We ordered couple of cheeseburgers, chicken and a garden burger with fries on the side. Wait time was long; there were no other customers - still they took almost 15-20 mins to get us the food. We planned to dine in but then later picked it up as take out due to the delay. Coming to the burgers - loved the food. Nothing to complain about. Really enjoyed the freshly made hot burgers. Shame we couldn't enjoy it while sitting there than from a moving car. Small place with a handful of tables. Very casual ambiance. Looks like a take out place than a dine in. The overpriced BLT I ordered took 15 minutes despite no other customers, was on small thin bread (think the cheapest sandwich bread you'd find at Walmart), and appeared to be slapped together by a third grader using as little amount of ingredients as possible. Dry and unsatisfying. I had to eat elsewhere afterwards as I was still quite hungry. Heading Easy t from the coast and swung through the drive-thru for a quick bite. Cheeseburger was one of the best ever. The edges were crispy and crunchy and delicious! Tater tots were good but a bit cold. We also ordered the fish and chips which came out piping hot... so they probably just finished the burger/tots before that was done. I've read some of the 1 star reviews and I agree that the wait time is ridiculous, in fact the first time we hit the drive-thru we left. We attempted a couple days later and decided to wait. We order two milk shakes and the wait seemed to be about 15-20 minutes because there was a vehicle in front of us. I think if they had one more person working on food and drinks to help out the person in the window maybe that would bring people back. Our shake was absolutely delicious and the girl at the window was polite and sweet. We will be back but will remember to bring our patience. I would love to see this place serve customers quicker but maybe it's not feasible for the owners to pay for another employee. Had the basic burger deluxe and fries and thought both were very good. Burger was tasty and the toppings were very flavorful . Fries were in abundance and cooked properly , . I got a "Philly Steak Sandwich" and it was a dry sandwich with steak on a hot dog bun. I guess I'm one of the odd people that assumes a steak sandwich with "Philly" in the name would have cheese and not be a kid's portion. I've never seen any "Philly" sandwich without cheese. Their burgers are okay, the Philly Steak Sandwich was not good (unless you like a sandwich with just steak and bread), shakes are good with real ice cream, and the service was good, but my nephew and I were laughing at the sizes of the sandwiches when we got the order. Looked like a kid's meal. Prices were really high for what we got. Also the mac & cheese bites looked like frozen cheap ones from the grocery store with Kraft mac & cheese inside, but I'll let that slide since I've never had a good mac & cheese bite anywhere. They're always either flavorless, too dry, or no cheese, or any one of those. Looking at other reviews it looks like they've been serving the same food for years, so I guess they stay in business from people that don't know any better. Two years ago a menu photo shows the Philly Steak Sandwich at $9.17. Honestly it's not worth $5.17. I believe now it's $13. Seems like a good location and it would be easy to fix the food to match the prices, but apparently they don't want or need to. The service was fantastic, everything was clean, and the food was good. I got a fish sandwich and onion rings. The sandwich was only fish, lettuce, and mayo on a bun. It was good, but nothing super noteworthy. The onion rings were much better and I would order them again if I returned. Very crispy and light! My friend got the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and hash brown. He said the food was similar to McDonald's but "fresh and actually good... actually it was way better than McDonald's". I was really impressed with how clean the bathroom was and how great it smelled! There is a pac man arcade game inside, so bring quarters to play! Great little stop on our way into Long Beach. Nearby gas station too. Friendly service with lots to choose from on their menu, all with good portion sizes. Unique options like burritos and tacos too that you wouldn't necessarily expect from a place like this. My mother in law ordered this and said it was good. The burger was exactly you would expect from a long time standing burger joint. It did not disappoint. Lots of milkshake options too. My friends took me here since I just moved here and I had yet to visit one of these burger hut places. I must say, I was pretty impressed! The burger was cooked perfectly - juicy, it looked cooked through but it was not well done! I tend to prefer thin cut fries so I was curious to try these meatier ones...I liked them! A large menu for such a small little restaurant that has been around for ever. They have reasonable prices and fast service. I had a burger basket with onion rings and a Mountain Dew. The burger tasted like a burger with fresh garnishes and the onion rings were amazing. A slightly heavier batter but very tasty and the onions were cooked perfectly. The Mountain Dew tasted like full Mountain Dew out of a can and was a win as well. Stopping for a simple burger meal for lunch and getting a full meal with the finer points made for a nice lunch. My family was driving home from a game and I forgot to pick up food for my son I showed up at the crows nest 2 min before they closed . I took a picture once I came home and opened the bag because it was almost comedically empty. I wondered if they had given me a kid sized portion. I felt like I was being punked. I called them and checked, and they only sell tots in one size, and usually it is weighed about 6 ounces. I was so annoyed by the size of the order, that I counted how many tots came in it. 18. Eighteen. That means that I paid $.25 PER tater tot. AS IN, if the dollar store offered you FOUR tater tots for a dollar, you'd think it was a joke. That was really frustrating, it being so expensive just doesn't sit right with me. Based on the value, I probably won't be going there again.
