Came here with 2 friends on a Sunday for brunch. The was only 1 server for the entire restaurant. This led to very delayed service. Everything took 3x as long from ordering to getting refills, the check, etc. The food and drinks were good but they ran out of one of the ingredients for their blood orange bellini so that was a little disappointing. The venue is very cute though. It's small and intimate. read more

Cru is a very cute bar at the battery. Our waitress Bri was great. We tried the alcohol flights. My favorite out of the flights was the copasaldo sparkling peach. The appetizers are amazing. Enough space to come mid day and work from cru with a glass of wine. Next time i will try a full meal. read more

Cool wine bar. Cool atmosphere. Gorgeous interior. Love The Battery area! Parking was a breeze and free up to 4 hours in the Green Deck. Came here with a girlfriend for a weekend lunch and we had the strangest experience. First our server could NOT stop saying, "YASS GIRL YASS," to whatever comment we made. I think we counted her saying it at least 5 times. Maybe she was trying to appear "hip" to us. Maybe we looked like very young Millennials (which we are not, thank you very much). I loved the idea of wine flights. Great way to try samples of wine. I went with the Notorious Reds and found them all to be nice, full bodied wines. Our server shined in her knowledge of the wines. I really enjoyed that. Wished there was a flight that had variety of Reds and Whites. And thank God for the wine because our food took FOREVER. I think we waited atleast 30 minutes until our "appetizer" arrived which was actually the pizza entree my friend ordered. We corrected them and they tried to take it back? But then we told them to go ahead and serve her and I would just wait for my salad. About 15 minutes later, I was brought a Salmon salad. I had actually ordered the Herb Crusted Tuna salad and I had to correct our server again. Another 15 minutes passes and I received an Ahi Tuna salad. At this point, I was starving and just ate it. I don't think either of us was amazed by our meal or the delay in service for our food without an explanation. There was about 3 other tables so they weren't super busy. Who knows but there was definitely something odd with all the errors that were made. I would come here for the wine flights. Stick to sitting at the bar. Eat somewhere else especially if you are hungry. read more

I loved the brunch. So disappointed in myself that I never knew about it. I had the omelet with black truffle mushrooms, goat cheese, and spinach. It was pretty big but very fresh and piping hot. That was one of the best omelets I've had! Plus the mimosas are $3! COVID-19: they have plenty of patio seating but you can also dine inside. All of the servers wore masks correctly. I took off one star because they let some folks inside without masks on. Tisk tisk. Masks should be enforced yall. read more

If you like the idea of liking wine then you'll love Cru. Cru features everything you would expect from a wine bar: cool colored decor, a cheese selection, art placards in cursive writing, and male waiters with graying hair. Moreover, Cru is a largely unitimedating establishment, as you will not be greeted by a sommelier and won't have the opportunity to test-or expand on- your wine knowledge in front of your date. Nonetheless, my favorite part about Cru is that Cru offers a wine flight-which is very corky and unique. I wish other restaurants would do the same, as it allows you a chance to do the pepsi challenge without embarrassment or pressure. Like Cru itself, the food portion of my wine bar experience was largely underwhelming. I ordered the short rib which wasn't necessarily bad, but did taste wholesale manufactured. My girlfriend ordered the chicken picatta which was "plain but good." I probably will not come back to Cru- the unitemdating experience turns insipid pretty quickly; but I don't regret trying it.  While munching on our heirloom and burrata salad with strobe lights from across the street flashing, my girlfriend reminded me how nice it is to sit outside and enjoy a fresh salad. And she's right. read more

Rainy Saturday so went to brunch with a friend. Restaurant fairly quiet. Ron, our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We discussed wine preferences and settled on two different Cabernets. The offerings for wine are varied and very nice. They even offer some wine flights so you can try several options. . We both ordered appetizers and entrees. Appetizers arrived quickly and were delicious. I'd return just for the beignets. Omg! Ron came by to apologize that they were out of fries for my burger but offered some substitutions. Plating was very nice, portions generous and we enjoyed our meals. We had second glasses of wine. Chose to pass on dessert offerings. Very nice experience and will be back soon. Last night experienced their first wine tasting dinner. Wines were great, food was good. Pairings were wonderful!!! Presentation was wonderful. Savannah our waitperson was phenomenal! My only issue was that we were seated right in the center of the restaurant and initially it was hard to hear the discussion as the restaurant was full of other patrons. Also a nearby table was so close to ours, couldn't get into my chair nor could someone at that table. We ended up doing some "creative" re-design . Might have been better to put us all in a corner section. Our dinner companions were also so nice. I hear there's another one in May. Count us in!! read more

Beautiful little restaurant with outdoor seating! Right in the heart of all the action at the Battery. I went for a girls night out with my former district manager and friend. I had the ahi tuna tartar and she chose a cheese and fruit plate as an appetizer. Everything was so good and beautifully presented. We both had the salmon for our entrees and sparkling water. The salmon was a little too salty for both of us but we still enjoyed it. Everything was great except Th e service was very slow. Our server was super friendly but she must have been overwhelmed with tables. We are very understanding of this but still felt a bit left behind once the place got busy. All in all I would definitely recommend Cru! Upscale but casual and they catered to my diet restrictions which was nice (just let yourself server know of any allergies or preferences). We walked around the Battery after and it's definitely a very lively place! read more

Was visiting the Battery Atlanta during a Braves away game and wanted to try an array of appetizers while on the go. First time here and first impressions say it all. This was a beautiful establishment from the outdoor modern seating to the towering wine bar. I ordered the first three things that stood out - (1) Cheese Fondue; (2) Margherita Pizza; (3) Lamb Lollipops. I enjoyed all three but the lamb was by far the best item of the day and will have you wanting more. Our waitress provided excellent services! I recommend this for date night. **Advice to avoid crowds make sure you don't go during a Braves game read more

The wine is EXQUISITE ..... the Valentine's Day menu is TRASH. The food is not hot when it comes out, very lukewarm. It is NOT SEASONED AT ALL. To top it all of the portion size is NOT ENOUGH. For $65 a person this could have been MUCH BETTER. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Came in for their happy hour (4-6:30PM) and they don't have wine specials as advertised but they did have food on special. We got the margarita flatbread and mussels. The flatbread wasn't great, it didn't have enough cheese on it. The mussels were delicious, the sauce was amazing. We also got the flight #4 which was delicious. All the champagnes were good, my favorite was the sparkling peach, hers was the rose Prosecco. We tried to get a glass of each but their pour was so small, it was more economical to just get a bottle. The server was attentive and gave recommendations. The vibe is really cute, low lit and a great date atmosphere. read more

Not a bad option for dining at The Battery. A friend and I were worried about it getting busy on a night when there was a concert, so we stopped in to ask the host and he put our name down on the waitlist and noted the time we wanted to come in. When we came back, it was only half full, so we got in without a problem after all. We wanted to drink wine, which was why we decided to try Cru. We decided to split a truffle pizza since nothing else was really calling out to us and we weren't super hungry. We also didn't want to spend $30+ on the other entrees. The prices are a bit high, but they are going for a more upscale vibe, and I'm sure The Battery's rent is high. read more

Really great experience at Cru. Started with a wine flight and paired it with a cheese board. The Cabernet flight was amazing. I enjoyed all the wines a lot. I also had the potstickers as an appetizer it was really delicious too. The place is very nice in the inside and a great experience. For my entree I had the mushroom pizza it was good but I expected it to be different/saucier. Still was delicious though. I will definitely go back again. read more

Made reservations to have my New Years dinner here because they had several items on their menu that looks delicious. Online it gave me the option if I wanted to use their "New Years Menu" which was $75/person but had nothing on it that my date and I wanted. We declined the option, however, once arrived, they said we could only order off the "New Years Menu" and couldn't use the regular menu, which is opposite of what my reservation insinuated. We didn't want to waste $150 on food we didn't want so we opted to leave just to find that every other place was completely booked. Thanks for ruining my New Years dinner, Cru! read more

This wine bar is a nice spot in The Battery. Environment: The space itself is not that big, but it is a nice size and well-decorated with a wall of wine and bottles of wine behind the bar. There is a good amount of seating at the bar and the place is nicely lit. Food/drink: To eat we had the Lobster & Shrimp Potstickers, Salsiccia Pizza, and the Fig & Prosciutto Pizza. For drinks I did the No. 1 wine flight (Everyone Loves Bubbles) and the No. 10 wine flight (Killer Cabernets). I wasn't a fan of the potstickers as the sauce they put on it was way too sweet and the potsticker dough was too gummy. The Salsiccia was great and I thought the goat cheese was a nice touch. The Fig and Prosciutto was also tasty. Both of my wine flights were absolutely delightful and great choices. Service: The bartender, Stephanie, was quite pleasant and checked regularly to see if I needed anything. Overall, this is a cute spot and I'm hoping they open one of these in the city! read more

I came here for a end of the year work dinner. Everything was OK. The food was OK. I think we were served house red and white and I wasn't too impressed. I think that I would have enjoyed another choice so this is just referring to this particular experience. We had a set menu that included appetizers. They served us wagyu meatball which were a table favorite. My colleague and I ordered the filet mignon and the sea scallops. We liked the scallops way more than the filet mignon. It's not the best place for a work dinner. We didn't have our own space and it was really loud. It was hard to interact with everyone on the team. It's a small restaurants so you have high tables and there was a large group having a great time and then our group. The staff was friendly and I would definitely come back with a small group of friends. read more

Cru is a really good wine bar and one that is just solid all around. A good vibe and fun especially for a group. Cru food and wine bar is located within The Battery near Truist Park where the Atlanta Braves play (Insert Tomahawk here). It's super cute for tapas and a flight of wines to try. Me and two other girlfriends went here to brunch on a Sunday about a week ago and it was still as cute and cozy as I remembered. I love me a good salmon and capers so that was my entree of choice as the same for my another friend. One friend tried the Fig & Gorgonzola Bruschetta which she said was different and very tasty. We got to enjoy the mimosa drink specials until cut off time (forgot what time the cut off happened). We tried just about all the Mimosas and Bellinis that had to offer. We also threw in a glass of Moscato and Prosecco, all were pretty good. The service could have been a bit better. There was only one girl serving everyone and making drinks which became noticeably overwhelming for her but this was my first time experiencing that here. However, we'll be back for sure as the weather warms up more in GA. Hopefully they'll have enough staff to handle us the next go round. read more

When Cru opened up at the Battery, I was really hoping that it would be spectacular. The small size of the restaurant led me to believe it'd be a cozy place to get a great glass of wine and tasty food to go with it. However, our first experience there was definitely sub-par. It took awhile for us to get seated and once we did, there was still delayed service in waiting for the waiter to first approach our table. We first placed a few wine flight orders which took awhile to come out and arrived at different times for members of our party. We then placed a few appetizer orders only to discover they had ran out of some of the more popular items. We settled on the caprese salad which was small but good. When it came to order entrees, I was disappointed to find out that our waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu's gluten free items. My husband has celiac disease so it's important for us to understand what safe options there are for him to eat. He ended up getting the sea scallops and I ordered a short ribs dish. We enjoyed what we ordered but the couple we were with had to send their steaks back; they had ordered the same filet cuts but one came out much different from the other. Since we went on a weekend night close to their opening date, I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they were still working out all the kinks. We haven't returned yet but we probably will in the future to give them another chance. read more

Conveniently located in battery park at the atlanta braves stadium. Awesome place to be fancy with some wine and charcuterie board. Seating is limited inside so on a busy night you may have to wait. There are also seats available outside patio area. Great place to pregame before watching the game. Various wine flights are available depending on how your taste. As for food. We went aight the scallop main dish starting off with ahi Tuna tartare. Ending on a sweet note with the chocolate molten cake. My only regret was there was no ice cream on the cake. Service was exceptional and very hospitable! When everyone at your table orders fights, is when you realize how much you and your friends look like alcoholics. Finally checked out Cru after stopping by during an event last year. I liked the variety of wines available, but wasn't thrilled with the food offerings. I'm a red wine lover, and I tried the All I Do Is Zin, Zin, Zin flight (they had fun names for their wine flights). I also had a margherita pizza, which was just okay IMO. I'd return for the wine and ambiance, but probably eat somewhere else in The Battery. read more

Everything about this place was out of the park. Food, service and ambiance was great. Right outside of suntrust park. We had 5 apos and they were all fantastic. The potstickers were delish, the goat cheese beignets to die for, the fondue was good but better was the lamb chops and the pear and gorgonzola flat bread. Wasn't too crowded for before the game food. Had an outdoor section that looked fun too. Will def be back for more! read more

Stopped in for a quick wine tasting and some small plates with a client on a weekday night. Its a nice little setting, sat at the bar and ordered from a bartender that was reasonable friendly. Wine that was recommended to us was ok, food was ok, it was just an ok visit. Can't knock the restaurant for this but the night I was there must have been d-bag night. There were 3 different groups of people loudly talking and one was worse than the next. Worst was the young sales guy (can always tell by the loud pink socks with the business suit) bragging to his friends about his latest deals, his Rolex and loudly discussing the virtues of each wine he was tasting.... Dude you are in your 30s now, give it a rest. Another guy came in like Norm from Cheers and started buying wine for the room, making himself the loud center of attention and making sure he got his pats on the back for selecting the best wine in the world, such body and aroma. Not sure if this is the regular crowd but it was pretentious as hell and would avoid just for that reason. read more

Great wine flights. Cheese and cracker selection was great. Service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Brunch!!! Great food! Great ambiance! Great prices! I have been to the wine bar on a few occasions. Their wine flights are a great way to sample something new. It's also a great spot to relax after work with an app and a glass. But, this visit was specifically for Brunch. My sis and I were searching brunch spots a few days earlier. We are always looking for a great price on mimosas and very tasty food. Then, boom! The brunch fairies sent us an offer from Cru. $3 mimosas and BOGO brunch entrees! Cru for the Sunday brunch win! We arrived right at 11:30 and there was no wait. We had tour choice of indoor seating or patio, we chose a high top. Then we got ready to brunch! Fooooood: We started with a classic mimosa carafe and a peach Bellini carafe. The Bellini was a lil on the sweet side, I think I'll stick with my classic mimosa. We got 4 solid glasses out of each $12 carafe. So save glasses and save your server a trip. Get a carafe is the conscientious thing to do. I ordered the steak and eggs($16) my sis ordered the shrimp n grits ($15). My steak and eggs was a med filet, fresh scrambled eggs, and roasted potatoes. The filet was so tasty and everything was the perfect serving size to feel satisfied. I will definitely be back for their brunch option again, or a mimosa to go! Tip: I joined their loyalty club and you get a free entre on your birthday as well as special coupons and offers. Parking: on non-event days you can park up to 4 hours free in the red deck. So grab a mimosa and a bite them hangout in the Battery. read more

Last night my fiancé, who travels for a living, and I decided to try cru for a rare date night. It was a Saturday night so we knew there may be a wait and planned to walk around while waiting for the table. We put our name on the list and were told it'd be about 10 minutes so we walked around the battery for a bit. About 40 minutes later we hadn't received a call or a text so we returned to get an update. My fiancé walked up to the hostess and asked if maybe they had the wrong number and if not how long they were expecting. My fiancé noticed that four or five parties after our name on the list had been crossed off. After the hostess looked through the list she grabbed the manager who came to speak with my fiancé. He apologized and said they were understaffed so they couldn't seat any tables at the moment even though about half of the restaurant was empty. He told us it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. We started to walk around again and see if there were any places with manageable waits for us to get dinner. After another 45 minutes we had not been contacted and decide to just head home. We left around 8:30 PM EST. We never even heard from the restaurant. No call. No text. Nothing. Even after doubling back to make sure they had the right phone number. Couldn't be more disappointed - and we didn't even have their food. read more

First time at Cru. Loved it. The ambiance was chill; nice vibe. The service was top notch. Shoutout to our server, Savannah. She really made the experience what it was. And her manager was so nice too. The wine flights will make anyone a fan of wine. So many options, you can't choose wrong. The only reason I gave it four stars was due to having to send two dishes back to kitchen. Other than that, I will hopefully become a regular at Cru. read more

Visited with friends early on a Saturday when the place was still pretty empty. Wait staff was helpful and attentive. Pinot noir wine flight was excellent. The seafood fettuccine special was a sizable portion had an incredible amount of meat, but unfortunately was way over-seasoned.
