We were going to an event at moody center and stopped by to grab quick bite before the show. The beef cheek was on the saltier side. The brisket taco was good and average. I wouldn't drive for this place but if you are alley d and want quick small bite for $2.75 a taco then give them a try. There was plenty of seating in the food park area and they were very quick to get our order ready.

Delicious street tacos! There's a good amount of seating outside and there's other food trucks around too. It didn't take too long to come out, maybe 10 minutes? The beef cheek taco (cachete) was incredible. I would honestly return to get four more cachete tacos.

These tacos are really tasty and even better the salsa was amazing. One could easily get one of each taco to try them all because they are pretty small. Making them costra style to add cheese for 50c is a nice touch too. The picnic seating kinda leaves a lot to be desired, my table was very broken. Staff is friendly and helpful in the truck!

For authentic street tacos you may find equals in this world but I am quite confident in saying you won't find better. Every meat filling I tried was outstanding as was the fresh accompaniments and salsas.

Best tacos ever! We went here since it was on the MIchelin list. First, parking was hard to find since it is a small parking lot for a set of food trucks. They only had outdoor seating which can be tough if it's the middle of summer but absolutely the best Austin vibes. When we arrived there, there was a line but it went by so fast.

These might be my favorite tacos in Austin! I've had them a couple times now and they just hit. The suadero and carnitas are my favorite. They are 2-3 bites each, but also a few bucks each, so I recommend 4-5 tacos per person. The salsas are everything, don't miss out on them!!

My first time ever trying Michelin star tacos! Suedero tacos and they were amazing! Juicy, tender, and with a squeeze of lime and salsa (red plus green) it was perfect! Like your girl can eat tacos but I had never been one to be like let's go get some cause I am craving them. But man cuantos tacos can definitely get me saying I want and crave them! I thought prices were pretty fair at 2.75 a piece. After much researchon what to eat in Austin this is one of the spots that I saved as a bookmark. While I was in Austin, a foodie friend on Instagram shared with me her list of recommendations since she just moved to Austin not too long ago. I knew that Ihad to stop by Cuantos Tacos, I mean how often do you see a Michelin BibGourmand taco truck. We came here for dinner but it was cold, sprinkling, anddark out. Tables they had were wet from the sprinkle.  My family only triedthe suadero taco ($2.75 per taco) but OMG it was the best thing we ate duringour trip in Austin. It was super memorable, the meat was soft and the salsaadded the perfect kick to it. It's been a month, my husband and I are still daydreamingabout these tacos.  Tacos are madepretty fast, we had to order tacos 3x since they were so good, we kept wantingmore. Wait time was super reasonable. Staff are nice and if I lived closer Ican see myself coming here every taco Tuesday! This definitely is a must go tospot if you like tacos.   Tips: *Small parking lot *Outdoor seating only *Credit card accepted *Porta Potty in theback (night time it is pretty dark and hard to see) *They cater. *You can also orderonline for pick up. Tips: Credit card and cash accepted. Outdoor seating option only. Restroom is port a potties. Located in an area with other food trucks.

Not much else to say...amazing tacos which attracts everyone. Small tacos...so order a minimum of five to have a true meal!

Located in an unassuming food truck park in Austin, Cuantos Tacos ended up being the absolute highlight of our trip. These tacos are seriously next level. Every bite felt over the top delicious, and we kept eating until our stomachs hurt... totally worth it! The staff were extremely friendly, and everything was made fresh to order, which you can really taste. It is honestly hard to find tacos this good, and the hype makes complete sense once you try them. Do not skip the green salsa! It is the perfect pairing and takes the tacos to another level. I would also highly recommend getting a quesadilla. It is just as incredible and definitely worth adding to your order. If you love tacos, Cuantos Tacos is a must-visit in Austin! This is the kind of place you think about long after the trip is over.

I've been coming to Cuantos since before its Michelin recommendation and unfortunately the quality has dipped a bit. I feel that their meat doesn't taste as seasoned but this place is still amazing and should be on any tourist's list. I always get the pastor tacos and a quesadilla. The salsa pairs so well as it adds the needed spicy kick.

Cuantos Tacos is a true gem and especially rewarding for those of us who would rather have a few bites of something extraordinarily delicious to a heftier portion of forgettably mediocre food. After trying two Mexican City-style tacos--the Suadero (brisket, onion & cilantro) and the Champinones (Grilled mushrooms in Salsa Adobo, onion & cilantro), both on Nixtamal tortillas--it seemed a good idea to return sooner rather than later simply because these tacos were that good: delectably seasoned, served with fresh lime plus green salsa, and securely wrapped to go. Service was straightforward, friendly, and fast. On the minus side: the food truck tables were grimy and dotted with bird droppings and the parking area was rocky/not very accessible, detracting from the area's overall ambience though not surprising for anyone familiar with Austin's food truck dining experiences.

    Sunny C.

The tacos here were pretty good but also kind of tiny. I ordered the 6 to try each one and could have had more through the hungry night. So might be advisable to get more. Or perfect for a light snack. The seating here is not so great. Almost every table is really dirty and full of bird poo and nor will kept. Some over head tarps would have maintained the area better. Which this will make me think twice before wanting to eat in this food truck area. Since there are other things in the area also.

Tried all 6 various tacos on menu

Our first visit to this food truck on 12th street. Ample parking for maybe 20-25 cars and limited street parking with a few other food trucks including Thai. There are several picnic tables in the center so bring some wipes for tables, benches and hands. We all tried the six taco plate. They are street sized tacos with 2 corn tortillas. I wasn't a fan of some that were salty, or not very flavorful in my opinion. The salsas were very tasty with a kick. After driving 25 miles one way, I'm not sure I'd come back.

During that time, it has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in all of Austin. I absolutely love the food and the rooftop patio that overlooks downtown/the park, and it will forever be somewhere I continue to go, especially during happy hour. I have tried every vegetarian item on their menu, and while everything is great, my personal favorites are: - cheese enchiladas with mole verde (I get this 99% of the time because they are my favorite enchilada in town) - the chile rellano (it's listed in the sides, but I promise you that it can be a meal in itself) - their rice (comes with many of their plates or inside of their enchiladas) is actually soooooo good and one of the things I look forward to - queso (nothing different about it, but it's just a really good standard queso) - flaquita (spicy watermelon margarita; I don't need to say more) - sangria blanca (super refreshing) Up until a few months ago, I would have given this place five stars, but I've noticed a decline in service that is making me knock it down to a four. For example, they used to give free chips and salsa the second you sat down, but the last three times, I've had to ask them for it (pro tip: ask for chips and salsa!!). I've also noticed slower and less attentive service. Overall, I still love El Alma, and when it comes to food and vibes, it has withstood the test of time. Everyone I introduce to El Alma falls in love (my sister visits me once a year, and El Alma is always on the agenda). Not only have I been coming here multiple times a year for the past five years, but I know I will be coming for as long as they are around.

We walked from the hotel and ended up eating here twice! I had the extra cheesy volcan tacos they were so good I could smell how they tasted when I walked in. The carve asada was a little salty but it didn't stop me from devouring them! If you come in down the alley like we did you'll walk through what looks to be a little bar area walk-through there and then follow the signs to find the tacos. There were some people walking in with small children as we were walking out and they looked confused walking into the bar and I showed them just keep going you'll find the tacos and then they laughed. Everyone inside was nice and very friendly they run a super efficient operation and it's very clean. Soon as someone gets up somebody cleans the table because somebody's already waiting for a table. We weren't even fully through day #2 and were already sick of BBQ. He broke the seal first and suggested Mexican. I found Taqueria De Diez in my bookmarks, and dinner plans were set. This was one of those meals where I was walking out with a pep in my step because I got exactly what I needed. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla + two tacos: Campechana and adobada. I don't even know what my favorite thing was. They were all excellent. The only slight miss were the beans, which were kind of oddly watery. But everything else was perfect, including the jamaica agua fresca. I ended up returning the next night and ordered a carne asada burrito. I didn't love it quite as much, but this is still an easy 5-star review for me. Note: this is not the easiest place to find. You literally have to walk in between some big, orange road blockers (is that what you call them?), to enter an alley. You then walk into a small bar, and then from there, you enter the actual restaurant. It's like a taco speakeasy, and it's glorious.

Parking can also be a bit of a struggle since they have a pretty small lot. I had to make a few laps before I finally found a spot, so definitely give yourself a little extra time. They do offer valet, and I believe you may also be able to park in the lot next door after hours since it's their sister restaurant, but don't quote me on that haha. Their margaritas are also really good and definitely on the stronger side, so they were a great way to start the meal. The staff here was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. They even walked us to our table and later showed me where the bathroom was, which I thought was a really nice touch. As for the food, it definitely lives up to the hype. It's on the pricier side, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and was well worth it. We ordered the enchiladas, which were delicious, and the shrimp was probably my favorite part of the meal because it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I can definitely see why this restaurant has been around for so long and has such a loyal following. It took me way too long to finally come here, but I'll definitely be back. One thing I'm noticing as we do these is that you often write reviews that are genuinely useful--not just "food good/bad." You include things like reservations, parking, what to order, or where to sit. I think we should keep leaning into that because it feels very authentic to your style and makes your reviews stand out.
