Five stars, no question…read more Landmark Bar and Grill was the spot when I was at Rowan University. Friday and Saturday nights, there was never even a debate; this is where you went with your boys to unwind, grab some drinks, and just enjoy the atmosphere. I even had professors telling us it "wasn't healthy" or whatever, but that didn't stop us. If anything, it made those nights even more memorable. After a long week of classes, Landmark was the perfect place to let loose, laugh, and just be in the moment. The vibe was always on point; energetic, social, and exactly what a college bar should be. Whether it was catching up, meeting new people, or just hanging out, it consistently delivered. It's one of those places that becomes part of your college experience, and honestly, some of my best memories from Rowan happened right there. I will certainly carry these stories for life.

I did not think this place would be so good but it's found its way up on my top 5 list in southern NJ. Tastefully thought out menu that does everything so well, and it's not even that expensive!

I have been coming here since they first opened, and it has always been one of my favorite spots. Over the years, the food has consistently been great and I've always had good experiences with the service, which makes yesterday especially disappointing. From the beginning, it seemed like our server had far too many tables and was overwhelmed with the workload. We initially ordered our appetizers, and when she brought them out, we told her we were ready to put in our entrées. She said okay, but then did not return to our table for another 20 minutes to actually take our order. We were left sitting there waiting despite already telling her we were ready to order. I completely understand that restaurants get busy and that servers can be stretched thin. However, the lack of attention to our table made the entire experience frustrating, especially at a restaurant where I've had such consistently good service in the past. Unfortunately, the food was also not up to the quality I've come to expect from Cinder Bar. To make matters worse, after eating there, I became extremely sick with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I normally wouldn't let one bad experience erase years of positive ones, but between the extremely slow service, disappointing food, and becoming sick afterward, this experience was bad enough that I no longer feel comfortable returning. It's genuinely disappointing because Cinder Bar has been one of my favorite restaurants since they opened, and I have recommended it to others many times. I really hope management looks into both the staffing situation and what may have happened with the food that day, because yesterday's experience was completely different from the Cinder Bar I've known and enjoyed for years.

My wife and I split Philly Cheeseburger Sliders, a side Caesar Salad, and chicken tenders. The tenders were so hot and crispy. Awesome. And, our server Mia was the best! Fast and attentive. A+++! 10/10! No notes

I'd give Chickie's & Pete's a solid 4 to 5 stars…read more I used to stop in here after classes at Rowan University whenever I had enough time to actually sit down and enjoy a meal. It was always a great spot to grab a quick bite that was still really tasty. The food hits the mark, especially when you're coming off a long day of classes and just want something satisfying without a long wait. Another thing I appreciated is that while it's definitely casual food, it didn't feel like I was completely wrecking my nutrition every time I ate there. You can find options that are filling without being overly heavy, which made it an easy go-to during the week. Overall, it's just a reliable, convenient place with good food and a laid-back atmosphere. Perfect for students or anyone looking for a quick, solid meal.

They have a bar and dj which seemed to draw in a nice mixed crowd. They made me a mocktail because I don't drink and it was yummy. The chicken parm was also good. The bad: both appetizers I ordered were disgustingly underwhelming. The cheesesteak fries were just bland and flavorless piled high with dry meat and cold cheese ... a waste of calories and money. The chicken tenders were flavored horribly and paired with a weird sauce. Im guessing if you're drunk you won't notice the terrible food. The waiter was nice but not attentive, he didn't notice I didn't eat anything and he didn't offer to replace or remove the items from the bill. I would suggest they limit the menu to less items that they can prepare well. If you enjoy drinks and bar food give it a try. Me Ill just stick with Lascalas across the street.

They always seem to have live music, karaoke etc. which is nice, but it's also probably too loud for a lot of people. There's pretty limited seating that is away from the loud music. The first thing that hit me when I entered this small, quaint little establishment was I felt like I was transported back to Mayberry of the 50's and 60's. Breakfast is served all day, and my western omelette with home fries, English muffins and crusty scrapple were delicious with my coffee and tomato juice. I guess the atmosphere lends to the friendliness of the patrons, who seem like neighbors you've known forever, especially the young toddler in a high chair I was playing peek a boo with around the partition that separated our booths. The little gem is a very inexpensive treat.

They offered sushi, pasta, sandwiches, flatbreads, seafood dishes, and more. I wasn't sure what kind of fusion concept they were going for. I usually like to order what a restaurant is known for or specializes in, but since that wasn't clear, I decided to go with a burger since that's usually hard to mess up. Unfortunately, my burger arrived cold, dry, and bland. It tasted like it had been sitting for quite a while before being served. The fries were hot and fresh, so I ate those and took the burger home to see if I could salvage it. On a positive note, the restaurant was clean, and it wasn't very crowded when we visited. However, the food quality left a lot to be desired, and I don't plan on returning.

When he saw my wife and I come in with kids in tow, he immediately entertained them while we had a chance to scope out the menu. As we ordered, he offered helpful tweaks - that seems like too much, if you have picky eaters we can do a grilled cheese, etc. He suggested the best sides and even ran to get the drinks filled at the fountain from the other side of the restaurant. 10/10 service that would have me back even if they served garbage. Fortunately, the food matched the service. My only complaint was that my burger was so juicy it squirted onto my shirt when I took a bite. That said, I'd sacrifice a shirt every time I can here if it meant I'd be treated to a perfectly juicy, expertly cooked patty. The sides were great too, led by the truffle fries. They had the perfect amount of Parmesan, finely grated so you didn't feel like you were just eating chunks of cheese, and the truffle oil was delicious. We also tried the Mac and cheese bites, which were tasty but a bit small if you want to split with more than two. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll find an excuse to get here and have another burger.

Because of the cold, I kept it simple and ordered soup--and it was very, very good. Hot, comforting, and done right. No gimmicks. Just solid food when you need it most.
