Girls Night Out - kicking it old school Carlos Mencia
Cheryl M.

It's been awhile since I've been to Tommy T's Comedy Club but I guess I'm making up for it in 2026! I remember this location being a Hungry Hunter back in the day...ahem, went there for a college formal...memories. :D Attended a variety of shows in the last couple of months: :: 3/15/2026 - Cindy Kaza: Psychic Medium - Travel Channel's Dead Files, The Holzer Files, Portals to Hell among other well-known paranormal shows. Entertaining...no one "visited" me or my friend that day! Darn! :: 5/2/2026 - Carlos Mencia - comedian (Mind of Mencia) - had our table of 4 laughing the whole time...a non-PC zone where people can laugh without getting scoffed at or cancelled! If you're easily offended, comedy...just...ain't...for...you! Yup, I said it! :P :: 5/14/26 Micro Mania Midget Wrestling - entertaining for sure. It's amazing when you discover you have friends that are either appalled or OMG I want to go! I had to mention I'm NOT the one hosting the event AND supporting diversity! ;D if you haven't been, you gotta go once! People watching is also very entertaining! Small but convenient venue. 2 drink or food item minimum. Food is good and enjoyed the burger and fries! Friends had the club sandwich and wings with no complaints. Staff friendly and efficient. Ticket pricing reasonable with no hidden fees. 15% gratuity added to your food bill but show some love and give a bit extra for the servers/staff who are hustling. Plenty of free lot parking unless you pay extra for VIP which allows you to avoid the lines and walk in. I'd definitely return for other events and highly recommend a visit ...too bad I missed Sunday Drag Brunch! Next time...

Showed up because me and my lady love the comedy Alfred Robles makes. Cool seats in vip area, still need to go see regular area. Service was fantastic (15%gratuity) already in included when you pay tab . Fries were amazing! Of course Alfred Robles was amazing (3rd time seeing him). Ambiance is cool, do makes cool mixes before show starts. Cocktails were good, I drank a Stella but only one domestic beer (coors). Cool place , but maybe a few more beers in my opinion? Eh I don't drink too much anyway 4.9/5 definitely recommend

Quinn Dale show

Bought tickets about a month in advance for the sold out show for Quinn Dale. Since I knew that it was a sold out show I arrived 30 minutes before the doors opened in order to get a parking spot and a decent seat. The line wrapped around the parking lot when the doors opened. You can skip the line if you pay for the vip parking. After checking in at the front desk you're able to find a general admission seat. The interior of the club is bigger than expected. The food menu is simple burgers, nachos, chicken tenders and fries. My burger and fries were good. Because I got in early and ordered early the food and drinks came out fast. The server for my section was hard to track down for additional orders. The aesthetics of the Tommy T's is nice. Main room has high ceilings so the ventilation is good for a comedy club.. the PA sound system is excellent with all patrons being able to hear. Quinn Dale was so funny but the MC and the opening act was weak. Tommy T's has some excellent comedians scheduled for this year.

Had a blast here! Hadn't been here since I don't know when. Food was good and my server was hella chill. Came on a Thursday night and all the comedians were good, I did t know I needed those laughs! Good vibes here.

So my hubby and I were gifted tickets to see Zainab Johnson and we were not going to sleep on the chance to see her! We got there at 7 for the 7:45 show and there was plenty of parking. We were sat and greeted immediately by our amazing server Brandon! He got us started with Martinis (Hella dirty ), a Caesar Salad and the Tommy Burger. That satisfied our food and drink minimum. But we got another round and dessert. The music prior to the comics was great. The crowd was cool. The comics were hilarious. Such a great date night. Tommy T's never disappoints!

Love Tommy T's, my girlfriend treated me for my Birthday. We saw Guy Torrey hella funny. But the night would not be complete without the fabulous Brandon the Bartender. He made my night. Thanks for the awesome Cosmo's my favorite.

So after I made my last review, one of the owners reached out to apologize and make it right. I was offered VIP tickets to a show of my choice. I selected funny Marco :) This time the experience was very different. The waiter was very attentive, the food was good (chicken and fries) the drinks were good, we had some margaritas. The comedians were funny and we enjoyed the show. The seats were kind of cramped but still doable. There's still an automatic tip of 15% but at least this time I didn't mind paying it. I'd return for sure and sure appreciate the owner reaching out to make it right :)

Michelada and juice with a champagne cameo

We came here for an R&B brunch and I like that they have their own parking lot and the place itself is pretty spacious and nice. The place was pretty packed and the entertainment and the hostesses were amazing. We definitely made sure we had a good time there as the music was so good. Now the food and the service were not up to par. Or the drinks. Maybe they were short staffed, but the server did not come around, especially once we got our food. The mimosas were a 50/50 ratio, so you know they went skimpy on the champagne. I've always had a healthy 70/30, sometimes 90/10 for any mimosa I've had. All we could taste was juice and at $16 a piece, it was not worth it. The food menu was too limited, so we decided just to order a bunch of items to share. Chicken and waffles 3/5 Loaded tater tots: 4/5 Strawberry waffles: 3/5 Fried chicken: 3/5 The event itself was 5/5 but the service and food was 3/5 and since this review is for Tommy T's, this is my honest review.

Waiting for the show !

So... BRANDON rocks! Sat down with us to get our order, and told our table we'd get a treat ! Hey, now that's a wonderful service , personalized and everything ! Too bad the main guy is not performing --- hope he's okay! But I know the comedian replacing him will do a superb job! We drove all the way from Napa to be entertained and enjoy a chill night at this club! We come here when we can on the weekends Thanks Brandon ... thanks for being cool with us here ! BrANdoN Brandon ... BRANDON!!!

the parking is very small recommend carpool with your group, The audio was perfect for comedy. getting the vip is a hit miss ordeal . we arrived an hour early and the parking was full. if you can get a VIP Parking take it. the food was delicious, great assortment options. I did not try any bar drinks this time ,but the lemonade was great. when buying food remember you in a slow service location but it arrives hot.

Ask the Community - Tommy T's Comedy Club

What does VIP give you? VIP link on their website is down... curious what the $10 extra bucks gives... if you can reserve seats, please explain how?

Reserved seats and close to the stage to see the comedian.

Are there Covid restrictions?

When I was there everything was as it is now pretty much everywhere. No masks required and no proof of vaccine was asked for. Many of the tables are close together so not too much distancing.

We originally had tickets to his show in May, but it got rescheduled to July. We were so excited to see him. I've been to the improv a long time ago, so I didn't remember what it was like, but my boyfriend has never been so it was kind of like our first time. Just a heads up, it is first come, first serve type of seating. The show started at 8 & we showed up a bit after 7 I believe? We were seated on the lower level at a table with another couple, they really try to squeeze everyone in there. There is a rule, where you gotta order a couple items per ticket I believe, not sure how strict that rule is to be honest. We ordered a Shirley temple, the rum affair, fried pickles and sliders which all came out to almost $70. So, get ready to spend some money. Regardless, we both enjoyed our night. The couple we sat with was friendly, service was nice, drinks and food were fine, we can't complain. Also, the show was so much fun! After the show, we bought merch and even got to meet Ron Taylor and take a picture with him! Overall, such a fun date night! Would totally recommend!

Comedy (great comedians) and Tragedy (horrible venue, service, and customer experience). San Jose Improv y'all have the worst customer facing policies and worse customer service. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred but there was a note on invoice to call the box office if there were questions for exceptions *(they even include the phone number). We were sick and could not attend and wanted to give our tickets to friends so I started calling and leaving messages at the venue 3 days before event. I left several vms that were never returned. We missed the show and could not give our tickets to friends. The only positive was that from reading other reviews IF our friends had gone they would have seen a wonderful comedian but would have to suffer the bad food and service at the place. The 'AIT players' group comprises of a mix of seasoned performers, instructors and folks who have just mastered the art at the workshops held at the theatre. The performances were spontaneous, quirky and innovative and while some of the joked didn't land as well, we felt that the performers were true to the original "improv" art form and did not try to fallback to a standard template or deviate from any suggestions provided by the audience. I had the chance to volunteer as a part of a quick skit and had a blast. It's worthy of a callout that the show comprised of close to 6 different short-skits/ games within a span of 75 minutes and that speaks volumes about the hard work put up by these folks. As a group, we had the chance to hangout with the crew after the show and talk more about their experiences which seemed to be a refreshing change from some of the other shows I've been to. Jeff Ringgold, one of the instructors of the workshop was also present at the show and an absolute delight to speak to. Other details and callouts - There's sufficient street parking along with reserved parking right behind the theatre. - While there isn't a full bar inside the theatre, they do serve beer, wine, water and non-alcoholic drinks. - The theatre is a fairly small and private space but big enough to host large groups of people. - Each show is close to 75 minutes inclusive of a 5-10 minute break.

Brick House was AMAZING, each actress had so much wit and fire in her that both our stomachs ached from laughter. In the middle of the show, I looked around to spot them in the audience and found them cackling in a crowd of grins and hoots. I have to credit not just the cast, but also our ENTHUSIASTIC and hilarious host as well as the energetic crowd. I'll definitely drag more people with me next time, bring out those extra chairs!!! Come early and mingle with the crowd a bit. And if you have some time to spare, check out the thrift store right next to the theatre!
