The penne vodka was perfectly al dente (not an easy feat for two trays of pasta!), the chicken parm was juicy, tender, and perfectly portioned, and their marinara sauce passed the test of several Italian grandmas! FYI, I don't even like sausage and peppers - I just get it because it's a crowd pleaser- and I LOVED this one. Phenomenal service as well. We are hooked!

Sweet warm apples with the crumbs on top is such a great combination. Lemon bar and brownie were good. Def a great restaurant at the neighborhood!

Rolling pins have been must-have equipment in kitchens ever since people started baking with flour…read more It is such a simple tool that is a long, thin cylinder used to flatten dough into sheets by rolling it out on a wooden or marble board. It has two handles on the side, making it easier to use. It can be made of wood or plastic. Located across from the train station, we decided on a celebratory meal at this popular spot for brunch/lunch in Westwood. A reservation was made for a party of 7 via Yelp. Upon arrival inside this cozy interior featuring retro decorations filled with rolling pins from ages past with several tables, we were greeted by the staff and checked in at The Rolling Pin Cafe. We were directed next door to their annex building, where it was warm and homey but with more seating. We were once more greeted by the staff and managed to get a table by the window. Their menu contains classic comfort foods for breakfast and lunch with specials rotating weekly. My partner, our friends, and I decided on the Pin Platter, Chicken Salad Sandwich, NJ Sloppy Joe Sandwich, Pesto Turkey Sandwich, Chocolate Chip Pancakes with Strawberries, Avocado Toast Platter, and 1/2 Smoked Turkey Sandwich with Mac & Cheese. The sandwiches accompanied their house-made sweet potato salad. Everything continues to be made on-site, so it's remained fresh and has that genuine homemade taste with wonderful flavors, which is hard to find these days. Portions were generous, and the price was reasonable. The owner, Jeff, is such a nice guy who sent over some complimentary desserts to sample: lemon bars, cheesecakes, brownies, and apple cobbler with vanilla & chocolate ice cream. The server Johanna was friendly and accommodating. This place never disappoints...

Burgers, Hot Dogs, killer Chicken Nuggets, Onion Rings, Fries and Hot Pretzels- all served with the proper condiments and sauces. Everything was fresh, delicious and well received. At the end they cooked off enough food to feed 60 people all over again! We noshed all night and still had plenty of leftovers. Eighty Twenty 32 Westwood Ave…read more Westwood, NJ 07675 The Smasher Onion Rings What once started as a pop up has now revolutionized into a full scale burger restaurant. The smasher: This signature menu item has all beef patty with a 80% to 20% beef-to-fat ratio, hence the restaurant name. It was topped with caramelized Vidalia onions, American cheese, and topped with their homemade Mandy sauce. The quality and taste was more than superior. I especially enjoyed the Mandy sauce which is a savory combination of ketchup, mayo, honey mustard and barbecue sauce. (The combination of all these sauces may seem overzealous, but it was actually a perfect concoction.) The minor drawback is that the size of the burger is on the smaller side, which accounts for its cost effective price. Onion Rings: These gigantic beer-bartered rings were piping hot and crispy on the outside while soft and oniony on the inside. A cup of Mandy sauce is also included. Ironically, the cost of the side actually is slightly more than the burger itself. All menu items are sold à la carte. There is an up charge if you request any additional specialty sauces with your meal. However, complimentary ketchup, horse radish sauce, hot sauce and many other condiments are complimentary. If you do not wish to buy any beverages, a free water cooler is available. Everything is freshly made to order so expect a wait, but it is definitely worth it. For the most part, this was a positive dining experience and I am happy to see a local pop-up transform into a permanent restaurant. #eightytwenty #smasher #eightytwentywestwood #mandysauce

Westwood Prime Meats 190 Westwood Ave…read more Westwood, NJ 07675 Brewery burger The interior is set up in two sections; a deli for placing to-go orders and a sit down restaurant. There are multiple seats in the dining area. There is a unique procedure when ordering the burger. A customer may select one of three blends: steak blend, SSB (short rib, sirloin, & brisket), and dry aged. I selected steak blend, which was 80% beef and 20% fat. At first, I was filled with concern as I observed the specialty burger. The burger itself looked like it was sliding apart. The bun did not have any physical resemblance to a pretzel as it looked like an ordinary bun. As always, never judge a book by its cover. I took a single bite and my taste buds were in paradise. The burger was cooked medium and topped with butcher cut bacon and IPA beer cheese sauce. The thick slab of bacon strips were chewy and they melted right in my mouth. The beer cheese was so mouthwatering that I requested an additional cup. The pretzel bun may look like a regular hamburger bun, it has the texture and taste of a pretzel; it is even sprinkled with a dash of rock salt. As a bonus, a full size pitcher of water and crispy fries with a smokehouse dipping sauce are all included with the burger. Both the burger and fries can be dipping in both the smokehouse sauce and cheese sauce. These sauces are the backbone to the burger and you won't even consider supplementing anything else. Although the initial appearance didn't catch my eye, they had me by taste and that is what matters in the end! #westwoodprimemeats #breweryburger #westwoodnj
