Athena - Owner, Luxxe Design Studio…read more We have nothing but praise for Athena. Her steady guidance made all the difference as we worked through our bathroom remodel and some kitchen remodel projects. First and foremost, Athena is honest -- both in her opinions and in how she runs her business. That meant a lot to us throughout the remodel. Athena has a wonderful eye for design. She listened carefully to our ideas and then put together thoughtful layouts of materials and finishes so we could see how everything would come together in the space. Athena also handled countless details along the way. We knew we needed her help, but we didn't realize just how much until the project was underway. She measured, ordered materials, helped us select floor and shower tile, lighting, and vanity hardware, and worked through quartz options that complemented the overall design. She also coordinated the fabricator for measurements which helped keep everything moving forward. That said, I'm sure Athena works with clients in whatever capacity they need -- we simply chose to rely on her heavily. Athena is also an excellent communicator -- something I particularly value in any relationship. She was on site when key decisions came up during the remodel and was always responsive to texts and emails whenever questions arose. We always felt confident she would get back to us as soon as she could. Throughout the process, Athena's guidance brought clarity and confidence to decisions that otherwise would have been overwhelming. We recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for a talented and trustworthy designer.

Prescott Kitchens really delivered! Their customer service was outstanding! When we couldn't get…read morea response from other kitchen stores (including the big box stores) after they came and measured, Prescott Kitchens was on the ball. Initially we thought we would paint existing 1980's cabinets and try to match them with something similar to add more. They showed us what they could offer, and were entirely low pressure and patient. David came out to measure and created a design. We worked together to modify it and decided to buy new cabinets we were so thrilled with the design. There was a modification needed and they custom built a wine cabinet. We ordered the cabinets and they arrived as scheduled. The installers said two weeks to demo, take out a wall, drywall and install the cabinets. They completed right on schedule. They also noted a slight flaw in one of the cabinets and replaced it. We are thrilled with the finished product and would not hesitate to recommend Dennis and Sandy McKeown, David the designer and Herb the installer! Bill Gullette Carrie Bida

My advice for anyone looking at Pelleco:…read more 1. During your walk through, check to see if the design ideas are being written down by the contractor. 2. Do not let construction start until you have your approved design plans / drawings in hand and have personally inspected cabinets (and other elements) in-person prior to installation. 3. Check to insure that sub-contractors are licensed. 4. Be aware that YOU need to contact inspectors to inspect the work, Pelleco will not do that for you. 5. Safety items: Tile floors can contain cancer causing materials. You need to ensure your home is ventilated with an industrial fan during demolition. 6. A few other notes: A) Pelleco does not use a dumpster. Your home is the dumpster, until they can pick up the garbage. B) A portable outhouse will not be provided by Pelleco. C) You will have to inspect the work and notify Pelleco if something is done incorrectly or missed completely--there is very little inspection of work completed. D) Floors will not be leveled unless you specifically require that before the project begins. E. Workmanship requirements, as listed in ROC are unknown by the contractor and will not be managed to ensure a high-quality installation. F. Pelleco told me repeatedly that I expected perfection. I didn't expect perfection, but I did expect the work to be done correctly. I think anyone can see, from the attached photos, that this job was far from perfect. G. Expect to be asked for payment prior to the completion of each phase and the completion of the work overall. Don't fall for this as it will leave you with little leverage to ensure your job is completed and completed correctly. Our job was not completed and warranty items were left to me to repair. Just in case the contractor responds with "changes were made". Every change was done in writing and approved prior to installation. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I've attached a few pictures here.
