I came here for a baby shower. It was in the "River Suite" room and I couldn't believe how small the room was! There was not a lot of guests and you still could not move around without bumping into somebody. It was uncomfortably small. The bathrooms were awkwardly located *IN* the room, rather than off to the side like most other venues similar to this one. The room was decorated nicely, but the shock from the small size was overwhelming. The food also left a lot to be desired. It was buffet-style, as most of these events are with the usual breakfast items: scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, etc. All was bland and needed seasoning. Bacon was over cooked. My favorite part was the waffle bar where I put chocolate shavings, whip cream and maple syrup on my (also bland/dryish) waffle. With the food being mediocre and the room size being awkwardly small, can't say I'd recommend using this place...

Summer Tuesdays are my favorite! Party on the patio events are always so much fun. Live music, great drinks, & the food is always amazing. Perfect night out during the week to meet friends after work and enjoy the waterfront views and great variety of bands. My favorite thing to get is the strawberry salad with grilled chicken - it is hands down the best salad I have ever had and I am so sad the restaurant isn't open anymore all year round so I can get it... also the bartenders make some killer drinks two weeks in a row I went and I was hooked on the watermelon margaritas . They even made it spicy for me which was also a big bonus. Summer is still here go book a Tuesday

I just had my wedding here this past Sunday. Danversport and their staff made it EVERYTHING I dreamed it would be. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, the wait staff was great. So was my coordinator, Nancy. I got compliments from guests that this was some of the best wedding food they've ever had. (As many know, sometimes food at weddings are very hit or miss) and there's 2 things people remember: the food and the reception music/vibe. Danversport hit everything out of the park. No issues were brought to my or my matron/best man's attention which says a lot. One thing I am particularly impressed and grateful for is their level of expertise and professionalism. Often the couple is running around so much with everyone vying for your attention. While it's awesome and fun it's alot. Often brides and grooms don't get to eat. Well Nancy and the Danversport staff made sure that was not the case for me. They made sure we got time to eat our food, & skillfully redirected people who tried to walk up to us when we sat down to eat without simply warding them off or offending anyone. They just pointed them to the photo booth or the bar or something else. It was impressive. Members of our wedding party told us we're the first bride and groom they've ever seen that are their whole entire and even got a slice of their cake. All I had to do was drop off my favors and describe what I wanted and they executed it to a T. I had no worries. And thoroughly enjoyed every second of my special day. This was amazing for a pandemic wedding that was postponed from last year. They handled 140+ guests wonderfully. For all this, there was a set price with no hidden fees, extra costs, no surprises whatsoever afterwards. I actually came in well under budget because of their straight forward pricing and explanations. Danversport Events, I can't thank you & your staff enough. You helped give me my dream wedding, even after I had to postpone it a whole year. So easy to work with. I can not recommend this venue enough for your wedding, baby shower, prom, whatever occasion. If you want a classy memorable event, Danversport Yacht Club is the place to do it.

The food is tasty American fare with an emphasis on steak, prime rib is the signature dish. Fresh salad bar, freshly baked bread that you cut for yourself along with cheese at the far end. There is a cheerful fire in a big fireplace in the main dining room. The waitstaff are personable and friendly. They don't hover but they do check in periodically to make sure you have everything you need. We never felt rushed and we almost closed the place down. So grateful to our server. Really nice ambiance and we will be back soon.

We recently went for my sister's birthday while I was in town. The building is starting to look a bit rundown (note the missing windows above the main entrance) and there is quite a bit of staining on the ceiling, apparently from water leaks. The wait staff was great, and we all like the salad bar and the bread and cheese that you cut yourself. The entrees, however, were disappointing. The meat on three of our four orders was overcooked (my nephew's medium rare steak was burned and charred on the outside), and three of the four sides (steamed vegetables and rice) were served ice cold. I ordered the baked scallop and steak combo and the scallops were delicious, but my medium steak was well done, and my vegetables were cold. By the time they brought out replacement vegetables and rice, we were already almost halfway through our meals. I used to love coming here when I was younger when the wait staff dressed in overalls and hats like train engineers. This place definitely needs a makeover to get it back to the fine dining experience it used to be.

Someone that works there had walked past us several times, and opened the door. We wandered in, and she said the restaurant was in the basement. When we left, we saw a sign for Cellar. Not knowing the restaurant was named the Cellar, the sign wasn't clear/meaningful. Anyway, we got there eventually. The decor was pretty nice (definitely more bar than restaurant). We chose a table in a quiet corner, which was beneficial and not. The wait staff was very friendly, but we were a bit out of sight out of mind for them. All the food was great, and the cocktail was expertly made, exceeding expectations. They have popovers as the table accoutrements, which are a personal favorite of mine! As mentioned above, I'd consider this a (speakeasy decor) bar with food options, that would be a solid social/meet up spot, with great drinks.

She and much of my family really like this place and rave about it, but my overall first impression was definitely a mixed bag. My mom made the reservation for Saturday at 4:45pm in the dining room. We arrived a little early, so she showed me around the beautifully renovated building. When we checked in with someone, they redirected us to the bar area downstairs as they were holding a private event in the main dining area. Okay, not a big deal to us. However I could understand if someone else might get a little annoyed at being told they had to go to the bar area when they specifically asked for the dining room on their reservation. I have to say that I do love the downstairs bar area, it's classy and has a vintage speakeasy vibe. We were quickly greeted by one of the guys working the bar who was super nice and did a great job. For a drink I started with their version of an espresso martini, which was a good start to the food experience and gave me high hopes. They brought us out some popovers which to me were just okay. For an appetizer we got some buffalo chicken dip, which was quite delicious. For dinner my mom got a Caesar salad (which I tried a little bit of and thought was good) and a flatbread pizza that was on special. I decided to be a little bougie and went with the braised short ribs, and I regret to say that the dish fell flat for me. The short rib did come apart okay when I stuck my fork in it, but it was kind of chewy, bland and overall really didn't have much flavor. The menu also states that the short rib is served with broccolini (which is a milder, sweeter version of the green vegetable) but it came with regular plain broccoli instead, which I was also quite honestly disappointed by. With all that being said the polenta was my favorite thing on the plate. I'm a little conflicted. The place is beautiful and the staff is so nice. But with how much it was hyped up to me, I was a little let down. I'm kind of thinking that I should've went with another dish? I really want to truly love this place, so I'm sure I'll be back with family at some point to give them another chance.
