Their attention to detail and advice on cost savings was amazing. They are always on the job and open to suggestions. If issues or questions came up after the build, Acklin's were quick to respond and help out. If we were to build in Prescott or in a surrounding area we would only use the Acklin Brothers as our builder!!

We couldn't be happier with our choice of the Acklin Brothers to build our dream home in Prescott…read more Our lot was difficult and our house was modern and extremely complicated. We interviewed 11 other builders and we were so grateful we decided to contract with Gary and Glenn during the unpredictable economic times that started almost as soon as our build began. We watched many other homes and builders struggle with severe delays, subs, supplies, and incomplete or inferior results. However, due to Acklins experience, common sense judgment, relationships with sub-contractors, hard work ethics, and expert knowledge, we watched our home translate from architectural plans into a structurally sound and magnificent one-of-a-kind home that was nothing short of spectacular. We can't say enough about Gary, Glenn, and their team, especially Anthony and Marcus, who were there every step of the way. They went above and beyond. The Acklin Brothers team are honest, dependable, and just plain good folks. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

With over 40 years as a real estate broker, I've seen my share of builders and developments. In…read more2023, my family sought a simpler, less regulated lifestyle, moving from California to Capstone's Jasper 3 development in Prescott Valley. We purchased the first home in the 3b section after a straightforward negotiation. The build timeline was impressively fast--so much so that we asked Capstone to delay our move-in to finalize the sale of our California property. Capstone proved professional and responsive throughout. New builds always come with complexities, and ours had a few minor issues. Their customer service team, led by Ciaran, addressed them transparently and promptly, ensuring resolutions fit our schedule. An independent inspector we hired pre-closing confirmed the home's quality, echoing praise we've heard about Capstone and ECCO being top builders in Prescott and Prescott Valley for their energy-efficient, well-designed homes. Some online reviews mention problems, but our experience was smooth and dependable. Capstone's commitment to quality and service earned our trust. I'd recommend them to anyone seeking a reliable, modern home. David and Lynn Woodson

I finally got my house fixed after having gone to the AZ ROC. That is my advice. If customer care…read moredoes not take care of you in a timely manner, file a complaint with the AZ ROC! Even then, it still took Capstone 5 months to fix all my issues. Additional advice would be to record all conversations you have with Capstone employees. We were lied to at every step of the way: Sales (we can make whatever changes you want because we're a custom homebuilder; you can order anything off of the build.com site for your home), Construction (we'll tell the drywall contractor to make the walls as smooth as possible; I think the walls meet the 75% smooth criteria), Customer Care (you know we'll always be here for you). Workmanship had a lot to be desired. Nearly all inside corners were not square. Capstones response was, no problem, we'll just put caulk in there. Gaps between the baseboard and drywall? Caulking will take care of that. I've never seen a house with such wavy walls, or walls that weren't straight vertically. I have some walls that I cannot hang pictures on because the bottom would stick out due to the bulge in the wall. We had areas in the house which were never painted until the walls were smoothed 1.5 years after moving into our home. Capstone's response is that labor was hard to come by during Covid, but we didn't pay over $1M for a house with such shoddy workmanship. I've included some pictures. The dryer vent box opening was a rough cut and the wall was never painted. The box has a 1/2" gap between the box and the drywall. We first reported water leaks under our sliding doors on 7/2023. We were without the use of our master bedroom (3/2024-9/2024) and study (3/2024-10/2024) due to the removal of the flooring in the rooms. After those rooms were completed, Capstone then proceeded to smooth the wall texture in phases: the great room and main hallway; the laundry room & hall bath; middle bedroom & bath; front bedroom & bath. During each phase, furniture was stored in the study, great room, and hallway. We were finally able to use our study at the end of 3/2025. When my 87 y.o. mother came to visit for 3 weeks in 2024, my wife and I had to sleep on couches in separate rooms because our mater bedroom furniture was being stored in the master bathroom. I asked for hardship compensation, I was told that I wouldn't get it because Capstone didn't have a policy regarding hardship. After work was finally finished to my satisfaction in 6/2025, I again requested a hardship payment from the Capstone president who happens to live across the street from me. My request was again denied, but he wanted to emphasize that they would always be here to support us. Nice try Capstone, but your actions mean a lot more than your words. Thankfully, we are surrounded by great neighbors. If it wasn't for them, we would have gone out of our minds.
