I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so mishandled that I feel obligated to warn others. If I could leave a zero star review I would. My father purchased hearing aids under a trial period that ended on December 28. Multiple attempts were made before the trial period ended to return the hearing aids, yet the office refused to accept them and hid behind technicalities, poor communication, and silence. On December 9, during an in-office appointment, my father clearly stated that he wanted to return the hearing aids because he was unhappy. Rather than explaining the return deadline or process, Keith told him there were still "adjustments" to try. He did not clearly state that the hearing aids had to be physically returned before the end of the trial period. On December 26, an email was sent requesting to return the hearing aids. Another email followed on December 27 from my father initiating the return. The office was closed on December 28 for the holidays, yet no guidance was provided about how returns would be handled during that closure. Keith did not respond until December 30, stating the trial period had ended and the hearing aids could not be returned. To make matters worse, follow-up emails and phone calls went unanswered. When we followed up again in January, the response cited HIPAA--despite the fact that I personally attended the first appointment, completed the paperwork, and was listed as a point of contact. At a second appointment, we even asked if additional authorization paperwork was needed to assist with communication and were explicitly told that was not needed and note would be added to my father's chart. Keith has discretion to extend the trial period. Knowing my father was unhappy, knowing the next appointment wasn't until March, and knowing the office would be closed at the very end of the trial period, he chose not to extend it--or even clearly explain the deadline. Instead, it feels like time was allowed to quietly run out. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a failure of transparency, communication, and basic ethics. The experience left us feeling dismissed, ignored, and taken advantage of--especially troubling when dealing with an elderly patient making a significant financial and medical decision. I've purchased hearing aids from Dave and Sheri and it has been a wonderful experience. Dave first allowed me to sample two different brands of aids back-to-back to help me with my decision. After settling on a particular brand, Dave has been very patient with helping me fine tune them to my liking. He listens to all of my concerns and answers my numerous questions. I'm still trying to get used to them fully and have more appointments with Dave but we are headed in the proper direction. I only need to use hearing aids When I visit grandkids out of state P I got the hearing aids from United health Care but their offices are 86 miles and it takes weeks to get an appt. I was referred to CCHA through my insurance provider, Epic. A different hearing specialist kept recommending the top of the line Widex hearing aids. I wasn't comfortable with the price and all the technology. Epic recommended the Vista T and Dave at CCHA was able to fit me with two top of the line Vista hearing aids for less than half the price of the Widex. Dave's easy going manner and history in the sound business made it easy to work with him. He was able to answer all my questions as ha had a history of successful fittings with this brand. My evaluation period was 45 days on this brand so I was able to get used to them. Dave used that time to get them to fit even better than the initial fitting. My experience as a first time user is very satisfying. I don't even say "What?" Every time my wife try's to talk to me anymore! read more

I went into Crystal Clear Hearing Aids for a free hearing exam. I hadn't had a hearing test in years and wanted to make sure that my hearing was still ok. Sheri is super nice and knowledgeable and made the whole process easy and stress free. Thankfully my hearing is near perfect, but I did find out that I have major wax buildup in my ears (which is probably why I end up getting ear infections when we go to the lake) and Sheri showed me how to easily get rid of the wax. The report is very detailed letting you know what frequencies and letter sounds you can and cannot hear. My wife thought I had some hearing loss. When you don't know any different, it's hard to measure, but I went to see Crystal Clear for a free hearing test. Sure enough, I had loss in the high range and purchased my first hearing aids. David and Sheri were welcoming and very helpful. Dave explained that some sounds would seem way too loud initially, and he was right. Wrinkling paper was LOUD!! He explained that with time my brain and new hearing ability would synch up...and he was right. It took a while, but now all the sounds seem natural. My biggest surprise was on my first night with hearing aids and going on our deck in Lake Arrowhead and hearing CRICKETS for the first time. Just amazing! So glad my wife guided me to Dave and Sheri. My mother recently had a very delightful experience with Dave Longeuay at Crystal Clear Hearing Aids. He was most kind, gentle and professional to her throughout the testing and then in fitting her with her new aids.
