We just remodeled our Kitchen and one of our projects was to open a wall to make a counter. When we opened the wall we found out that the gas pipe line that our gas range is connected to is in the middle of the wall. We were disappointed thinking now we cannot move forward and that gas line is a worry being it is in the middle of the wall. We called around and Crown pluming was our first call and they scheduled for an assessment visit right away and the owner Walter was even the one to come. He came the same day and they got it done the next day. He even came in again once we were connecting our new gas range. Their price was also the most affordable and competitive. I had a major plumbing problem. Plunged the clogged toilet and everything came back out in shower. I called Crown Plumbing and explained my problem to Walter. He was very polite and understood my urgency. Walter and his crew were at my house early the next morning. I thought it was going to be an easy fix like snaking it but it wasn't. They had to repair and replace some pipes under the house. They were able to finish the repairs that same day and even installed a new toilet for me even though I hadn't scheduled it. The technicians were very professional and polite. They explained everything in detail and were very careful and clean. I would highly recommend Crown Plumbing as the best in the business and very reasonably priced!! They could have snaked it and temporarily fixed it like the previous plumbers but they saved me a lot of problems and money in the long run. read more

The plumbing techs that came out, Juve and Carlos, were good, no real issue with them.  Just be sure to ask a lot of questions upfront before scheduling an appointment.  I didn't, and it cost me $$.  I didn't know that trips to the hardware store were on me.  I didn't know that their van might not be stocked with common items such as a toilet valve or P-trap which would cause them to take go on multiple hardware runs.  I did share my plans with the front office over email, but those pics were not shared with the techs so they didn't know any detail about the project in front of them until they looked at it in person.  What would be helpful is if the office/owner could share what goes into the hourly rate so that I can be prepared.  Also, my email to them said that I required P-traps, so I would have assumed the techs would have them in their van, but that was not the case.  Don't assume and be sure before scheduling.  Techs 4.5 stars, front office 1 star. read more

I've had Walter do a few residential repairs for me over the past several years. This was the first time since he joined with Crown Plumbing. As always, Walter relentlessly puts his customers first and ensures they are satisfied with the work being performed. I had an emergency hot water failure happen ~1 month ago. He showed up the next morning and had a replacement unit installed, and brought everything up to code. After a hiccup due to a manufacturer's defect on the unit (not Crown Plumbing's fault at all!), he was able to use his local connections ensure the supplier sent a technician out the next day to rectify at no cost. I wish I could give Crown Plumbing a five star review. I like giving people five star reviews. But on this occasion I'm afraid it's a one star at best. Thanks to Alex the plumber from Crown Plumbing who told my home warranty company that my broken toilet was pre-existing. Get this! He I actually told them that I told him it was a pre-existing condition. Think about that for a minute...I'm making a warranty claim. His company lost the business and my family gets jacked around for three weeks because they declined my claim. Was the job too hard for you Alex or was it my questions? I submitted a home inspection report two weeks ago that showed there were no pre-existing conditions for any of the plumbing in the house before we bought the home warranty. So now they approved my claim. I insisted the not send Crown again. I'm choosing my own plumber that appreciates customer service. Sorry to everyone else at Crown. read more

OMG, just had the best plumbing experience ever! Richard Harris from Crown Plumbing in Carmichael saves the day. We noticed a ceiling leak in our kitchen and called our home warranty company immediately. The first plumber came out and said he could not fix the leak and said he was not experienced enough with our "Toto" toilet and recommended Crown Plumbing. We never heard another word from the home warranty folks so my husband called them and we lucked out with Richard. He was here on time as promised, he was super knowledgeable and he fixed the leak. No more worrying about opening up our ceiling and looking for a broken pipe. Richard was patient with our sometimes annoying rescue poodle as the poodle wanted to see what was going on constantly. I highly recommend Crown Plumbing and specifically Richard for all your plumbing needs. We will definitely be calling him back when our 30 year old water heater needs replacing. read more

Posting for my father, the customer, who is currently fixing our ducts. The estimator told us we would have water by the end of the day, but what was supposed to be a 2-day job turned into 5 days, with holes still in our walls over the weekend until the following Monday. We had our water back on with one toilet, one shower and the kitchen sink on the third day (it's a two bathroom house); if we had been quoted the amount of time appropriately, we could have made arrangements for everyone living here to be elsewhere with running water. Second, upon inspection of completed work, a 10 year old found a leak shooting out of a pipe after it has already been inspected. Third, despite numerous reminders and warnings of caution to try and avoid the air ducts in the attic and then requests to put them back where they originally were, neither were done. We're currently having to replace two flex duct tubes because after the cold weather set in, we realized two out of four bedrooms weren't receiving heat... no one since the pipe replacement workers have been up there, and the flex ducts leading to those two rooms are completely severed; we've been heating our attic instead of the bedrooms due to sloppy work and destruction of our air system parts. Thankfully, pipe replacements shouldn't happen more than once or twice in a lifetime. I would never refer someone to them. read more

Although I liked Walter and his crew it has took some time to fully complete the project. During the initial project, they explained everything and were always available if we had any questions. When we had some issues that we needed addressed we had a hard time getting them back out and when they did come out not all of our items were addressed. This led to multiple visits and months to complete. I would recommend them if you are looking for a plumbing company but I suggest you make sure everything is 100% completed before you cut that last check. read more

I had an issue in our hallway bathroom the spicket going into the tub was busted and Alex had to replace the whole unit and come to find out the pipe in the wall was stripped so the new fixture would not attached so he had to go into the wall in my sons closet to replace the pipe, very professional and polite and totally smart about what he was doing he tried a couple different things before cutting into our wall so I feel like he was knowledgeable and he was very friendly. Crown plumbing replaced all the water piping in our home to replace the faulty Kitec pipes and fittings. They came in and recommended a different type of piping than the copper pipe as recommended by the folks who sent them out, Repipe Specialists, Inc. Crown's recommendation saved us from having to sawcut and jackhammer out the kitchen floor tile, a huge savings. The crew and foreman did a fantastic job covering our furniture and clothing from dust and dirt, they also vacuumed up all loose debris at the end of each day. The project entailed removal of a couple of exterior stucco sections and numerous holes cut into the sheetrock walls. When the repipe job was done they patched the stucco and drywall and did a excellent job matching the existing texture, all I had to do was a bit of touch-up painting. I was in the construction business for over forty years and a licensed general contractor for twenty. I can't recommend Crown highly enough, they deserve at least ten stars. If you need any plumbing done you really can't go wrong by calling Walter and getting a crew from Crown Plumbing out to your home, it doesn't get any better. RAY read more
