What is a review without giving some simple advice? Do not consider any other custom home design…read moreand builder until you meet Scott and Maria, and the Crystal Creek Team. Every member of their team, including their subcontractors, are incredibly responsive, care about what you think, and especially about the quality of their workmanship. They all genuinely care about the commitment they have made to YOU to build YOUR home. (Cannot speak for others, but for us... they act as if they are building their own home and even spending their own money.) While we all know a detailed and solid contract is an absolute (which they have), the REAL consideration is how the Builder and the team of professionals treat you as a client, the experience, how they represent you before your HOA and the Design Review Committee, and the level of accountability and trust that they instill as they are building your home. Remember... the contractual relationship that you have entered into with a builder is over an extended period of time. A period of time that will have many challenges and changes in your vision, and expectations (I admit, it was more me than my wife.) It is your custom home, and they know what they must do to meet your expectations. My wife and I were out of State during the entire construction period of our custom home. It went unbelievably smooth every step of the way. While I echo all of the positive comments made in the other client reviews (i.e., reliable, innovative, responsive, attentive), I want to take a moment to share one last impressive note about Crystal Creek...Once they hand the keys over to you, the relationship does not end. They stand by the workmanship of the custom home that they have built for you. Scott and Maria, Gary our construction superintendent, the team of professionals, remain responsive to this date and treat you as their most important customer. It is a privilege to have had our beautiful American Ranch custom home built by Crystal Creek Builders.

We are so pleased about our recent experience building a new home in Prescott with Crystal Creek!…read more From the owners to the office staff to the superintendent, the process was transparent, efficient, and professional (even fun!). They really know what they're doing! The subcontractors expressed genuine care about the quality of their work, and it showed! The house was completed in less time than projected, and the cost was fair. No money was spent which was not first approved by us as the owners. It's so refreshing to have hired a builder with integrity. We would recommend Crystal Creek to anyone looking for an honest, excellent builder. The product is absolutely beautiful! We love our new home and look forward to many happy years living there.

I finally got my house fixed after having gone to the AZ ROC. That is my advice. If customer care…read moredoes not take care of you in a timely manner, file a complaint with the AZ ROC! Even then, it still took Capstone 5 months to fix all my issues. Additional advice would be to record all conversations you have with Capstone employees. We were lied to at every step of the way: Sales (we can make whatever changes you want because we're a custom homebuilder; you can order anything off of the build.com site for your home), Construction (we'll tell the drywall contractor to make the walls as smooth as possible; I think the walls meet the 75% smooth criteria), Customer Care (you know we'll always be here for you). Workmanship had a lot to be desired. Nearly all inside corners were not square. Capstones response was, no problem, we'll just put caulk in there. Gaps between the baseboard and drywall? Caulking will take care of that. I've never seen a house with such wavy walls, or walls that weren't straight vertically. I have some walls that I cannot hang pictures on because the bottom would stick out due to the bulge in the wall. We had areas in the house which were never painted until the walls were smoothed 1.5 years after moving into our home. Capstone's response is that labor was hard to come by during Covid, but we didn't pay over $1M for a house with such shoddy workmanship. I've included some pictures. The dryer vent box opening was a rough cut and the wall was never painted. The box has a 1/2" gap between the box and the drywall. We first reported water leaks under our sliding doors on 7/2023. We were without the use of our master bedroom (3/2024-9/2024) and study (3/2024-10/2024) due to the removal of the flooring in the rooms. After those rooms were completed, Capstone then proceeded to smooth the wall texture in phases: the great room and main hallway; the laundry room & hall bath; middle bedroom & bath; front bedroom & bath. During each phase, furniture was stored in the study, great room, and hallway. We were finally able to use our study at the end of 3/2025. When my 87 y.o. mother came to visit for 3 weeks in 2024, my wife and I had to sleep on couches in separate rooms because our mater bedroom furniture was being stored in the master bathroom. I asked for hardship compensation, I was told that I wouldn't get it because Capstone didn't have a policy regarding hardship. After work was finally finished to my satisfaction in 6/2025, I again requested a hardship payment from the Capstone president who happens to live across the street from me. My request was again denied, but he wanted to emphasize that they would always be here to support us. Nice try Capstone, but your actions mean a lot more than your words. Thankfully, we are surrounded by great neighbors. If it wasn't for them, we would have gone out of our minds.

The quality of the construction was a minus 10, They had replaced almost all the windows and still they did not work correctly because they built the home WRONG. The illegals that build these homes with drugged babies in mother's arms so they do not awaken from the blasting music and noise, was beyond belief. There truly was not anything that did not need repair and they could never fix it. Now there is Black Mold due to the horrible construction & plumbing issues. My neighbor moved in and on day one the plumbing burst and now there is black mold not only in her home but on many of the homes and throughout this community. There should be a way to sue Capstone homes and those in the sales office that lie about the homes. DO NOT BUY HERE unless you want a nightmare life. Both of my neighbors have now put their home on the market for less than they paid, just to get the fk out of there. SUE CAPSTONE and the Sales Office for their deliberate fraud. The photo you see here is of a mother with her baby. The baby was clearly drugged so it did not scream in pain from the blasting level 10 noise. Peter at the sales office was notified many times and did nothing.

We couldn't be happier with our choice of the Acklin Brothers to build our dream home in Prescott…read more Our lot was difficult and our house was modern and extremely complicated. We interviewed 11 other builders and we were so grateful we decided to contract with Gary and Glenn during the unpredictable economic times that started almost as soon as our build began. We watched many other homes and builders struggle with severe delays, subs, supplies, and incomplete or inferior results. However, due to Acklins experience, common sense judgment, relationships with sub-contractors, hard work ethics, and expert knowledge, we watched our home translate from architectural plans into a structurally sound and magnificent one-of-a-kind home that was nothing short of spectacular. We can't say enough about Gary, Glenn, and their team, especially Anthony and Marcus, who were there every step of the way. They went above and beyond. The Acklin Brothers team are honest, dependable, and just plain good folks. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

During the process and even after they handed us the keys, they quickly return calls and are always helpful. We are very pleased and you would be too.
