Service was fine. Food, not so much. Not at all like it was described. Tasted ok but I'd probably go somewhere else if I had the option

If you're looking for a calm oasis after the chaos of security, this lounge is your golden…read moreticket--spacious, organized, and serving food that'll make you forget you're in an airport. The moment we cleared security, it felt like we stumbled upon a traveller's haven. The lounge is right after security, which is a blessing when you just want to drop your bags and relax. The space is enormous, with ample seating, and it never felt cramped even with a steady flow of guests. Whether you're a solo traveller or wrangling a group, there's a spot for everyone. Now, let's talk food and drinks, because that's where this lounge truly soars. The menu was extensive (and yes, I regret not snapping photos for proof!), but every dish we tried was delicious. We kicked things off with a tomato basil soup that was so good it could make you forget about your flight delays. For mains, the lemon pepper fish, chicken in curry, rice, fresh greens, and assorted desserts hit the spot beautifully--comfort food done right. Drinks are a treat too: I enjoyed a Great Lakes beer, which is part of their complimentary selection, though if you want to indulge in the finer spirits, be prepared to pay a little extra. A small note for fellow travellers: wait times can stretch during rush hours. We had to scan a QR code to join the waitlist, but honestly, the reception staff run the place like a well-oiled machine. From managing the line to the smooth entry process, everything was systematic and stress-free--a rare sight in any airport. All in all, this lounge turned our layover into a mini vacation. Great food, an inviting atmosphere, and staff who know how to keep things moving make this spot worth every minute of the wait. As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait--and in this case, they come with curry, craft beer, and a comfy seat.

However, I see other people's photos and the interiors don't match either! I am currently flying international so I thought this was an international lounge. After I left the lounge, I discovered another Plaza Premium lounge near gate C31). So I asked the staff there. They said they were the official International lounge and I was in the Domestic lounge! So it appears Domestic and International departures have no security barrier between them, just the US departures have a secuirty barrier due to their advanced customs clearance at the Toronto airport. People using the lounge passes from credit cards are limited to 2 hours of use. You can pre-book your entry time if you wish for US$9/person. When you enter the lounge, you have to show your complimentary passes or purchase them. There is also a self-serve entry kiosk. The lounge looked clean. There are a few attendants picking up finished dishes and cleaning tables. We arrived at 07:00 with their breakfast service. There is plenty of options. There are 5 hot dishes (sausage, scrambled egg, potato wedges, baked beans, and egg burrito), oatmeal, salad (balsamic vinaigrette is available), cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, bakery items (bagel, bread, muffin), pop machine, and hot drinks machine. I like their milk hot chocolate. The latte was missing milk! The oatmeal is very watery and bland. There are 4 toppings but it didn't include brown sugar. The bar (for alcoholic beverages) opened before 08:00. All food and drinks are self-serve except for the alcohol. There are condiments. However, the condiment bottles/containers are with the food section, so i had to go back twice to put some pepper on my food; they don't have little pepper/salt packages. There are tables and counter seating for eating food, lounge chairs, etc. There is free WiFi. The lounge is wheelchair accessible. There are separate male/female washroom and they are wheelchair accessible. Review 2026-112

The second is from 9 pm till close. - This restaurant is a part of Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel. - It's the prettiest Moxies I have ever been to. After work, I take backroads home. I take Attwell Drive often. At the corner of this street and Reading Court, I always see the Residence Inn. I didn't know that there was this Moxies at Sandman Signature Toronto Hotel further down until I did a search for Moxies near my workplace. I love happy hour deals these days. I came here after work last Wednesday to check out this eatery. It's at the end of a secluded cul de sac. I actually want to stay at Sandman because it was so beautiful and quiet when I was there. There was plenty of parking. I backed into an available spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a cheerful female staffer. She led me to a booth near the corridor to the hotel from the restaurant. It was also where the washrooms were. I was near a couple of women with a baby. The baby was sweet and was quiet. It was my lucky day! This Moxies does have happy hour between 2 pm and 5 pm. I got here just after 3 pm. Perfect! The interior is gorgeous. It's the prettiest Moxies that I have ever dined in. I'd come back just to be in such a beautiful setting. I liked the separate room with the Blue Jays game on. There were a couple of guys watching the game there. Another special detail about this Moxies is that there's a test kitchen menu. It was my first time seeing it at any Moxies. My server was Joe. He was polite and nice. I got these items: - Hibiscus refresher - Dry ribs - Miso tuna crispy rice The hibiscus refresher was a part of the test kitchen menu. I got the non-alcoholic version. It was delicious. The hibiscus was so good with lime and cinnamon flavours. You can add tequila, but I liked it the way that it was. When I lived in Winnipeg, my go-to order was dry ribs with whatever salad I was craving. I relived half of it by getting dry ribs. It was great having them again. They were meaty and yummy, with the perfect amount of seasoning and salt. I was happy! I didn't know what miso tuna crispy rice was. So, I had to order it. It's essentially sushi-like pieces. There were six pieces of perfectly crispy rice mini bricks topped with miso tuna and mayo. I loved the contrast between the crunchy rice and fresh tuna mixture. It was delightful having this appetizer. I needed a drink. The only downside was that my server didn't drop by until I was done with my appetizers. I ordered a Diet Coke when he did, which I got immediately. It was much needed and icy! I was way too full to get any dessert. I got the bill instead. I tipped and tapped. Done! I used the women's washroom before I left. It was super fancy. It had a seating area in the middle of all single stalls. Wow! I'd come back here simply to enjoy good food and drinks in the most gorgeous eatery. Such a wonderful gem of a find! (181)

Cover charged only to walk in to a nearly empty place (except 1 other party of 4) with music so loud you can't even hear the hostess and we are told we can only pay with cash and cards are not accepted (red flag) . We were optimistic and decided to make the best of it while we sat and waited. Our server brought over a menu for food drinks and hookah.. Then a handwritten stained pieces of folded notebook paper and crossed out words here and there, presenting it to us as the "currently availability hookah flavors" (red flag) . We still kept an open mind and began to place out orders. Every hookah food and drink order requested was "not available" or out of stock. We ask to see the manager, who walks in and tried to make a package deal to accommodate the lack of availability from all departments. Hungry ad realizing there is not much to eat, we ask for our cover money back to leave. We are approached by promoter who refuses to return our money and begins arguing with manager about lack of food or hookah flavors or drinks (red flag) . The unprofessional Promoter goes back to negotiate giving us back half but returns with 4 bouncers and forces us out of the place and curses at us upon us asking for our refund after he tells us he is not allowed to serve us hookah tobacco because the place is not licensed to do so , and continues to yell at us as we walk out the door . ( red flag confirmed) Great customer service guys . Excellent way to promote.

The space is split into two sections front and back with the bar/ vip section. It wasn't as busy when I arrived but nonetheless the vibes were great. The music wasn't too loud that you cannot maintain a conversation. They have the regular shisha flavours like double apple, mint etc. They also have other special flavours like island breeze which cost $32/shisha. They do charge for extra coal, the shisha comes well prepared and ready to be smoked. It was a smooth, flavourful & enjoyable experience. Now one thing I have to note, their menus is fixed, you cannot convince them to make any altercation to any item on the list nor request items (drinks) which aren't on the menu. That leads me to my next point, you cannot order sides unless you order a main. I personally don't understand why. One may not necessarily want to have a full meal late into the night but nonetheless they would not budge. The weekends are busy, reservation's recommended and they follow a strict dress code. I do believe they are setting a precedent and catering to a demographic as more of an upscale Lounge. The service was great, server was attentive but also apologetic as she was bound to a strict menu. Worth checking out for the vibes.

I got the Power bowl and my partner got the dill pickle poutine. Generally good portion size and what felt like overall good value for money. The cocktails were very reasonably priced. It's also a cute, cozy atmosphere, and really nice for a hotel attached restaurant. Particularly when it seems to be non chain and many steps above the usual Denny's restaurant. Cons: A few on this visit. Floors felt really sticky in parts. It's a wood floor and I'm not sure if perhaps they used the wrong cleaner for the purpose, as I've had a similar thing happen to my apartment floor. Server said they would clean up the table. Bartender came up after 5 minutes waiting in the seats by the entrance. Asked if we had a seat, told him we were told to wait, then he immediately escorted us to a table. There was a little confusion between the server and bartender as they tried to tend to us sort of twice in the beginning. The place was about 80-90% full, and it looked like it was they were the only two working the front of house at the time, so I could understand if there was a bit of a problem. Looked like they were hurrying. Drinks arrived in a reasonable time though. Some miscommunication when bringing the food - the bartender was bringing it over and it was loud. He started auctioning off the food, so couldn't hear him, so we said, "what?" He replied, "oh, wrong table" and then sort of stormed off. Looked like they tried to sort out the confusion, and after about 5 minutes the server came to us to clairfy and explained what happened. Said the power bowl dish went to someone else but the person that got it, their order was being made so it'd be a small delay. She offered the 15% discount on food that diamond tier RSVP members at the Sandman hotel get. She was very apologetic about the incident. The bartender came at the end of the meal to provide the bill. They gave me the POS and then just left the table. MIght have been a one-off experience, the last review was six months ago. I would say the server was mostly good at remaining her composure. She seemed slightly flustered at the very beginning but things were busy. The bartender seemed to have gone a bit rogue and was a bit aloof to us. A single page menu had about 3 items off the menu, marked with white out. Could use a bit of an update. I'd probably check how busy it is before possibly ordering there again, opting for a delivery option instead.
