The bartenders here are very pleasant and have always provided good service. The drinks are also pretty reasonable. If you are on a budget, Sundays are the best days to come here as they have discounted per hour games. read more

Showed up at the counter, waited maybe 5 mins for the lady to at least make eye contact. Nothing. And I'm not the type to beg for attention. A simple "I'll be with you in a minute, thanks!" would have sufficed. Walked out and will never go back. Terrible service. I guess I'll be going elsewhere. Surprised this place is still in business. read more

I've always noticed this place as I'm driving and Friday was my first chance to check it out. I got there about 4pm and it was quiet and empty. For awhile it was just me and my coworkers (about 15 of us). This place is pretty big. The main room has lots of pool tables, and there are two smaller rooms with tables as well. The bar is in the middle of the main room and there's plenty of counter space. We got to take advantage of happy hour so I ordered a Stella hard cider (really good) and a Long Island. Long Island was strong lol. I don't know if it cost money to play the pool or for how long you can have the tables. Some of my co workers got there around 3 so when I got there we had 2 tables. More people started coming around 5. They have a juke box so the music was going as well. They don't serve food BUT they let you bring outside food in which is cool because there's lots of restaurants around and cross the street (nations, taqueria, sushi, Mc Donald's, Poke Don...) This is a great place for a group activity or even a date night. It's very relaxed and fun, I finally left at 8 but my coworkers stayed longer then that read more

Been here a handful of times after work on Tuesday's & Wednesday's. We love Jacqueline! She is super nice & makes great drinks!

Super busy for Thursday night. Looked like only had 2 bartenders working. Space looked bigger online in the pictures than in person. Got bored with just pool. Overall a nice hangout spot, for a simple night out. read more

Crown Billards - Pool tables - Bars Near Me - San Ramon, California

First time and last time at this place!!! My husband found this place online. He was looking for 9 foot pool tables and we drove all the way from Tracy last night. We got there and I noticed that the bartenders were wearing masks and only some patrons were wearing masks. All the patrons at the bar were not which is expected. All the people at the tables were not which is also expected. I was hoping all the pool players would be wearing masks and they weren't. My husband asked how do we get the balls to play pool. The lady bartender said they just have to hold a CC so we agreed. She took my CC and checked both of our IDs. Although the pool tables seem to be at a certain distance to one another when you first walking in, they actually weren't when my husband started playing. I noticed that he kept walking near the patrons on the table next to us who were not wearing masks. After an hour we left, I went up to the bar and I asked for my CC back as we were returning the balls. The other lady bartender could not find my card because she assumed the wrong spelling of my name and once she found it said that it was $13.57. I told the bartender that I was not aware of the price as I was not told by the other bartender about the price. The bartender then continues to say you obviously can't play for free and I responded to her and told her that I know we can't play for free, but I would have like to be told how much it was when I gave my CC for the balls. I was not happy with the customer service I received at the end of the night and how this place is operating during the pandemic. I will not be coming back to this establishment. read more

I don't play pool regularly. We had a pool table growing up, but I'm not exactly skilled. I was on a pub a crawl that included a stop and game or two of pool. When we arrived ( no, we weren't drunk and rowdy yet- it was only our second stop) there was a line of people that were pretty serious about their pool game. Also pretty serious in general. The bartender was very welcoming and friendly. She got our drinks and set us up at our tables. We had a really great time. I'm very appreciative of how accommodating and helpful the staff were, because it's not always easy to be the newcomers in a spot like this. We'd definitely choose to come here again. They had a nice delicious beer selection, and excellent service. Our tables were off to the right side, separated from the main area. We were relieved not be mixed in with the super competitive pool peeps. If you love, like, or are just curious about playing pool, be sure to check this place out. And pay no mind to the 40 year old virgins giving you the death stare when you walk in. Once you start playing, they won't matter at all. The employees are very aware and manage this place really well! read more

Its a cool place to play pool but the lady who was rude and denied service for no reason to my friend was so weird and annoying. This has happened on Friday night Oct 14/22 between 09:00 - 09:30 PM. read more

I've been playing pool here whenever I'm in town since 2010, and I love this place!! plenty of pool tables, good ambiance, and the service has always been great when I've been there! last time I was in the bartender, Natalia, was super friendly and checked in on us several times, even though it was pretty busy! I'll definitely be back soon. read more

I would like to update my review and say thank you to the management of this club. Recently I went back and noticed great service being provided by the new staff/bartenders. I really appreciate the changes and awesome environment in which we can again enjoy our time. Thank you!!! read more

Great spot to grab beers and shoot some pool. Not overly crowded, very spacious. Kind staff and plenty of TVs for sports.

Karen approved! I honestly wasn't expecting much. Dirty looking pool hall/ sausage fest environment. However, the bartenders are generally nice and welcoming. The crowd isn't too douchey which is an achievement for a pool hall. The drinks are cheap and strong. The patio is nice for a breath of fresh air/view. I honestly had a good time here, 8/10 Karen's would approve. read more

Standard pool hall..good amount of pool tables, this made for no wait time. The cocktails made at the bar were tasty. Jukebox music had large variety. Had a good time with my date read more

Big fan. I lived in San Ramon, and only went twice. Right before I was leaving SR, I went twice again. Should've visited you more in my 10 years. You'll be forever in my memory. However, pls clean up the bathroom; both men and women's smell like a gas station's bathroom. read more

We chose this place for our after wedding party, since it is one of the few places open after 11pm in San Ramon. We had previously stopped by to check it out and we met the owner who was super nice. Great place to have a drink and shoot some billiards! read more

Very nice bartenders, friendly patrons and good music. Happy hour ends at 6pm on the weekdays. Very affordable drinks, pool tables and tons of TVs. read more

Arrived around 830pm on a Sunday night and was surprised to see how lively the place was. All of their tables were occupied so we settled into the bar as we waited for a table to clear up. It seemed like there was only one employee managing the place. Making drinks and getting everyone settled to their tables. Service was good. Great spot if you want to chat up with friends at the bar, play some Billards, or both. read more

While they have quite a few tables, they were taken up by a league. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. I wasn't even aware that there was such a thing as a billiards league, but it felt very much like I was deja vuing with times spent trying to go bowling on league night. We ordered a few rounds at the bar, trying to make a hole in the tightly packed group of tables in the "lounge" section. It seemed they were all pushed aside to make room for something else, but unsure what. Played a few rounds once we got a table. All in all had an okay time, but wasn't really what I was looking for that night. will shoot for something a little more upscale next time. read more

Pretty darn gross, dark and dank and smelly. Loads of cigarette butts outside the front door... looks like. Nobody ever cleans or airs out the place...smells like a locker room.. read more

Pretty busy on a Tuesday night. Almost all the tables were taken. Looks like they get quite a few local and regular customers. Average drink prices. TVs for sports viewing. Attentive bartenders. About 5 beer choices on tap. One of the liveliest places in San Ramon on a school night. read more

I had a company event here. We brought our own grub and then had some drinks at the bar combo'd with some pool action. Looks like a good place, they had some Wii Sports in the corner as well. read more

We enjoy stopping her after work for a few drinks sometimes. The bartenders are always relaxed and friendly. There's multiple TVs in case you want to watch any spots. Then, of course, there's pool to play! We love taking over the jukebox for a few songs, but the last time we were there we were disappointed that they changed the jukebox and it was no longer connected to the smartphone apps. When we mentioned it to the bartender, she confirmed it wasn't but gave us $5 to play a few songs, which was really cool. It's a low key place - nothing fancy, but that's the point! You come here to relax and have some simple drinks or beers. Sometimes there's interesting people watching as some that come to play pool are quite unique! I remember one time we played pool next to a guy in overalls - and I mean ONLY overalls! read more

If you live in the East Bay and you don't play pool here, where you at? Excellent group of degenerates to waste some years of your life with. Bartenders are all no bullshit, straight shooters, and there's a lot of really really good players. read more

My son came here last Thursday, Dec. 23rd. A group of kids about 20-22 years old. No masks were worn, no IDs were checked and no vaccine cards were checked (not sure if that is required since it is not a restaurant). Turns out one kid had Covid and it has been spread to numerous kids and families and who knows how many now have it. Wish this place would be more careful! read more

Came here the other night with a friend. This was the first time we've been to a pool hall and I would say it was a pretty good experience for us. Bartenders were super friendly and I appreciated how well maintained the place was. The drinks were a little inconsistent when it came to how much alcohol was in each drink, but still were good. My only complaint is that we are still in a pandemic and no one was wearing masks here. This did make it a little uncomfy, so we made sure to keep our masks on. Other than than we had a great night. read more

Awesome bartenders always showing love. Been here almost everyday for a 2 years they show mad love. Highly recommend

Crown Billiards always has great service! I always enjoy coming here not just for the pool, but for the drinks as well. The bartenders are the best because I always receive the best tasting drinks here. It is in a very convenient location, as there is a dance club (Shbooms) next door and several food options in close proximity. Crown Billiards is close to where I live too. A con is that they do not serve food here. But they allow you to bring outside food (just not drinks for an obvious reason). read more

Crown is a dope, chill place . Good vibes and a bunch of pool tables . The service from the bartenders are great, especially from Jackie! She was superb and super friendly , and attended to us whenever we needed . The drinks are priced really well , and there's a jukebox to play music . read more

Stay far away they double charge you and the bartender Desire was rude as hell to me and my friend.

The place is nice but the bartender ( I believe her name is Angie ) is very rude and unfriendly. We were here to have a good time and spend money and because she is so rude we didn't even want to order drinks at the bar or spend money here. The place should really invest in friendly bartenders. read more

I come here a few times a month and it's a great place to go hang out, play some pool, and grab some drinks 10/10

I have played pool for over 10 years and been many pool places such as Emeryville, San Mateo, Mountain View, Sunnyvale and Campbell. I have never had such bad experience as I had in Crown Billiard (San Ramon). Last weekend we (my friend and I) walked in and waited for more than 5 minutes without anyone greeting us. The Bartender ignored and avoided us even though we stood just right in front of her and tried to talk to her. We felt so not welcomed and left finally. I would never go there again and won't recommend it to any of my friends. That's the horrible (worst) experience I ever had. read more

Bartender wasn't rude but could've been perceived that way due to lack of awareness. She was really nice just needs to be trained, took like 20 minutes to get my drink at a fairly empty bar. Rest of the place was super great! read more

Welcome to the Boys Club! The hubby and I arrived around 6:15p on a Thursday night and the after work/pre-league boys were in full swing. One of the bartenders and I were the only women in the place until about an hour later. While listening to the table next to us talk about plumbing and construction jobs, I couldn't help but think this scene was missing something. And then, it happened. Some one chose Journey on the jukebox. Perfect. Good clean spot for pool, not a great selection of beers on tap, but it sufficed. They don't shut the place down for league play which was nice, just choose a table in the back. The tables have been well used and the felt is all but worn off, so play was pretty slick. $16 for two beers and about 75 minutes of play. read more

Great place to play pool. There are a couple 7-ft coin-op Diamond tables, ~8 9-ft Brunswicks with tight pockets, and 5 9-ft Olhausens with looser pockets in the back. All the equipment is well-maintained and there's decent spacing between the tables. They have leagues or tournaments most nights of the week and I've never had to wait for a table even with the other stuff going on. There's a good number of serious players but there's always a younger, social crowd too. Get a $75 pre-paid players card to play for $3.75/hr if you plan to frequent this place, otherwise it's ~$12/hr. read more

Crown Billards - 10:30pm sunday night... - Bars Near Me - San Ramon, California

This review reflects my experience from Tuesday March 11th (technically Wednesday the 12th), whoever the female bartender is was drunk as hell and rude as hell to me and the other patrons. I usually come here and get served by Lidia who is amazing. I would usually give this place a 5 star review, but this girl's horrible service prompted me to leave a one star review. Management - get rid of this bartender please, she's terrible. She wouldn't acknowledge me for 10 minutes, the manager had to serve me. The rest of the bartenders are great! read more

I'll keep this quick: Pros: - Cheap beer - Friendly staff - You won't feel compelled to punch most patrons in the face -Cheap tables Really no negatives to this place. I've been dozens of times and always have a good time. Every now and then you have to wait on a friday, but that is rare. They do a really good job maintaining the place. Its refreshing to see a business run like this place! read more

Probably the nicest casual pool hall I've been to in the Bay Area (and definitely beats the lame ones we've got around Fremont). Crown Billiards has a large number of tables, and while we still had a bit of wait on a Sunday evening, it wasn't anything to complain about. Plenty of entertainment options including foosball, Wii Sports, and of course a fully-stocked bar can easily occupy your time. There are plenty of tables for lounging at, as well. This is definitely a cool spot for a casual get-together with friends on an evening where you don't feel like doing much, but still feel like hanging out someplace. Prices were super reasonable -- just 99 cents for the hour on Sunday when we played. read more

A fairly low key place to go, Crown Billiards is my favorite place to shoot pool. The facilities are well taken care of and the staff is very nice. The prices for drinks aren't bad, and even though I wish the price for playing was lower, it's still not so bad. One of the best things about Crown is that there's plenty of seating for observers or rests in between shots and they do have $1.00 pool specials some days. The website is super informative and lets you know practically everything needed to know. read more
