Love this place. They have a huge selection of polish, powder, gel! Mandy is the best!

I have had the same treatment, walk in the door and not 1 employee speak or regard me. That only began after 2 visits. I finally figured out why. I only frequent 1 specific tech. They know I'm her customer on sight. I tip for services rendered and tip well. The other ones can't get my money. She handles all my services, no bouncing around from chair to chair. She is professional, pleasant and accommodating. Prices are fine for the services/amenities. I would mention my techs name but wouldn't want the wait for her.....Hahaha. read more

This is a review on the owner and her negative attitude at Crystal Nails on Westheimer. I gave the location, so no one would be confused about the actual nail shop I am writing about. I wrote a review a little while ago commending the nail technician, Mandy on the exemplary job that she does. However, to my dismay the best nail techs are gone and a lot of clients are gone, also. This action is the result of bad customer service by the owner and the sad thing about it, she doesn't think she is WRONG about anything. I have witnessed her disrespect and insulting the clients, as well as the technicians. Please note, this is not the way to run a business, but evidently the owner could care less. Remember, the top techs are gone, so why give away your money? I finally located Mandy and another nail tech. Ladies! If you want to get in touch with Mandy call (703) 901-8398. Don't worry, she'll be glad to hear from you. read more

Staff is rude as hell, my nails broke after a couple of hours and when I went back to get it fixed one of the lady's was acting like she was doing me a favor and I should be soo grateful. Um no! You should be grateful I gave your basic ass business in the first place. I will never ever come back. read more

When did the service start getting so bad? Been coming for over a year the wait is always way too long salon isn't clean and now my nails are chipping in less than a week! Time to find a new salon ASAP! Shitty management too! read more

This place is amazing! $40 for a shellac mani and regular pedi! The ladies worked quickly but I didn't feel rushed. They did an excellent job shaping both my fingers and toenails (some places don't pay as much attention to the toes as I think they should). I loved the hot stones with the pedi. My shellac mani lasted a long time: she asked how many coats I wanted, which I really appreciate because sometimes they put an extra coat on and that just makes it peel more quickly. The pedi hasn't lasted as long as some I've had (it started peeling around week 3), but for the price I'm very happy. Anyway, it's summertime and I'm harder on my feet so maybe that's why. They don't offer wine, but that's ok since prices are so amazing and the work is quality. I'm not there to wine and dine! As far as options go they have tons of choices and extras. I'm pretty boring so I only ever do shellac, but if you're looking for the latest and greatest at a price that CANNOT be beaten, try Crystal's! read more

I walked in and sat at the front waiting room for about 10 min. They took me to a booth and made me wait an additional 40 min. When I proceeded to leave because the wait was to long, the woman at the front and as if it was my fault. "Well, you didn't say anything." She proceeded to tell me that people can wait in excess of two hours. she continued to try and blame it on me. Mean employees. Horrible Hobbit hole of a place. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would because this place is pure shit.. The manager is awful & disrespectful. I called to make an appointment and she hung up on me TWICE. I had to drive there & make the appointment for later that day. I made an appointment for two people & when I got there she only took in my mom & not me. She had me wait over an hour even after I made an appointment but she took over 5 other people and I was STILL waiting. They messed up my moms nails, to the point that the color wasn't even what she asked (French tip pink & white) and there was no type of pink whatsoever & there was bubbles all over the nails & they claimed my mother had fungus on her nails & that's why they looked the way they did which was a total lie bc my mother doesn't have fungus. They refused to fix her nails & offered to just do a solid color to cover up. I refused the offer bc my mom wanted what she asked for. I told them I wasn't going to pay if they didn't fix her nails & they started shouting at me and took a picture of me & said they would call the cops if I didn't pay but they didn't care enough to even fix her nails & then they want to LIE TO MY FACE and say my mom has fungus!! They literally even chased me to my car. This place is beyond awful, the manager is even worse. She doesn't care about her clientele only her money. read more

Typically, I get Nexgen (dipping powder), but, since the last application, my nails have been weak and brittle. Not from the area, I used my Yelp app to locate a nail salon for a basic manicure. When I entered, there were seven nail technicians working on three (other) customers. I asked for a manicure. About three minutes passed before one of the nail techs came to ask me if I wanted shellac, gel, or a pedicure and I repeated myself saying I just needed a basic manicure with a clear nail polish finish. She pointed at a chair. So, I sat down. She brought me a plastic bowl with very cold water and pointed at it. She "pushed" back my cuticles within 10 seconds and then started to cut them. She located a hangnail and ripped it out. I started bleeding and she just kept trimming and ripping. Finally, she attended to the blood and squirted some rubbing alcohol on it and said "sorry." She rubbed my arms with lotion for less than a minute, then rubbed it off with a hot washcloth. Then, she painted the nails and told me to move to another table for them to dry. She didn't even FILE them. I did not give her a gratuity and left. VERY disappointed in this place. RUDE service. read more

I love this place! A total of $40 for your shellac manicure and pedicure say no more! Amy is my to go girl! She always does a good job on my shellac manicure. I've been coming here for about 3 years and I won't change them. The customer service is good. It's always to make an appointment because they get really busy. read more

I've never been a customer, but have had personnel friends visit here and I have frequented this store, first as security guard, then and currently friend of the business. I know the owner and staff. This is a well operated salon. You cant help, but to see the satisfied patrons going in and out the door. The store is neat clean, simply well kept. I wish other businesses were operated in the same way. Let me add that I don't know, but feel the one star ratings other customer's reviews, with all due respect are unfair. This is truly a 5 star salon, because these kind professionals keep it simple by putting the customer first. read more

Make sure you're a nail technician yourself before coming here to get your nails done. Even after telling the receptionist and the technician what I wanted they proceeded to do what they wanted then had the nerve to tell me that I'll get what I want 'next time'. $70 later I have super chunky orbit gum nails and a crooked Pedicure. Never again. There are better places for the price. read more

I've been here too many times to not give it a review by now. It's like a gem in the city of houston. At least for I get. As a nail tech prior to my job now I am very picky to whom does my nails now. And because of this pickiness i am happy that I found someone who does everything for the best result. I only get their shellac manicure because of my job. Everyone at work ask me where I get mine done and I say it over and over. I go to crystals nails on westhiemer and I ask for ann! She is by far one of best nail tech I go to. And the best part is a shellac manicure is only $20. Ofc you add crazy designs it would be extra. But cmon $20 is a steal! And they do last. I once worn a set for a whole month and it did not peel off til I came back for her to take it off. It's well worth the 20 dollars. So come and ask for ann. She does a great job she's quick friendly efficient and her work is spot on! read more

I originally went to this nail shop because I moved to this side of town and they were cheap and used dip powder. I am familiar with the brand Nexgen dip powder but they use a different brand. Before Crystal's nails I could go 3 weeks with out needing a refill or them breaking on me. Crystals is much closer to where i live now so i thought id try them. I got them done on a Monday by friday I had one completely broken off and two were cracked. I am not heavy on my hands i work in an office so nothing much but typing and handling paper. life got in the way and i was not able to get them fixed until the following Monday. by this time the nail that was cracked had lifted and popped off. I made an appointment to get them fixed but when i showed up it was packed and i had to wait. I told the nail lady that i thought they were too thin. I can feel them bend when doing regular things like typing or picking up simple things. She acted as if i didnt know what i was talking about, they were perfect. when fixing my nails i noticed the ones that were ripped she didnt place any glue on to reassure that they wouldn't break more; which didnt make me feel comfortable. i allowed her to fixed my nails and she didn't make me pay which I appreciated. Tuesday night the following day I went to grab a blanket and the nail she just fixed popped off. I have never seen my nail bleed that bad. Then I get to work today Wednesday and i grab the printer to open and refill the paper and the other nail she fixed popped off and started bleeding too. I waited until the end of the day to call and see if i could get my money back. She told me she spent time doing the nails and that they do not give money back. She suggested me to get acrylic which i specifically went there because they had dip powder. She also tried to make it seem as if im the only person that this has happened to or if i am rough with my hands. i tired to explain that other brands have not done this to me before and she completely disregarded that. After everything i didnt want them to fix my nails i do not have time to go back to the nail shop every other day to get my nails fixed and on top of that ripping a nail down to the point of bleeding constantly isnt ideal. if you get dip powered this is not the place to go. Now i know why they are so cheap and i will not be going back!!! read more

Worst shelac job ever!! It looks terrible. The shelac ends above my nail tip and you can see parts of my nail on the side. The lights they used to dry my shelac hurt my nails during the process. She was not very friendly and laughed in my face while speaking in her language. read more

Crystals is a hit or miss. The best part is the prices. You can't beat $40 for a shellac mani and spa pedi. Some of the techs are decent but they aren't consistent. Be mindful of the times you go because they can get busy. If you come you will need to stay because they lady at the front says you can leave and come back next keep your spot but she never remembers you when you come back. I have seen it many times. You typically have to wait to get a seat at the spa bowl. You also have to search for your own matching colors. They won't do it for you which makes no sense because they should know. Again. It's a hit or miss. Not too much consistency. read more

I've been coming here a little over two years now and they always do a wonderful job! Haley can do anything I like- she is talented!

Bad service and attitude. If you hate your job, quit! Nails are filed brutally and jagged. Never going back and telling all everyone.

I came in on a Friday around 5:30 and there was a 20 minute wait for a pedicure. I didn't time it, but after waiting for what felt like longer than 20 minutes I was about to give up when they called me over. Besides the long wait, which was probably just coming in during a busy time, the pedicure was great! After over two weeks, my toes still look good and I will definately go back, probably at a better time read more

I used to come here ALL the time. I literally got my nails done every month, and I'm not exactly sure what has happened over the years but their customer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! When you make an appointment with your nail technician, you obviously don't expect to be waiting more than 5/10 min past your appointment time; however, these ladies CLEARLY do NOT understand this concept anymore because according to their "new rule" if someone walks in at least 10 min before your appointment time THEY WILL TAKE THEM EVEN IF THE SERVICES THEY'RE REQUESTING WILL TAKE LONGER THAN 30 MIN!!! The first 2 or 3 times this has happened I let it go, but enough is enough. If you are not going to stick to your appointment times then why the hell are you taking appointments to begin with?!??? And when you try to explain this concept to them, they all just start talking louder and over you so you can't even get one word in. These ladies need to understand what actual customer service is because they are EXTREMELY unprofessional and disrespectful to people who have a job and go to school and expect to be serviced at the time they made their appointment!!! read more
