I stopped by because I wanted to know about how was the place from the Perfect Storm. I was disappointment no menu therefore no food. So I took some pictures then we left. I thought it was a regular bar with food.

Came here with a friend because he knew about the movie history. It's a good dive bar. The people are friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you're looking for a place where the beautiful people go, this isn't it.

For me, this was a dive bar. Sure, it's the bar from "The Perfect Storm" and it was cool to get here but it's a dive bar. I landed here during some sort of celebration and since I'm not involved with whatever that was, I enjoyed my cold beer and headed onwards. The bar has photos and tributes to the locals who lost their lives at sea. If you're a fan of the movie, this is a must see. [Review 18592 overall - 1174 in Massachusetts - 2114 of 2022.]

Came here because this is the bar of the move "Perfect Storm". Very interesting to see people drinking at noon. lol. It is Boston though. Just came inside to see the cast members photos on the walls along with the people who lost there lives at sea. Highly recommended

Famous for movie buffs . Stop by and see the great photo albums . There are many locals inside , they don't bite , they are actually extremely pleasant . Typical bar atmosphere with nice cold beer . I recommend trying the stuffed clams , they are very flavorful and full of real clam pieces .

Great establishment. Wonderful mix of locals and tourist visiting due to the film, The Perfect Storm. The bar pays tribute to the locals that have been lost at sea with pictures on the wall. Atmosphere is great.

We had a great time at The Crow's nest. Great fun with locals at the bar, Keno. Had a reservation for a nights stay. Bar tab and room included in one tab. : ) Def will be back.

Tharr she blows! It's the Crow's Nest of Gloucester!!! The Crow's Nest was depicted in motion picture "The Perfect Storm" filmed in Gloucester. The real Crow's Nest is located along Main Street and the Inner Harbor. Several celebrities have visited the Crow's Nest including Mark Wahlberg, George Clooney, Diane Lane, and Steven Spielberg. The bar atmosphere is dark and loud with all of the amenities of a good local dive bar including bar stool seating, framed pictures on the wall, internet jukebox, pinball machine, pool table, and Keno, which is frequented by locals and sailors alike-aaarrrrgh!! They serve lunch too! Besides the bar, the Crow's Nest offers some of the most reasonably priced lodging in Gloucester. My 2 buddies and I stayed here recently for only a mere $75.00 for one night, that's less than $30 per person in a very touristy area. The hotel staff even provided us with an extra cot, in addition to the two double beds. We checked into our "fine hotel" from inside the bar. There's no onsite parking, so we had to hunt for a parking space on the street. We entered the hotel through the rear of the building via a dark unlit alley. Did I say this place was a fine hotel?? What I really meant to say is that the Crow's Nest is a damn fine hotel!! - but only if you're wearing special beer goggles provided in the bar. Our sh*tastic room was above the bar and overlooked Main Street and the foggy harbor with many docked ships and boats. The "sketchy" room was crammed with 2 beds and a cot with sheets, 20" TV with cable, bathroom with tub/shower, extra towels, little soaps, and a couple of lights. The trim was very worn out and the room also had a drop ceiling with tiles. There was no A/C in the room, so the windows were open with the aroma "stench" of the sea breeze which filled the room. My buddies stretched out on the beds chilling out before our "pub crawl" and began wondering if there was any "pirate's treasure" hidden up in the drop ceiling since the ceiling air vent was bent and not working. They decided to take some peeks in the ceiling. Let's just say they found some very interesting "surprises" leftover from some of the previous guests and leave it at that! After our "pub crawl" through G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S Gloucester, we turned in for the night at our "far from first class" room. I decided to rest on top of the bed with my own bedsheet, which I brought with me. I wasn't taking any chances here! Since I was the DD (had minimal drinks) and sober, I did not get any sleep because I was a bit creeped out by the room and it was next to the very busy Main Street with large loud trucks passing by all night. My buddies were wearing those special beer goggles and were so wasted from a long night of drinking that they didn't give a "flying flip" and crashed under the filthy covers and bedsheets and passed out very quickly. Ewwww!! Just picture a double vision of Homer Simpson (Mmmmm, beer..drool) and Barney Gumbel (Belchh!!) passed out. They slept right through all the loud outside commotion. In the morning, I looked outside the window and there were flocks of seagulls were flying around, making lots of noise, and making the harbor and cityscape look even more beautiful than ever, and where are the crows? This place could be nicknamed the Seagull's Nest. We left the keys in the bar, got some coffee at the Lone Gull, and got the heck out of Dodge in the Ford! Would we return to the Crow's Nest? Definitely! The bar has a lot of character, but skip the hotel unless you are really, really desperate or you're Drunky McDrunkerson! My buddy's pickup truck is a nicer place to get some sleep. I'm being serious. All I can say is this adventure to the Crow's Nest was an unforgettable experience! Bar: 3.5 STARS (typical dive bar with Keno) Hotel: 2 STARS (very basic place to crash drunk, extra towels and soap) Location: 2.5 STARS (close to downtown, lack of onsite parking) Value: 4 STARS (priced right in a touristy area) OVERALL RATING: 3 STARS

Very historic and local. I thought I would be a tourist trap. It wasn't. Very friendly staff and patrons. Bartenders had fun personalities. Made an incredible bloody Mary. Knew all about the towns history. If your looking for fancy this isn't it. If your looking for authentic this is it. Will go back for hours if I ever get the chance.

Wedding Venue Review: We saw so many venues at the start of planning and the Beauport was the only one that made a lasting impression. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to host our wedding there. It was so stunning, beautiful and perfect. We were truly proud to invite our friends and family to such a breathtaking place. The food was absolutely to die for, the waitstaff and hotel staff were so sweet, and our coordinator Jacey was attentive in the months leading up to our event. We did have some critiques. The communication with our coordinator was not 100% on the day of our wedding. There were small things here and there, but the biggest one was that a row was meant to be reserved for our bridesmaids, groomsmen and flower girl, but it was not so they ended up having to stand up with us. We discussed this many times during planning, and emphasized the importance of only having our man of honor and our best man standing up with us. There was no apology for this pretty considerable error until I brought it up myself a week after the wedding. The other critique was that my parents were in city facing rooms and had a very hard time sleeping due to excessive noise from the street. Other people in the room block had much better rooms which we felt should have been given to our parents. Other than that, everything was amazing. It was truly so special and we will never ever forget it. We couldn't be more grateful to have had the most perfect sunny day on the water in Gloucester, a place that has been special to my heart since I was a kid. Thank you Beauport Hotel! We will never ever forget our wedding day.

This review is specifically for the Oceanfront Breakfast Cafe…read more While we have stayed at the Inn several times, we continue to come back for the Breakfast Cafe. When they say the best breakfast in Gloucester, it's not an exaggeration! The couple that owns the Inn/Cafe are very hospitable and welcoming people. I've been visiting for the past 15+ years and every stay and meal has always been exceptional. Additionally, the staff they hire and employ is equally committed. It is truly a five-star operation. We were recently up in the area visiting Gloucester and Rockport. As always, one of those mornings meant we had to stop at Atlantis Oceanfront Cafe! It is a MUST. I almost hate letting this gem/secret out. It is the best place for breakfast with the very best view. It is post-card perfect. Your window table overlooks the rocks+water and you can visually see and hear the waves crashing against the rocks. It doesn't get much more picturesque or scenic than that! While the menu has changed a bit since my last visit, the quality has not. The breakfast portions are very generous and everything is of the highest quality. Our favorite is the eggs Benedict. Those perfectly poached eggs resting on top of those bakery-quality English muffins. The tender Canadian bacon. The perfect amount of creamy, perfectly seasoned hollandaise sauce. The side of tender and perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes. It doesn't get any better than that in my book! Another favorite of mine is their GIANT Fresh Blueberry Pancakes. They remind me greatly of every childhood trip to the Atlantis and Gloucester. I've always told my family if I had to have one last breakfast, let's hope Atlantis Cafe is in season! I am not joking either! Service is always top priority. Friendly and expeditious. The kitchen is open to the dining room and their culinary takes true pride in every plate they put out. If you're looking for the best breakfast with the best view in Gloucester, Atlantis Oceanfront is the place. I did notice the secret has gotten out as of late! We did have a short 15-minute wait this last visit. Parking can also be challenging given the lot size and guest/staff vehicles parked for the Inn. The patience is worth the reward! Best Breakfast in Gloucester. Period. Wonderful, Involved Owners.

They pulled some tables and chairs together to fit us all in a row. The setting and ambiance is very diner like with the address of the great ocean view. The menu was only one page but had all the essentials for a great breakfast. The waitress was quick off the mark to grab our drink orders. The coffee nice a hot, good cup of joe. 5/5 Fish cakes and eggs - I wanted to try something unique and they had this spectacular dish on menu. The fish cakes contained fresh chunks of fish and was seasoned just right. It wasn't too salty so went well with the spinach. The home fries were good and eggs over easy were done perfectly. The soft egg yolk broke and oozed just fine over the fish cakes. Definitely will come back again for breakfast when in the area.

Fortunately, a current guest of the hotel let me follow him in, and a housekeeper was able to get me the information I needed to access our room. It was two hours and twenty minutes past check-in time when the text arrived with check-in information. When I replied it would have been nice to have the check-in info prior the check-in time, or the phone answered, the person who replied said they were doing laundry out back and did not get the call. Another couple was experience the same issue as I attempted to check-in, so I believe this was not a one-off problem. Our King Oceanfront room was on the second floor, leading onto the deck that seats thirty. We were the only ones using the deck, fabulous for watching the sunrise. but I would not have loved looking out at thirty people using it, between us and our ocean view, during a busier time of the season. I'd recommend getting a room on the third floor for the view and to avoid hearing people above walking. On our second night, guests were in the adjacent room and it felt like they were in the room with us, we could hear their television and every word they said. The walls are thin. The bed was very firm and the pillows are large and extremely firm. We found it very uncomfortable. I was very excited to stay here; I grew up in Rockport, going to Front Beach with my grandmother, and looked forward to being at this location and checking out the new hotel. We'll try a different place next time we visit.
