We were cruising the Massachusetts coast on our way to a wedding and someone said "let's go to Gloucester" for lobster! So we did. Locals directed our five-some to the Beauport and also suggested to make a Rez. We did and were lucky. It was packed, but we were able to sit on the patio on a beautiful sunny day. Lobster rolls, salads, croquettes, fish sandwiches, local beer. All just great. We even got bombarded by hungry seagulls. Well we didn't but the table next door did. Excellent service and good conversation with the local servers. Come see for yourself, but make a Rez!

What is there not to love about this place? The outdoor deck gives you a view of the sunset overlooking the ocean. Food is delicious and the seafood is the absolute freshest. The first time I went, the server was very skillful, and created an experience I have grown to expect at very high end restaurants. The second time I went, the server was barely out of high school or lacked experience. Anytime I need a sure venue for a great dinner, I will return here. I took one star off because the first time I went, there was cross contamination with the oysters and cilantro, which I am allergic to. One small spec of Cilantro was enough to immediately make me sick and I had to leave. I did feel the cilantro and removed it from my mouth but because it was on an oyster, I had already slurped and bit into it. I don't really feel like it's anyone's fault but it happened. I didn't tell anyone because I felt it would ruin the night but it was noticeable when I was not eating or drinking any longer because I was sick and debating whether I should go to a hospital or not. Yes, the server knew I was allergic. Oh well.

This is an absolutely beautiful property, and the views are stunning. The staff were over the top friendly and helpful. Every where you sat there were terrific views. The bar was centrally located and quite large. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We definitely want to go back.

Beautiful hotel on waters edge. You over look the famous pole walk/ run in the gloucester inlet. Our food was amazing. The lobster bisque should have been called lob. Chunk bisque! The lobster salad sandwich was hot and the perfect amount of butter. The atmosphere was crowded but you never felt you were on top of another table and you could easily have a conversation! The entire hotel is beautiful and the next time we are there we will go exploring the facilities.

A spectacular local gem in the coastal city of Gloucester on Cape Ann. My beloved and I spent Valentine's Day at this elegant hotel where our experience was fulfilled with an incredibly chic room coupled with a nautical vibe and a gorgeous balcony ocean front view. The Beauport Hotel Gloucester was the perfect getaway while offering the peak Cape Ann experience offering the most romantic ambiance, impeccable service & exquisite food.

Great place to stay in this area. Was off season so very reasonable price wise and a true luxury experience. Nightly turn down service with chocolate. Full service restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Food was good, service was good. Just a great experience. Spent a full week and didn't want to leave!

Had a bridal brunch here with great views and good service. I liked the buffet choices with lox and bagels alongside eggs. Our server was very hospitable and shared local anecdotes and events with us . Will certainly come back if I'm the area.

Quintessential New England coastal hotel with charm and comfort. Friendly vibe, nice accommodations, good bar but restaurant was only fair.

When they say the best breakfast in Gloucester, it's not an exaggeration! The couple that owns the Inn/Cafe are very hospitable and welcoming people. I've been visiting for the past 15+ years and every stay and meal has always been exceptional. Additionally, the staff they hire and employ is equally committed. It is truly a five-star operation. We were recently up in the area visiting Gloucester and Rockport. As always, one of those mornings meant we had to stop at Atlantis Oceanfront Cafe! It is a MUST. I almost hate letting this gem/secret out. It is the best place for breakfast with the very best view. It is post-card perfect. Your window table overlooks the rocks+water and you can visually see and hear the waves crashing against the rocks. It doesn't get much more picturesque or scenic than that! While the menu has changed a bit since my last visit, the quality has not. The breakfast portions are very generous and everything is of the highest quality. Our favorite is the eggs Benedict. Those perfectly poached eggs resting on top of those bakery-quality English muffins. The tender Canadian bacon. The perfect amount of creamy, perfectly seasoned hollandaise sauce. The side of tender and perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes. It doesn't get any better than that in my book! Another favorite of mine is their GIANT Fresh Blueberry Pancakes. They remind me greatly of every childhood trip to the Atlantis and Gloucester. I've always told my family if I had to have one last breakfast, let's hope Atlantis Cafe is in season! I am not joking either! Service is always top priority. Friendly and expeditious. The kitchen is open to the dining room and their culinary takes true pride in every plate they put out. If you're looking for the best breakfast with the best view in Gloucester, Atlantis Oceanfront is the place. I did notice the secret has gotten out as of late! We did have a short 15-minute wait this last visit. Parking can also be challenging given the lot size and guest/staff vehicles parked for the Inn. The patience is worth the reward! Best Breakfast in Gloucester. Period. Wonderful, Involved Owners.

They pulled some tables and chairs together to fit us all in a row. The setting and ambiance is very diner like with the address of the great ocean view. The menu was only one page but had all the essentials for a great breakfast. The waitress was quick off the mark to grab our drink orders. The coffee nice a hot, good cup of joe. 5/5 Fish cakes and eggs - I wanted to try something unique and they had this spectacular dish on menu. The fish cakes contained fresh chunks of fish and was seasoned just right. It wasn't too salty so went well with the spinach. The home fries were good and eggs over easy were done perfectly. The soft egg yolk broke and oozed just fine over the fish cakes. Definitely will come back again for breakfast when in the area.

We had a view from the second floor across the street to Gloucester Bay and the famous mariners statue. Downtown is a short walk in one direction, and the bridge that is seen on Wicked Tuna a short walk in the opposite direction. There is a fabulous waterfront park a short distance away with beautiful views for a hike. We did not use our car during the visit. Since they had availability, we were taken on a tour and were able to choose our room. Everything was in working order, with the room very large and comfortable. We stayed over Wednesday night and the evening "sing was directly below our room. I was reminded for some reason to call and catch up with my sweat lodge hippy quaker sister and see how she was doing (just fine thanks). I am sure it was our imagination, but the following morning we heard something scurrying across the roof. My wide asked if I thought it was the famous muffin bunny. I checked the door, and there was the muffin basket. We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn, and in Gloucester. If you visit the Inn, and are staying on the second floor, pack light as the stairway is a bit steep.

When we arrived, the door was locked, directing guests to use the info in their text or email to access their room, or to call the phone number on the door for 24/7 service. I hadn't received check-in info via text or email. When I called the number, it went directly to voicemail twice. Fortunately, a current guest of the hotel let me follow him in, and a housekeeper was able to get me the information I needed to access our room. It was two hours and twenty minutes past check-in time when the text arrived with check-in information. When I replied it would have been nice to have the check-in info prior the check-in time, or the phone answered, the person who replied said they were doing laundry out back and did not get the call. Another couple was experience the same issue as I attempted to check-in, so I believe this was not a one-off problem. If they're not going to have a lobby and front desk, I think they really need to have someone actually answer the phone and/or reply quickly. Our King Oceanfront room was on the second floor, leading onto the deck that seats thirty. We were the only ones using the deck, fabulous for watching the sunrise. but I would not have loved looking out at thirty people using it, between us and our ocean view, during a busier time of the season. I'd recommend getting a room on the third floor for the view and to avoid hearing people above walking. On our second night, guests were in the adjacent room and it felt like they were in the room with us, we could hear their television and every word they said. The walls are thin. The bed was very firm and the pillows are large and extremely firm. We found it very uncomfortable. I was very excited to stay here; I grew up in Rockport, going to Front Beach with my grandmother, and looked forward to being at this location and checking out the new hotel. We'll try a different place next time we visit.
