What drew us in was "The Perfect Storm" but what made us stay was the friendly bartender, the welcoming folks sitting at the bar, and of course, the tasty drinks! At its heart, this is the best kind of dive bar: the kind filled with heart and colorful locals. The photographic homage to sea-faring folk shows none are forgotten while the laughter keeps the joy of camaraderie in the present.

Okay, besides the part that it is associated with a movie, this really is a locals pub and they made us feel right at home. The beers were reasonably priced, the people definitely like talking to the visitors and it takes you back to the old school pub atmosphere. I doubt much has changed here in a long time, which is what makes it perfect! Love that they really do want the memory alive of their lost loved ones and make an effort to talk to anyone that comes in. What a great remembrance and love to a great town and people. Thanks for making us feel so welcome!

I stopped by because I wanted to know about how was the place from the Perfect Storm. I was disappointment no menu therefore no food. So I took some pictures then we left. I thought it was a regular bar with food.

Came here with a friend because he knew about the movie history. It's a good dive bar. The people are friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you're looking for a place where the beautiful people go, this isn't it.

For me, this was a dive bar. Sure, it's the bar from "The Perfect Storm" and it was cool to get here but it's a dive bar. I landed here during some sort of celebration and since I'm not involved with whatever that was, I enjoyed my cold beer and headed onwards. The bar has photos and tributes to the locals who lost their lives at sea. If you're a fan of the movie, this is a must see. [Review 18592 overall - 1174 in Massachusetts - 2114 of 2022.]

Came here because this is the bar of the move "Perfect Storm". Very interesting to see people drinking at noon. lol. It is Boston though. Just came inside to see the cast members photos on the walls along with the people who lost there lives at sea. Highly recommended

Famous for movie buffs . Stop by and see the great photo albums . There are many locals inside , they don't bite , they are actually extremely pleasant . Typical bar atmosphere with nice cold beer . I recommend trying the stuffed clams , they are very flavorful and full of real clam pieces .

Great establishment. Wonderful mix of locals and tourist visiting due to the film, The Perfect Storm. The bar pays tribute to the locals that have been lost at sea with pictures on the wall. Atmosphere is great.

We had a great time at The Crow's nest. Great fun with locals at the bar, Keno. Had a reservation for a nights stay. Bar tab and room included in one tab. : ) Def will be back.

I just met her, but I felt like I was coming home. I waited for my friend to arrive & a couple bar seats to open up, and there were about two dozen people who came in after me while the wait was predicted to be an hour since most had just been seated, so they left. I wish they waited because it did clear up after about 30-40 minutes, but it was hard to predict on a Thursday at 7:30pm during a random downpour. I would encourage anyone to try The Burn, and to wait if needed. It's updated nicely, a bit cozy yet spacious when you're seated. Jess, our bartender, is also very welcoming and hospitable. I ordered a Gold Rush: ghost tequila, cointreau, pineapple, jalapeño & lime; I recall telling my friend, "this is exactly how I wish all my drinks tasted." I ordered the meatballs appetizer, and they got the haddock sandwich. The fries were excellent, and the meatballs were great. My friend loved their sandwich, fresh local haddock of course. Jess helped me make my decision between 3 options and it was perfect for my tastes and appetite of the evening. gold rush 10/10 meatballs 10/10 The Burn has excellent food & service, an elevated casual vibe, and warm, welcoming service. We ordered: lobster roll, cioppino, fried clams and fried calamari duo platter The cioppino was our favorite part given how it includes so much and so many varieties of seafood in it. It's definitely too big for one, and it'd be your whole meal for two. Having some savory broth hit the spot after we were sweating a lot from being outside. The fried clams and calamari was a bit confusing. We saw the fried clams on the menu and was intrigued by it. The server recommended us getting the duo platter. We're not sure how that would be different than getting the fried clams and fried calamari separately as appetizers. The batter overall wasn't light and airy enough. It was a bit The clams were a bit of a letdown. It wasn't as sweet and juicy as I'd like. Multiple pieces also tasted muddy. Calamari wasn't special either. The batter was too thick on many pieces that I didn't want to eat much. Lobster roll was alright. It came with big chunks of lobster meat, but flavorwise nothing super outstanding. FYI their soft drinks come from a fountain. My coke didn't taste too watery at least.

When they say the best breakfast in Gloucester, it's not an exaggeration! The couple that owns the Inn/Cafe are very hospitable and welcoming people. I've been visiting for the past 15+ years and every stay and meal has always been exceptional. Additionally, the staff they hire and employ is equally committed. It is truly a five-star operation. We were recently up in the area visiting Gloucester and Rockport. As always, one of those mornings meant we had to stop at Atlantis Oceanfront Cafe! It is a MUST. I almost hate letting this gem/secret out. It is the best place for breakfast with the very best view. It is post-card perfect. Your window table overlooks the rocks+water and you can visually see and hear the waves crashing against the rocks. It doesn't get much more picturesque or scenic than that! While the menu has changed a bit since my last visit, the quality has not. The breakfast portions are very generous and everything is of the highest quality. Our favorite is the eggs Benedict. Those perfectly poached eggs resting on top of those bakery-quality English muffins. The tender Canadian bacon. The perfect amount of creamy, perfectly seasoned hollandaise sauce. The side of tender and perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes. It doesn't get any better than that in my book! Another favorite of mine is their GIANT Fresh Blueberry Pancakes. They remind me greatly of every childhood trip to the Atlantis and Gloucester. I've always told my family if I had to have one last breakfast, let's hope Atlantis Cafe is in season! I am not joking either! Service is always top priority. Friendly and expeditious. The kitchen is open to the dining room and their culinary takes true pride in every plate they put out. If you're looking for the best breakfast with the best view in Gloucester, Atlantis Oceanfront is the place. I did notice the secret has gotten out as of late! We did have a short 15-minute wait this last visit. Parking can also be challenging given the lot size and guest/staff vehicles parked for the Inn. The patience is worth the reward! Best Breakfast in Gloucester. Period. Wonderful, Involved Owners.
