I like coming here. Mai is the greatest! I've had regular polish and gel manicures and they always come out really well.

I came here to get pedis with my friend. I'm Vietnamese and they did not know I was Vietnamese and they talked MAD SHIT! About my friend and I and other ladies that were also in the store. They did a horrible job and they really try to sell more but I was sooo not going for it after all the shit talking. I didn't show my Viet side until I left and the reaction on their faces were priceless. Never coming back to these rude people nor was the service good. read more

Good for nails, bad for waxing. Staff is courteous but if you have a choice to go somewhere else, probably best.

wow. I went in for a quick eyebrow wax. she seemed throughout so I didn't even check her work closely. I tipped 4 dollars assuming I'd be happy with her work. hopped In my car, looked at my eyebrows and I could have done a better job plucking them myself. I already had the basic shape so all she had to do was clean it up. There are so many stray hairs and I don't even have time to go home to repluck. i wish I didn't tip. read more

I've been coming here for over 8 years and i nerver had a bad experience until they change the management . The new manager Amy is really rude and likes to talk trash about costumers in her native language . I am really dissatisfied with the service they provide now. Won't be coming back and don't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I have been going to Crystal Nails for the past 14 years. Over the past year, it came under new management and what a change for the better! I have always enjoyed my nail technician - Amy - who has always been very professional and does a fabulous job (pedicures and nail overlays). But with the new management and the changes to the salon - well, it is now such a wonderful overall experience. All the technicians are very good and the customer service is great. The salon has added top-shelf polishes and gel. Also, the addition of new floral arrangements - which are changed every week - and other niceties, make for a relaxing time. This is absolutely the worst nail salon I have been to. The background to this visit is that I was going with a cousin to get nails done. Both of us had recently relocated to this area so we didn't know any specifics about any nail salons in the area. After reviewing the yelp reviews, calling and checking the price for the services we wanted, and looking at the hours and location of this place we decided this was the best option. I arrived about 5 minutes before my cousin did, and I decided to wait outside the salon for her. While waiting outside a woman walks by me and asks if I want my nails done. I reply to her that I am waiting for someone. She then proceeds to enter the nail salon. A few moments later, as a man from the nail salon is leaving, he tells me to wait inside because it is chilly outside. So I proceed to head towards the open waiting area inside. As soon as I step in the receptionist asks me what I want done. I told her I wanted a manicure only and so did my cousin. She asked me to pick a color and I told her I wanted the shellac gel French tip manicure. She said ok and asked me if I would like a drink? Before I could reply, she pointed towards the first table and indicated for me to sit there. I went there and sat down. The lady at the table next to mine was just sitting there, so I assumed she would be doing my cousin's manicure once she got to the nail salon. The lady who was to do my nails came to my table and asked what color I wanted. I told her I wanted the basic French tip manicure. She gets a bowl of water to soak my first hand in. She talks over my head to the lady at the front desk in a foreign language. Eventually, the lady at the front desk comes over to me and asks "you don't want to get gel? You should get gel it will last longer." I replied "yes I planned on getting gel." Not sure where the miscommunication happened as I had already told her I would be getting shellac gel French tip manicure. She then asks me again, "would you like a drink?" I reply that I would and she goes to the back and gets me a can of Coke, opens it and even includes a straw in it for me. About 5-6 minutes into my manicure, which is when my cousin arrived, the lady has already finished soaking, cutting, and buffing the edges and tops of my nails. She did such a quick job, my cuticles actually hurt because she didn't let them soak longer than about a minute on each hand. I actually jumped a little when she cut the right hand middle finger and index finger. She was not careful at all. I could tell she had cut something deep because when she put the acetone on my fingers, those 2 fingers burned. On the left hand middle finger, she was digging deep into my cuticle to cut something out. Not sure what she was doing. Eventually after getting the first clear layer of gel onto my hands I put them in the UV and when she told me I pulled out the right hand first so she could proceed to the next layer. Immediately she noticed that where she had cut the cuticle on my right. Index finger, I had bled out under the UV light, and the blood had solidified into the gel layer. The lady sitting at the table next to her, gave her something to put on it, but the lady working on my hand said no and proceeded to push down hard on the finger will acetone to scrub off the blood and gel. This was painful but what could I ask for at that point? I didn't want a hand of proper nails with one nail not done. The rest of the manicure she always was one step behind on that nail but kept track of what she had already completed. For the rest of the manicure, the lady who was doing my manicure, the lady next to her, and two gentlemen who either own or work in the store, we're just chatting away and giggling in a foreign language. This is not very professional to me, especially if they are talking all around me, not just two people next to each other. By the time the manicure finished, my cousin finished hers as well, and I got up as she came to the front of the store. I must point out here that although I told the ladies in the store that my cousin is coming in, they chose to place her and me on the 2 end tables on opposite sides, although there was a free lady at the table right next to mine. Although I had told the lady up front that both my cousin and k only want manicures, twice she tried to ask my cousin if she wanted a pedicure as well. In fact she even once said they could do a manicure and a pedicure at the same time. My cousin just tried to be courteous and replied, "no thank you. Maybe next time." Both my cousin's manicure and my manicure were completed in less than 30 minutes. When I went to talk to my cousin after my manicure, and as my cousin was proceeding to get her wallet out, my lady interrupted us and pointed to the cash register and said "go pay there." There was no courtesy of a "please" or "excuse me." There also was no discount for bleeding my hand. Conclusion: we both had cracked cuticles in a day & a bad experience. read more

I will never go there again! I was a regular and went to the same lady everytime (I won't say her name). Today, I went in to get a full set of acrylic nails done for the holidays and to relax before the rush of my family. My experience there was everything but relaxing and pleasurable. I showed my lady a picture of how I wanted my nails, and it didn't happen. I had to keep asking her to fix this and that. When she was holding my finger her nails were digging into a cut I had recently had, and the sander she used was hot and hurting my finger. I kept pulling my hand away, but it happened on every finger. The only thing they got right was the color I picked. Other than that it looks like they glued Chiclets to my nails. I was so furious and upset that I went to my car and cried because of the poor job that was done. I never like complaining, and normally I just deal with it and fix it myself. But after going to a place as a regular and leaving in tears I think its important people know. I still tipped well because I felt bad and it is the holidays, but 45 dollars just went down the drain and I can't even fix the broken nail because they are closed and I am leaving town in the morning. I went here for two months and had the diamond wrap/resin dip. I removed them myself b/c I could see a dark spot under my nail. Removed all by applying cotton balls soaked in appropriate solution. I was SHOCKED on how my natural nails looked after 2 months. All nails had "rings of fire" with two of them drilled through the nail plate (both pinkie fingers). Three nails are lifting from nail bed. Each time I went (every two weeks) she used an electric drill. I felt at the time she may be going too low. I wish I had gone w/ my gut feeling which was the process was incorrect! Since removing these nails and pampering my natural nails (myself) I have read a lot about the proper way to apply nails and maintaining them. I know now everything that was done for those two months at this salon was incorrect! My beautiful natural nails look terrible but I am hoping over time I can get them to look nice. I will not be going back to this salon or any other chop-shop like this. Think twice before going ....read the correct way to have nails applied. Do a Google search on: rings of fire on nails. See what incorrect filing will do. This salon uses electric files and does so incorrectly. Also, all products used on me did not have labels on bottles, instruments were not cleaned before or after customers, tech did not wash her hands before or after customers. If you are experiencing this...walk away! read more
