This is the most unprofessional inconsiderate company I've ever worked with I have had two homes built prior to this one and have never had problems like I have with this builder. It's like they do your walk-through and then they forget who you are we did a work order on walk though day which was November 19 2016 and still waiting for work to be done. l have had several problems with this house finding nail ran though copper piping and having to deal with the supposedly service manager named Alex what a joke. I am only giving this company one star is because of Shanon.Very frustrated!!!!

I finally got my house fixed after having gone to the AZ ROC. That is my advice. If customer care…read moredoes not take care of you in a timely manner, file a complaint with the AZ ROC! Even then, it still took Capstone 5 months to fix all my issues. Additional advice would be to record all conversations you have with Capstone employees. We were lied to at every step of the way: Sales (we can make whatever changes you want because we're a custom homebuilder; you can order anything off of the build.com site for your home), Construction (we'll tell the drywall contractor to make the walls as smooth as possible; I think the walls meet the 75% smooth criteria), Customer Care (you know we'll always be here for you). Workmanship had a lot to be desired. Nearly all inside corners were not square. Capstones response was, no problem, we'll just put caulk in there. Gaps between the baseboard and drywall? Caulking will take care of that. I've never seen a house with such wavy walls, or walls that weren't straight vertically. I have some walls that I cannot hang pictures on because the bottom would stick out due to the bulge in the wall. We had areas in the house which were never painted until the walls were smoothed 1.5 years after moving into our home. Capstone's response is that labor was hard to come by during Covid, but we didn't pay over $1M for a house with such shoddy workmanship. I've included some pictures. The dryer vent box opening was a rough cut and the wall was never painted. The box has a 1/2" gap between the box and the drywall. We first reported water leaks under our sliding doors on 7/2023. We were without the use of our master bedroom (3/2024-9/2024) and study (3/2024-10/2024) due to the removal of the flooring in the rooms. After those rooms were completed, Capstone then proceeded to smooth the wall texture in phases: the great room and main hallway; the laundry room & hall bath; middle bedroom & bath; front bedroom & bath. During each phase, furniture was stored in the study, great room, and hallway. We were finally able to use our study at the end of 3/2025. When my 87 y.o. mother came to visit for 3 weeks in 2024, my wife and I had to sleep on couches in separate rooms because our mater bedroom furniture was being stored in the master bathroom. I asked for hardship compensation, I was told that I wouldn't get it because Capstone didn't have a policy regarding hardship. After work was finally finished to my satisfaction in 6/2025, I again requested a hardship payment from the Capstone president who happens to live across the street from me. My request was again denied, but he wanted to emphasize that they would always be here to support us. Nice try Capstone, but your actions mean a lot more than your words. Thankfully, we are surrounded by great neighbors. If it wasn't for them, we would have gone out of our minds.

it was just 6 weeks from moving into my new build that I put my home on the market. It was a…read moreliving nightmare. The quality of the construction was a minus 10, They had replaced almost all the windows and still they did not work correctly because they built the home WRONG. The illegals that build these homes with drugged babies in mother's arms so they do not awaken from the blasting music and noise, was beyond belief. There truly was not anything that did not need repair and they could never fix it. Now there is Black Mold due to the horrible construction & plumbing issues. My neighbor moved in and on day one the plumbing burst and now there is black mold not only in her home but on many of the homes and throughout this community. There should be a way to sue Capstone homes and those in the sales office that lie about the homes. DO NOT BUY HERE unless you want a nightmare life. Both of my neighbors have now put their home on the market for less than they paid, just to get the fk out of there. SUE CAPSTONE and the Sales Office for their deliberate fraud. The photo you see here is of a mother with her baby. The baby was clearly drugged so it did not scream in pain from the blasting level 10 noise. Peter at the sales office was notified many times and did nothing.

My recent experience with Patricia Walden of Kooiman Realty was disappointing at best and…read morequestionable business practices on her part at worst. During the process of attempting to purchase our home, Ms. Walden failed the most basic principles of reality ethics and good practice: * She failed to disclose that her client was her relative. *She attempted to get an agreement on earnest money of less than 1/2% of sales price. * She missed the date for requesting buyer repairs, then attempted to use the report to try and re-negotiate the price. * After missing the date for repairs, she worked with her associates in home inspection, banking, and insurance to create a report claiming the home was un-insurable, using false information. * She then used this same information to influence the title company to return the earnest money to the buyers. I am convinced that the process was started by Ms. Walden to drive the potential contract price down and once missing the repair date to kill the sale and return earnest monies to her relative. A real estate transaction can be complicated under the best of circumstances. When one of the parties like Ms. Walden uses whatever means possible to turn it to their advantage, it becomes untenable. I strongly recommend to all buyers to do your due diligence in selecting a realtor, and would not recommend Ms. Walden under any circumstances.
