First 5 rounds shot were shaved, sending metal fragments out of the side of the revolver. One sliced open the side of my face, blood was running down to my neck. Another round sent fragments into my hand. Went back to academy the next day. They sent it to Taurus for repair. I will never trust this particular firearm or Taurus again. Was shooting Hornady critical defense ammo.

I feel like for the last few years they have been drifting away from who they are and who they claim to serve, trying to capitalize on fashion trends instead of actual useful tactical clothing. Example, skinny jeans, tight stretchy (tactical) shorts, obnoxious trendy colors etc. There are still a few articles for people that conceal carry, barely. A majority of the shorts for example seem designed to CAUSE a carry gun to "print". If you don't know what that means you shouldn't shop here. One pair of shorts I tried on with a SMALL 380 pistol in a sticky holster actually stuck OUT of the pocket... really.... The only 2 that were worth looking at were the Stryke $80, and the Pro tac $65. Neither were available in my size and or color. I also feel like the price is high, I don't have a "government department" to pay for my clothes, I have to do it myself. But hey, Erica was great!

After a year of trying to get my Aventon Sinch repaired at E-bike shops in Mansfield and Farmers…read moreBranch with no luck or hope, only months of broken promises and aggravation, I found E-Bike Central had opened in Temple. A phone conversation with the owner renewed hope my Sinch might live again. Within minutes of bringing my bike in the door it was surrounded by all four employees diagnosing the problem each of the aforementioned e-bike shops couldn't in months of trying. Within 15 minutes the E-Bike Central team had my Sinch running like new! I won't mention how little they would accept for resurrecting my bike, other than to say I had to resort to tipping each employee $20 to keep my self-respect intact. By the way, E-Bike Central's showroom is like AN E-BIKE WONDERLAND, with dozens of cool models I never knew existed despite hours of e-bike shopping all over cyberspace. These guys are not just golden, but actually renewed my confidence that excellent business-people still exist; they're just few and far between. Suffice to say my 200 mile round-trip to E-Bike Central in Temple was well worth it. I can't thank these guys enough for saving my Sinch that two other e-bike shops FAILED MISERABLY to accomplish, despite $150 out of my pocket, and hundreds of miles in multiple round-trips to the D/FW metroplex.

My garage looks like an Academy warehouse. Jokes aside, this location is top-tier. The store is always immaculate, there's a mountain of easy parking, and the staff are ridiculously helpful--mostly because they've had to watch me wander the aisles questioning my life choices over various gear combinations weekly. Plus, download the app and use their price-matching policy, because they always have the best deals. Five stars. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go see if a new rod will finally make the fish respect me.

The only downside was that there weren't many employees on the sales floor to help customers when needed. Phone calls during normal business hours go to voicemail, but are never returned. Emails regarding technical issues not responded to. Pay $4-5,000 for a pistol -- but you're on your own if there's a problem. Just try to get some help elsewhere. Then there are delays... "You need to contact our company before your order can be processed." There's no accountability when they take your money, but it takes weeks to actually reach someone in their customer service department to resolve the issue. Either they've cut back on staff to the point where this is a "bare-bones" shoestring operation, or they're not really concerned about the impact they have on their customers. This "don't care, don't have to" attitude has to change. It boils down to this: who is serving whom? After having an issue with an order (Dawson Precision charged my credit card, but I was unable to reach the company for technical assistant AND/OR customer service), my credit card company reported they were unable to reach the company and months later, the issue is still unresolved. The internet order is processed by a machine, which determines there's something wrong with the order: WHO KNOWS WHAT? Try reasoning with a machine. The machine doesn't care that your merchandise doesn't function properly, or that your order is delayed months. It doesn't care: it doesn't have to. Being polite, tactful, and diplomatic doesn't seem to work... not sure what does. This much I can report: there have been problems (and delays) in six of nine orders placed with Dawson Precision -- not one of them having anything to do with the item ordered being out of stock or back ordered. Six problems with nine orders: 66.6% of my orders placed online have had lengthy delays. That's a very bad track record. I hope your experience is better than mine.
