I had a great experience with CTX Home Gyms from start to finish. I visited their warehouse to look at ellipticals, and Hannah was extremely knowledgeable and genuinely focused on helping me find the right machine rather than upselling. Based on her advice, I chose a refurbished Precor EFX 835 with a P30 console. It is a simple, solid machine and exactly what I was looking for. After the purchase, the CTX team communicated clearly throughout the refurbishment process and even shared a testing report and photos once it was complete. Delivery was smooth and professional despite icy conditions, and the crew handled everything, including moving and setting up the machine upstairs, with care -- they were truly amazing. I am compelled to share my experience working with CTX Home Gyms as both a customer and a fellow gym owner, and unfortunately, it has been deeply disappointing. From the beginning, what should have been a straightforward equipment purchase turned into an unnecessarily difficult and exhausting process. I purchased an adductor/abductor machine in Oct 2025. It got delivered until December 2025. From the start it did not work properly. I contacted them right away and there response was that it was their first time carrying that brand and that they mislabel it, it is not a commercial use but home use and joke that "there is nothing wrong with the machine your girls are just too strong for it" they offer to give me "10% off" to replace it to a new one with a 300lb plate stack. Communication was inconsistent through the new order I had to keep texting for updates.  expectations were not clearly managed, and basic professional courtesy often felt absent. I get my machine in, and I noticed that it is not 300lb plate weight stack I mention to them and they give me the excuse that "their workers mislabel the machine" if I didn't mention it they were not going to say anything! Even if they mislabel it I am still short with the 300 lb weight stack. Their excuse to that was "we put in a request for the 300 lb weight stack but it was not accepted and the listed has not been updated- that's on us "  As someone who understands the importance of reliability, respect, and transparency in business relationships especially within the fitness industry I found the way this situation was handled to be outright disrespectful. The way they responded, their excuses, the lack of accountability and the repeated friction in resolving even simple matters created an experience that felt far more burdensome than it ever should have been. I approached this transaction in good faith, expecting a level of professionalism that aligns with the standards I hold in my own business, and instead walked away feeling frustrated and worn down. The  the owner Dillion texted me as I sent a very long frustrated text message "wanting to help" but instead created more excuses and is still selling incorrect description items. His description on the the machines are not accurate, they do not know what they are selling, and they do not care at all if you spend $3,549 which is what I spent and their mess ups they just call it an opsie it's on us but we are just growing and trying our best. It is genuinely disappointing to say that I cannot recommend working with them, as I would not want others to go through a similarly avoidable experience. Unfortunately, I have to give a business a 1 star rating. Their refurbished equipment arrived in terrible condition. Regardless of the description stating it would be in like new condition...it wasn't even close. It looked like they pulled it off the street after it was sitting for years in the rain and blasted it with cheap paint. The company refused to take responsibility, placing the fault on the customer. Communication was unresponsive regarding the product. A simple refund would have taken care of the situation. Now I'm stuck with a piece of equipment I can't use; I'll have to refurbish it myself if I intend to do anything with it. In addition, I've lost a great deal time and money throughout this process. I cannot recommend doing business with the company. read more
