Stopped in for happy hour Friday and the ambiance was nice and the staff/service very friendly. However, the meatballs had no taste at all. I don't think any seasoning was spared and the sauce was bland as well. It was extremely disappointing but my wine selection was great. I would only come back for the drinks unfortunately.

Came here on a whim while walking through the Battery, sat outside to people watch. The waiter was great, very knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up getting a Sprite in a very fancy glass instead of wine but I will be back to taste some of the wines they have a lot of options to choose from. The charcuterie was good and the meatballs were heavenly, I couldn't stop dipping the bread in the sauce.

Filet mignon

The filet mignon was very good and worth it! Nice waitress as well ! Personally didn't care to sit outside due to some minor nats but other than that it was nice to be in the fresh air !

A really nice vibe. We came just at the right time so it wasn't packed, but it definitely filled up quick. We sat at the bar with some amazing bartenders. The margherita pizza was real good & the wines were real tasty as well. We missed happy hour but will definitely be back!

It's too expensive for what it is. The wine flights are essentially one glass of wine divided into three, so you're paying $32 for one glass of wine. Absurd. The service is fine and the food is ok, but it's just not worth the price.

Each and every time I go here.... exceptional service, food and ambiance. I love the white wine sweet flight..... a go to for me, even several while Im there lol All food items are fresh to order and beautifully plated. I love the fried calamari, my favorite, its listed as the Fritto Misto. One of my favorite stops at Truist Park.

I did the pretty in pink flight, very generous pours and great location for people watching. My waitress was great and the crab spinach artichoke dip was a great snack. Next time I'll sit inside and check out the vibe:

I thought I'd already reviewed this place but let's try this again. Cru is located inside the Battery. I went because a friend wanted to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised with the basically everything - food, service, and ambiance. The goat cheese n honey appetizer is absolutely lovely. My food was hot n good and there was great service.

We surprisingly had a pleasant experience at Cru. We stopped here for a quick bite before heading inside Truist Park. We arrived around 5:30 and there were still empty tables both inside and outside. We got wonderful service as soon as we walked in and were seated right away. Our server, Nick, was very attentive. It was our first time there and he told us the popular items to get. I asked for the happy hour menu but was told that's only available on non-game days. Both my husband and I ordered a glass of wine and shared the goat cheese beignets, shrimp and lobster potstickers, and wagyu meatballs. The beignets is a must get! It's filled with goat cheese and loved the cracked black pepper on the honey. The potstickers and meatballs were both recommended but the potstickers were a miss for me. It was topped with a sweet chili sauce but definitely on the spicier side. The meatballs only came with 2 but was a pretty decent size. It was a tad too salty for my taste when eating it alone, but tasted better when eating it with the bread. We were in and out of here in 45 mins. They also have quite a selection of wine and wine flights available. Will definitely keep this place in mind next time we're at the Battery!

There's a few reasons why I'm giving this place to stars. It's not necessarily because of the drinks, some of the food didn't really live up to par. However, it's specifically the service we received from the manager. For starters, our direct server was amazing, she was helpful and accommodating. because on the website it promoted the bottomless mimosa brunch on certain days however, when we arrived, we learned that it is not bottomless mimosas on game days. The server was able to help us pivot and give us other options which resulted in us purchasing a few different bottles of champagne. At first, they mentioned that they didn't have any sort of orange juice or anything. But eventually, someone was able to retrieve some or shoes from the kitchen. That just put a sour taste in our mouth because it was my friends birthday and the plan was brunch and bottomless mimosas but we were able to turn it around and I'm happy about that! we made reservations for 11 AM and we got there a little bit early maybe about 5 to 10 minutes early and the doors to the restaurant was open. When we walked in the manager had what I felt like an unapproachable and unwelcoming persona. The way she looked at us when we walked in, didn't sit right with me. she did explain that the restaurant wasn't open and then immediately closed the doors however, her delivery when relaying that message wasn't really exhibiting great customer care in my opinion. She also brought a level of discomfort when we sat in the restaurant I felt as if again she wasn't inviting an approachable. As far as the food or appetizers were better than my meals. I got a pizza because I figured you can't go wrong with that however, the margarita pizza was probably the one of the worst I've ever had. not to say that it was terrible as some people may enjoy it, but I recommend getting something else. we did enjoy the calamari and the other appetizers that we got! Overall, I wouldn't recommend maybe this location because I've heard so many great things about this restaurant. With that, I would consider going to the other location in downtown!

Pinot Flight

Nice experience. The total rating of 3.5 is a little low. This is a solid 4 star restaurant. The service was very good and waiter was attentive and knowledgeable on the food and wine menu. I had a few flights of wine and they were all very good. See photos for the wine. I had the pinot noir, spanish and the blend. In would favor the pinot blend that had robust flavors without being too sweet. The other flights were still very good. Went with the tuna tartare for an appetizer. Excellent flavor and paring with the guacamole. Kent with the trout for the main course. It was lightly fried and came with couscous. The fry on the fish was light and done very well. The couscous was also good. The atmosphere was perfectly laid back to chill with friends.

The potatoes Bravas are better than any in the city- ethereal texture, crispy and fluffy with just the right spice. Pair it with a nice jammy red! The burger is delicious and surprisingly well balanced (considering it's many components). And the fries are once again crazy good. Any misses? Sure- the dates were good but not great and the cheese and charcuterie board could use a little love. But make no mistake, we ate every bite. This is a wine bar and from that end, it's great as well. The flights are a great way to explore the list. But the surprise here is how good the kitchen is! Can't wait to come back an explore the rest of the menu! By the way, the prices are incredibly reasonable!

A friend turned me onto this old school small local vibe Italian restaurant…read more It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a great place to grab some authentic homemade Italian. A bit off the beaten path and ponied up to a liquor store, this little gem is probably not a place I'd venture out to without a recommendation. And I'm so glad we had one. Great homemade pastas and other great Italian treats. Started off with some hot bread right out of the oven and then went for a caesar salad and a lovely gnocchi pasta from scratch..... delicious. The only thing I'd change is the caesar salad had way too much dressing. Everything else top notch. Including the service, which was fantastic.

I randomly decided that I wanted Italian so we decided to check them out for the first time. Mezza Luna is located in a very small plaza with a tight parking lot. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!
