1/8" scratch on the trunk. Once again, I could not prove they did it... In conclusion, go somewhere else. read more

I was involved in an accident and their insurance was with Geico. I decided to claim it through their insurance and was just expecting nothing but inconvenience and problems. BUT NOPE! This has been one of the best customer service I have ever received in my life. All thanks to the auto damage adjuster, Peter Torchia. Made an appointment and choose Cubbage Collisions due to the lifetime warranty of amaged area if I were to fix my vehicle at a Geico repair facility. Was apprehensive at first, thinking that they would try to minimize the damage on my vehicle and repair the minimum work needed. But NOPE. They have far exceeded my expectations. I ended up changing my appointment online on the Geico website the day before my scheduled appointment. (Note to others: Call Cubbage when you have changed your appointment, as they use a printed list of appointments and may not be updated). I was lucky that Peter was available right on the spot even though I had changed my appointment ahead of time. The front desk lady seemed skeptical as she was holding onto an older list of appointments and not an updated one. No worries. She was still able to fit me in due to a quiet morning. Sat down, within less than 5 mins, Peter greeted me with enthusiasm and was ready to go. The process was so surprisingly simple and convenient that I was so impressed. I showed Peter the damage on my vehicle. He was quick, brief but careful. You could tell he knew what he was doing and wanted to make the process as quick and easy for the customer! He then directed me to rentals which was in the same building at the next desk. Chima (not sure if I spelt right), the Enterprise representative, was funny and friendly. She initially had a bit of trouble locating my information on their system due to a system error. Peter noticed it and was there to make sure she got the right information. Great teamwork! After getting the rental car, I was instructed to remove all my belongings. Throughout this process, Peter kept checking up on me to ensure I was doing okay. Checked out with the rental car. Peter updated me hours later with the time estimate on my vehicle. He provided repair details and everything I needed to know. It really felt reassuring and safe with Peter and Cubbage! All of my concerns of repairing my vehicle at someone else's insurance repair facility was gone. Dropping my vehicle to repairs took 45mins-1 hour, mainly due to me clearing out my car. It was a lot shorter than I expected. Repair was done in 5 days as a paint job was needed. Peter also sent emails asking if I had any concerns or questions. He was basically always there for me to ensure that I was happy and assured. He was also sure to let me know that I did not have to pay anything for the repairs as that was my main worry throughout the process (accident was the other part's fault). Came back for pickup, process was the same , quick and efficient. Only took 30 mins. Peter was there to greet me again, immediately called for my car. Dropped off the rental keys to the Enterprise guy at the next desk. Peter offered me a bottle of cold water while I was standing in the sun, awaiting for my car. (Very impressive customer care from him!). He stayed during this process until I was good to go. My car looked 100x better than it came in looking, even before the accident occurred. It also got a car wash and wax job. It basically looked new! Paint job was very well done as well. I have no complaints but compliments for this place. VERY well managed, with an extremely EFFICIENT system for their customers. If you get Peter Torchia as your damage inspector, rest assured, you are in good hands for sure!!! Went for a check up on a scratch to see how bad the damage was . Management comes out and checks the car . Completely honest with me, told me is was something that can be buffed off. This is the 3rd time they've taken care of my vehicle. Very prompt and all 3 times I was completely satisfied with the work they did. Most importantly their honesty . I was told my car was ready and came to Cubbage 4 separate times only to find issues with the quality of the craftsmanship that they said had to be reworked over several days (each time). They kept my car so long, there was $300 my insurance refused to pay on my rental car. I tried to get Cubbage to cover the additional cost they caused my to incur but they refused. I will never come back and I would caution anyone else - the quality of work is very poor and reworking leaves you god long periods without your car. read more

Updated review (11/7/13): I brought my car in here after I got hit one rainy Houston night, based on my previous good experience. I can't complain about the quality of the work and I liked that they first offered aftermarket/used parts at reasonable prices when I asked about additional work. But the service isn't quite what it used to be. I don't see Drew there any more, and communication was poor throughout my repairs. I had to call several times to get an estimate or an update on my car's status, and several times call backs were promised that never came. A gentleman who appeared to be an owner or manager (I hadn't recognized from before) tried to tell me to change insurance carriers when I explained that pursuing another repair would probably cause my premiums to increase. Come on, guy. I like dealing with people who demonstrate they get your needs and understand your situation, not people who keep the sale pitch up no matter what, regardless of how gentle. Bottom line: Now this shop is just a "fine" place to have your car fixed up. Previous review (5 stars): I can't recommend this place highly enough. I ended up having to file a couple of insurance claims on my car, for the engine and for the bumper. I took it to a mechanic for the engine trouble, but for the body work I ignored the place my mechanic recommended and took it here due to the high Yelp reviews. I understand this shop is somehow affiliated with Geico, but I had a different insurance company and I still got top-notch service. I brought the car in with the estimate and reviewed it with Drew, who I worked with throughout the entire time they took care of my car. He discussed with me ways we could save on the estimate and he ended up lowering my deductible by $200! I was impressed with the quality of the work and was surprised to find that they had even taken the time to give my car a vacuum. It turns out that shortly after all the repairs had been completed, my "check engine" light came on. Frustrated, I contacted my mechanic and asked if I could take in the car. They agreed to look at it, but if they determined that the cause of the light was not due to their repairs, they would charge a $120 "engine diagnostic" fee. I was afraid they would try to pin whatever the issue was on Cubbage since they had last handled the car, so I asked Drew if they would take a look at it. They did it for free, and determined that the issue was a damaged O2 sensor that was swapped out from my old engine. I was fed up with the mechanic at this point and had Cubbage replace the sensor, and they took care of it quickly and efficiently, even though they had not originally worked with that claim. I have since had another "check engine" light and Cubbage has again looked at it for free and determined the problem. When I needed shuttle service after dropping off the car, Drew got in his pickup and drove me there himself. Bottom line, this place has the kind of customer service you image that everyone had in the 50s or whatever. Very personal, very friendly, very honest. Great place. read more

I'm so impressed! These guys are wonderfully helpful and honest. At other places, mechanics have "seen me coming" as a 20-something female and overcharged or oversold me. Not these guys. They tell me what is necessary and what is not, and only charge for what they absolutely have to (and have thrown in free nuts and bolts, where others have nickled and dimed me for each one used). I've been there twice for little things, and they didn't even charge me. Both times, they fit me in last minute, and service was prompt. The waiting room is clean and comfortable, and I always feel that my time is respected. I will continue to trust these guys with my car. Especially if you have Geico (they're on the preferred list), come here first with your repair needs...they'll take good care of you. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I hope my experience deters you from coming to this place for any type of business. I got into a rather big accident where my insurance company had to tow my car to this place for repair. The repair took more than 2 months, and the total repair fee came out to be about 25% more than the price of a brand new car. I didn't have to pay for it since it was the other driver's fault, but the entire experience was just a nightmare. Here are just some of the other things that made the experience worse: 1) When I got my car back, the alignment was so off that my handle was tilted about 30 degrees to the left when my car was going straight. This type of misalignment not only ruins your tires but is just simply unprofessional. 2) I started calling this place every week to see how the repair process was going. After a month of not hearing anything substantial, I went to go see the car myself and found it sitting in the lot with no signs of work being done. 3) After about 2 months, I called the other driver's insurance company and started renting a car so that they will start bugging this place to get my car fixed faster. After a few days, they said the car was ready and that I can pick it up the next day. I go in the next day and they say that they never made that call and that it must've been someone's mistake, and that my car is not ready. I made the trip for nothing. 4) When I got my car back, not only was the alignment totally off, but there was a huge crack in the backseat compartment where the passenger seat belts come out. I had to have it duck-taped so the parts will not shake when I drive. Knowing a reliable auto repair shop makes your life so much easier. If you want that kind of experience, please stay away from this business. I felt like I was being cheated and deceived throughout the entire process, and having that feeling after going through a huge car accident really doesn't help. I don't live in Houston anymore but I just want this experience to be shared so that others can avoid the hassle I had to go through. read more

I brought my BMW to Cubbage to have it repainted and when they reinstalled the passenger side tail light after painting it they did not replace it correctly and flooded my trunk compartment - on a BMW that's a HUGE issue as the battery and other electrical components are in the truck and sidewalls. This issue caused over $1000 in damages to my car's electrical components - and here's the interesting part. They denied they had done anything wrong and were not going to pay for anything. That my shorted out components and light on the dashboard were what, there when I took my car in? Because it is a GEICO affiliated shop my GEICO agent seemed to be on their side saying I would have to PROVE that the damage was done while they had it!!!!!!!!!! Once BMW did the water test and was able to prove it was from the tailight (and there was composite all around the light because they remove them when they paint duh!) they finally gave up and agreed to pay. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that they immediately said it wasn't their fault. Lonnie even told me he tried to reset the indicator/dashboard light when he brought the car around. I assumed it was from low tires, but it was not, it was from the water in my trunk shorting out electrical components. It took 8 days for this process of denying they caused the problem to getting my car repaired and returned. I will NEVER do business with this company again and would not refer my worst enemy. If they make a mistake on your car they will immediately deny it then make you jump through hoops to get it repaired. I mean really, I loosened the tailight and poured water into my trunk at their lot while they weren't looking??? read more

I drive a 2007 Pontiac G6 which was just rear-ended by a Chevy Silverado while I was in traffic on the freeway. After repairs to the body, I got it back and it has a strong vibration and noise that wasn't there before and it is sluggish when accelerating or going up inclines. Cubbage and Geico insurance company says this is because of a motor mount which wouldn't have been caused by the rear-end collision, but I KNOW the noise, vibration and sluggish acceleration weren't there before. read more

After my car was hit by another driver, I was sent here through Geico, their insurance, for repairs. I read reviews first, and was dreading the negative experience others seemed to have. My experience was fantastic, though. Both drop off and pick up were exceptionally quick, and I received the promised text messages all throughout. I was referred to Cubbage Collision by Geico as a one-stop shop to handle repairs on my car and get a rental vehicle after mine was vandalized (damaged hood). Before I could even get outside of my car, Pet (Geico rep) meet me outside to go over what needed to be fixed with my car. The whole experience was very easy and efficient. Once they were set up to begin fixing my car, the staff at Enterprise was very helpful getting me set up with a great rental car. Whole experience took less than 45 minutes. Four days later, I was notified that my car was ready and was incredibly pleased with the work they did.
