I put in a take out order here for lunch. I was happy to see they offered wide range of dishes, including sandwiches, soups, salads, empanadas, chicken/beef/pork dishes with rice and beans sizes. The dishes came in lunch and dinner portion sizes. They also had flan and rice pudding, two of my favorite desserts. Upon arriving, easily found parking in front of the store. The restaurant is relatively small, couple of tables, lots of boxes around, not really a dine-in spot, mostly good for take outs. It was pretty busy, few customers were in line. Upon my turn, I asked them about my order, and they handed it over to me right away. Was happy to see the order was ready at promised time despite the rush. Among the food, loved the beef empanada, was the best item for me. It had ground beef inside, delicious taste. But I didn't the chicken empanada as much. The chicken was shredded and bland. The grilled basa fish was good, two filet cooked well, that came with some lettuce. The chicken lunch platter was surprisingly a big platter, came with 2 pieces of huge chicken leg and potatoes. After trying this place multiple times, it has been a miss for me. The lunch special is 3 peices of chicken over rice, sometimes it comes with maduros, sometimes with beans, sometimes both. But everytime the chicken has been dry. Hot, but dry. The seasoning was also bland, both on the chicken and the beans. There was flavor, but it was more like a hint of flavoring. The empanadas I also found to be a bit too oily. One can argue that they are fried in oil, but I've also had fresh out of the frier emapandas that were the right crispness that did not also create a pool of oil when biting into it. Service was also slow. The workers were very busy with orders, which is great, it means the place is busy, popular, and has returning customers. But it takes a while to order in person, and then a while to recieve the already prepared food. Luckily there is a number of tables in the shop to wait for your food in the dining area. And while I'm ok with waiting for good food, it's tough to wait for food that is just mildly ok. I hope to try Cuban Eddie's again in the future, but for now it is not a "go to" spot to fill that crave or fix. read more

The shredded beef was rich and filled with flavor. If you are looking for a fried version of beef, you won't go wrong with the vaca frita. The edges were crispy and the inside of the meat was tender. Stick your fork in a plate of roast succulent pork. If you want to add a spicy kick, hot sauce will do the trick. One of my personal favorites were the spare ribs. These dry rub pork ribs fell right off the bone. They were seasoned so well you there was no need for barbecue sauce. For those of you who are craving a sweet tooth, the Oreo & Cream empanada is quite satisfying. It is filled with crushed Oreo cookies and vanilla cream. This is a perfect spot if you are looking for take out at reasonable prices. After a long hiatus from Cuban Eddie's, I returned and ordered dinner portions for the first time. Went with the roasted chicken and picadillo. For dinner you get separate tins for your meal, one for meat and one for rice, and a paper coffee cup of beans. Seems like the portion is probably close to twice the amount you get for lunch for not quite twice the price. Food was still tasty, just like abuelita would make at home. I did miss the maduros that are always included with a lunch portion. Don't know if it was an oversight on their part, or they just don't give them to you for dinner. Still a great spot for down home Cuban cooking. I look forward to going back for lunch next time. read more

Used to be a hit but we picked up the pernil dinner and the Cuban sandwich and it was pretty awful unfortunately. The meat had virtually no seasoning whatsoever so it really just tasted like pork. It wasn't tender the way pernil should be either. The sandwich was lacking flavor too but that's mostly because the pernil is not good. Won't return and it's a shame because they were fantastic when they opened years ago. read more

I have ordered from here a number of times and was never disappointed. The price is great and they give a lot of food. The staffs are friendly and service is quick. The restaurant is small with only a few tables to dine in so I always have it as take out. I will definitely return in the near future. read more

This is where ALL other empanadas will be measured! Not only are they the least expensive ($1.99 as of this writing) they are absolutely delicious! No weird things like apples and raisins in them...just the goods! They have some other great items, such as a Cuban sandwich. Great portion, fair priced, and will fill your belly. Really really disappointed with my take home order. Roast pork hero with extra cheese and maduros. No cheese whatsoever, and ONE maduro! This was basically a few strands of pork on a hero roll. I have ordered from Cuban Eddie's before and have never seen such little food for $11.32! AND I waited 15 minutes over the 20 they said it would be ready. I ordered delivery via Yelp. 5 stars for allowing me to order via yelp (grub hub) delivery was super quick and they left the food outside as requested. Delivery person knocked to inform us He had arrived. All was packaged perfectly and nothing spilled at all. Food arrived nice and warm. Plátano maduros were great and delicious. These are usually hit or miss depending on the ripeness-we got lucky. Beef stew was just Ok for me but the serving was great and the beef was tender. The sauce didn't wow me. To be honest. Beans both red and black were a bit on the watery side but taste was pretty good for both. The pork was not as shredded not as tender As I like, however, the taste was very good! They seasoning was actually perfect. I could taste the garlic in every bite yet not too salty-it really had a good taste. The Cuban sandwich had a good taste as well. Next time I may order a few for lunch. I ordered the pepper steak which was VERY good. The beef strips were well cooked, tender and had lots of onions and peppers that were all seasoned pretty well. OK I'm going to admit, I passed this place all the time and honestly never really gave it a chance because it didn't have any seating on the inside of the restaurant. But, a fellow foodie INSISTED i try this place so i gave it a shot! i ordered the shredded beef because I thought that would be a safe bet for sure even if it ended up being just average; I was blown away! The beef was so delicious and tender and it was stew just the way my grandmother used to make, I ordered a side of tostones with yellow rice and red beans. Let me start off by saying the food is pretty good. It's got that home cooked tastes and look to it. That might throw some people off but I like that kind of food. Way better than Chipotle or stuff like that. The oreo Empanada is dumb crazy. You should get that every time. Again, the food is the goat! But I can't get with someone that just ignores a customers request. If you can't do it... let me know - I understand, I'll order something else from your menu. But it seems, at there best, they just ignored me or at the worst - said FU to the customer, your boy can't get down with that. Pretty okay, staff was welcoming and food was cheaply priced. We bought the ropa vieja with black beans and white rice as well as the chicken drumsticks with black beans and white rice. Compared to every other Cuban restaurant I've eaten from or have taken food out from. Rice and beans had barely any salt whatsoever on it (both plates) and chicken looked orange/red. Shredded beef from the ropa was not really as tender as it should've been. The saving grace of our take out order were the three empanadas we had (beef, cheese, guava). I heard many good things about this place and decided to give it a try. My daughter got a chicken burrito and I got a couple of empanadas. Let me just say that empanadas are to die for!! They have a huge variety to choose from, even dessert ones but I haven't tried those. I saved that for next time. Now, the chicken burrito was yummy but there was something sweet inside, not sure what it was. My daughter refused to eat it once she got to the sweet part. I wish I knew what it was so I could ask them that to put in next time. I will def be back to try every empanada on their menu! read more

Love, love, LOVE Cuban Eddie's! The food is genuinely made with care and is so yummy, BUT I can only speak to what we've ordered. The Ropa Vieja = perfection. Empanadas are fresh and so good, great for the price. Cuban Sandwich is the best my partner has ever had, he says. Burritos are always stuffed full and fresh. I did have an issue once, I had asked for no maduros but they did include them. I let them know (nicely) and they made good - the owner truly cares about his business. This place has great reviews which led us here. Pictures are great too. It's a small place, tables, tv, soda fridge, counter and the cooks & cooking behind it. For starters, cashier today, she was not pleasant. Usually you greet customers, smile, etc. None of that here. She takes your order and answers any questions. But completely out of touch and didn't know the full menu. Ok, maybe she's new. No biggie. There's a lady handling food and serves it (you have to pick up your food when she calls what you order, weird to me since it wasn't to go, but ok) This woman does not crack a smile, not friendly. Ok, not her day. Whatever. The food. My empanada was greasy, dripping grease. I ordered two. One was edible. Besides the grease, it was tasty. Chicken soup is a classic style, was good. Ropa Vieja (shredded beef) with white rice and black beans, maduros was good. Tender meat, flavor was on point. Pernil with black rice, maduros was NOT. It's not pernil, it's pork loin they shred. Pork loin is a dryer meat, you can't serve it as pernil. The two are not the same. The rice was par broiled and completely tasted like cardboard. Yes, some restaurants use it, but you have to flavor it. This dish was not. Drinks: typical fridge with assorted drinks, but not properly stocked today. Since I can only write about what I purchased, this is it. Their prices are definitely affordable, all of the above was about $26. Won't return. Bummer. read more

I've been ordering here for half a decade and always loved their food. Price is great. Good food. Recently, about 3 weeks ago, I had my last meal from there. I saw lots of mice at this place. One was under the fridge. One was burrowing into a hole inside one of the sacks of rice or potatoes. And one was by the back wall.
