This is definitely a place to grab a cheap bite in the city. Getting seated and served was a bit of a challenge and took some time. The spicy margarita was not very good at all. The chicken cheddar salad was okay. The price is nice but you get what you pay for.
I've been here a couple times but that was a while ago, it's my first time being back in about 3 years and I was verydissaapointed. I think they have changed from being a good restaurant and bar to being just a good bar. The place feels a lot smaller when it's packed, the experience was a bit uncomfortable the seats by the bar are not ideal as there's no coat hooks anywhere and the seats don't have a back to put your jacket on there's also no purse hook so your forced to put your bag on the floor or use the little table space you have. The music is very loud and it was old turned down later on. The service was rather slow we were given menus and ordered drinks then had to wait again and we were not checked on for a while once we ordered apps it became a waiting game again. They were busy but however staff were socializing and I find this slowed things down. The food was not as good as I've had previously and they got my order wrong. I wanted the chrizo with rigatoni, the waiter clearly the chicken I pre cooked . The oerogies were good but a bit bland overall . More of a place to drink with friends or grab a quick snack
Solid bar. Good atmosphere and service had a good pace. My mates and I sat at a round table which was great for chatting. Food was really tasty, I got the chicken quesadillas. Only problem was the portions were a little small, but for the price it's not bad. Overall, Great place for drinks, music was banging, and atmosphere was high.
Ambiance: Restaurant is located in a very busy street. It has a typical bar feel, the outside seating is very spacious and vibrant. They are dog friendly in the patio and we're happy to provide water for our dog. Staff were very friendly and good with the service. Food: We had one of the best loaded nachos and pasta here. Same goes with the fish and chips and chicken wrap. I was surprised to see such low rating for this place. We in fact went there as the wait for another restaurant was too long. This place was a pleasant surprise. Also, all the menu items are priced really good for the area. I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu. Parking: Given this place is in downtown, parking is a pain. We parked on a street right next to this place.
The food here is pretty cheap. Got The Works burger. The burger was decent. The patty could be moister but was still OK. The bun was slightly toasted, which was nice, though the lettuce was not in great shape. The fries were slightly dry but reasonably fresh.
I really liked this place . Atmosphere is very cool with vibe of 2000's. Staff is pretty chill and friendly . Prices are very affordable. Food is not perfect but quite delicious. Totally gonna back to try their burgers
This was the first bar I went to in Toronto when I first came here in 2016. I'm glad there was no line to wait in last night like there was that first time here six years ago. It was just how I remembered it - solid drinks and inexpensive food. Service especially for food delivery could be a little slow at times but since I was in good company, I very rarely noticed it. Special thank you and shoutout to our waitress last night Morgan. She was fantastic with her food and drink recommendations (the Sour Key was really good) and she put up with my party for the better part of over four hours. We really appreciated her and can't say enough good things. Overall, fun way to end my trip to Canada.
I was a little wary of this place, as the low prices always attract a long lineup up the sidewalk, and the music is always booming out onto the streets. We were able to try out this place in some relative peace and quiet on a rainy weekday night. There was no lineup due to the rain. The music was still waaaay too loud and would have given me a headache, so we found a quieter area outside on the patio under a large umbrella to avoid the noise. With two of the deterrents avoided, we could now focus on the food. The menu prices are really good. Everything hovers around $7 for a dish, which is unthinkable in this day and age for a meal. I had the 1lb of salt and pepper wings and stole some fries from my partner's burger plate. The salt and pepper wings were deep fried to a crisp but stayed juicy inside. Good balance of salt to pepper ratio. It came with a choice of dip which I bypassed. Fries were also good, crispy and thin. I feel like we got the best of the possible experiences. A 'slow' night without crowds combined with a good server at the right table and good food. Would be up to trying more dishes in the future under the right circumstances.
Literally sitting at the table while I'm writing this: the service here is terrible and the food is mediocre at best. My water glass had lipstick on it from the last person who used it, and when I asked for a new glass I never got one. We had to ask the bartender for fresh waters. Our waittress was inattentive and did not bring us silverware or napkins; again we had to ask the bar for those. The food came out fast but was SO disappointing. I got the Works 2.0 burger which was dry and hastily made. The cheese was barely melted. My boyfriend got the "famous" beef dip, which was also dry and sad-looking. The poutine was just okay. Also, they don't take Amex or Debit cards. Don't come here.
Hungry? Budgetarily challenged? Oh, this is the place for you. The menu boasts their food is $5.95ea all day, everyday....but, is it worth it? My group of 4 hungry people wrongfully assumed that due to the small price, the portions would also be small. SO VERY WRONG. We ordered Warehouse Poutine, Beet & Goat Cheese Salad, West Coast Fish Tacos, Warehouse Crispy Mac N Cheese and Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap. I swear I'm not messing with you; each plate was only $5.95. Clearly, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! How did they taste? Tasted just as good as they looked! Everyone enjoyed their food and were barely able to finish! We were all surprised at the quality and portions of the food given the low price point. The fries could be better, but that's about the harshest critique I can give. The service was OK. The restaurant was completely packed and the MMVAs were on when we were there so, a few employees were on the patio dancing on tables to try to see the show. It was slow to get food, but not slow to get drinks! There were no craft beers, but Warehouse offers lots of cocktails and wine. There is lots of seating indoors and out. Décor is super casual, no frills. Their budget doesn't go into décor, it goes into providing tasty and giant portions to the hungry people of Queen Street. A great casual place to dine on a small budget and a big appetite!
I came here my last night in Toronto & was pleasantly surprised. All food was 5.95 which was such a great deal & drinks are definitely reasonably priced. I started with a double warehouse margarita. I really enjoyed it especially since it had a corona in it. I believe one is 11 and making it a double is 13. I had two & they definitely did the job LOL! Then I had fingers & fries it was a decent amount of food for only 5.95 & they were pretty good too. I also had the quesadilla it was okay. My bf on the other had had the baja tacos and those were amazing, I would recommend those for sure, I just wish they had more fish in them but again for 5.95 they were great. We enjoyed them so much we ordered them again. He also ended up getting lemon pepper wings he said they were good. The music was so good they really had the jams I had to Shazam a few songs! Overall I would recommend this place if you want to get cheap food & drinks while listening to music.
I came here last night for a quick meal before an event. Everything on the food menu is under $6 which is great, but definitely not the best food. For the price, the quality and amount of food is not great. I can easily go somewhere else and pay $2-5 more an item and get much better food (& have a better overall time). The service is horrible. The person who seated us was rude and made it seem like we inconvenienced him for having him seat us. The waitress was nicer, but did not check on us or our food which took 45 MINUTES to come out (we ordered 3 dishes...). I know the appearance doesn't affect how a restaurant is, but the waitress wore short shorts, a tiny tank top which her chest was almost falling out of. Honestly, I get the food is cheap and they feel the need the dress more provocatively to get better tips, but I don't think that's an appropriate way to dress when serving food to customers. When we tipped, the machine automatically puts the tips starting at 20%. Probably to give their staff a reasonable tip for the cheap bill. The ONLY reason this doesn't get 1 star is because I did like the Chili Corn Queso Dip & the view/location is great & convenient.
I've been to warehouse in Montreal before, but the menu and interior atmosphere is the exact same everywhere. I have to give credit to the owners for staying so consistently on brand. The biggest draw is the $6 everything food menu. The idea is that some items are much more worth it than others, and that's how profit margins can get balanced out (along with drinks). We had the veggie burger + onion rings (best by far), goat cheese and beet salad (much smaller and with fewer toppings than previous visits), mac and cheese (would not get again), and fish tacos (very small, tastes decent but would not get again). For the price and ability to try so many different items, this place is definitely worth it. I was disappointed in how much smaller the salad was this time, but the burgers are at least very worth getting. Interior is loud and dark, but servers are very friendly. The food is pretty slow to come out but there are lots of TVs to watch old music videos on. Overall fun and inexpensive place that I would return to.
This was a 'We've hit the wall and need to sit down' choice, and loved it. We sat at the bar, had really lovely and fun conversations with the bartender and host. It was Happy Hour (so yayy us) which was 50% the entire menu. Yummm!! read more

Solid bar. Good atmosphere and service had a good pace. My mates and I sat at a round table which was great for chatting. Food was really tasty, I got the chicken quesadillas. Warehouse never misses! This is one of my most visited places to eat on Queen Street West and I have no complaints! Portion sizes are great for the price ($5.95 all food), view of the CN Tower is amazing on the patio, and the servers are always kind and enthusiastic. I remember the lines used to be huge on busy days but when I visited yesterday we walked right in and got a spot on the patio. It is first come first served so that could be a downside, as well as only cash and credit but depends on the person. It's also a short walk from the Eaton Centre, 7 minutes down Queen Street so if you're looking for a quick bite before or after a shopping trip this is a great choice. I am a big fan of their coronarita cocktails, the drink prices are pretty good compared to other patios and delicious. My friend and I ordered the calamari plate with cucumber + pita to start, I ordered the veggie burger with salad on the side and my friend ordered the sun-dried tomato penne pasta. As you can see the portion sizes are great- a burger with a side (choice of soup, salad, or french fries) for $5.95 is the best you can get on a patio downtown in my books. If you're concerned about social distancing - all servers wear masks/face shields, the tables are quite far from each other and customers are required to wear masks anywhere but the table. read more

Going downtown can be such a strain on your wallet, so this definitely makes for a good alternative! All the food is $5.95, and you can do add-ons for $1-2 like adding more meat or bread to it. The drinks are also really good! My friend got the captain crunch shot ($4.95) and I got the rum lemonade($6.95). Both were amazing! Drinks weren't watered down at all which is always a good sign! Went late night at around 1 AM and place was pretty busy, but luckily no line up. Service was fast, and staff were friendly. Music was also on point! Overall, good vibes, and I'll for sure be back! read more

Yo wtf. Im doing married solo dudes day out and im trying to get drunk. Enter this bar. Now as a 40 year old man, venturing out and drinking alone can appear sad. I get it. But i just need a buzz to complete my dudes day. Come in, great music to my era. Hip hop. Im like i did good here. Im waiting and waiting to be able to even ask for a beer. Mind you its 3 oclock on friday. Its empty. So eventually i gotta get NY on this bartender ton get my shit. Anyway got a beer. Drank it. Vibing to 90s hip hop. Bartender to his credit did ask if i wanted another. Mind you a bar space with 30 seats, 4 occupied. So i get another cause really, its hard to find a spot to solo drink wit ur era music and not crowded wit 20 sums. Anway i order wings. Another ordeal. I get them. No blue cheese. I ask for. They say additional charge. Like wtf. Anyway thats the six. Still waiting on my blue cheese and my glass is empty while i post this live action style. Edit--i just switched to a mojitio. My first impression as I walked into the restaurant: WOW this place must be good! It's so packed with people and there's always a line up! At $5.95 for all food items, I can see why it's always so busy. On a Wednesday night, I walked by the place and line was outside the door. I came back with a few friends Thursday around 430pm for some drinks and munchies, and luckily there was no wait but we got the last big table for 6. Immediately after seating, there was a line up out the door. Food: mediocre. I ordered their crispy chicken sandwich with a side of fries (I thought it was such a good deal because you also get the option of salad, fries or soup). But after the first bite, the chicken was so soooo dry and the breading seemed to be over cooked and hard to bite. My teeth were sore from eating the sandwich. I told our server that the meal was very dry and it needed more sauce, and I wasn't aware of what sauce came on it. It tasted like chipotle mayo or something similar so I requested it for my sandwich. Little did I know, it's an extra $1 to add sauce on it to make the meal less dry and more flavourful to eat. I asked the server about the extra charge because I thought since they barely added any sauce, adding more would be complimentary. Her response: "yeah, everything extra is at extra cost". Just the way she responded was very rude and she acted like we should have known. We also ordered their nachos which was alright, I enjoyed it more than my chicken sandwich. But it was definitely basic and lacking the cheese. I've also tried their: - calamari: very soggy to taste. It seemed like either it wasn't cooked long enough or it was sitting and reheated to serve?? - BBQ chicken pizza: tasted ok, but tasted like store bought pizza. - maple bacon potato skins: I totally thought these would come out like chips but it was more like a mini loaded baked potato. It didn't taste the greatest and was a tad dry, but it wasn't awful. - chili corn queso dip: I tried a bite from my friend who ordered this and it tasted quite good surprisingly! Because everything else tasted so mediocre, this actually had a nice flavour with the cheese blend. Service: we had two different servers who served us. I noticed the servers here gave off a bad attitude and were extremely slow. We had to catch their attention to order food after waiting for quite some time. We also had to request for water refills and even asked for our bills 3-4 times before receiving it. Atmosphere: good music but wayyyyy too loud! We had to literally yell at each other because we couldn't hear half the time. The restaurant was also jammed pack with tables close to each other so people kept bumping into my back when walking through a narrow path. Washrooms were also not very well maintained and dirty, but I guess that's because it's so busy and not enough staff to clean regularly. *18% service charge for groups 5+* read more
Our experience at the Queen St. Warehouse fell short of our expectations. Food/Drinks - 4/5 (considering price & portion) True, the El Furniture franchise is known for their cheap foods and pricey drinks. That being said, I would have expected their food to be at least comparable to their competitors. We ordered two of their brunch specials - the Breaky Burrito, and the Chorizo Hash. While both were decent in all fairness, and nothing was wrong with them per se, they were also a little underwhelming for food that was served after 40 minutes of wait. The drinks were a Hit or Miss. While the Caesar was delicious, the Brass Monkey (cocktail of beer and OJ,) was flat, watered down, and overall unimpressive. As mentioned before, the El Furniture franchise is known for their pricey drinks making up for the cheap foods. However, if the drinks are to command a certain price, they should be held to a certain standard. Service - 2/5 Our experience with the service was not the best. Perhaps because the Service Charge was already included in by default, we found the waitress to be quite inattentive, as the wait time for each request was too long for us to appreciate. Interestingly, the staff who brought us the food (which was not our waitress,) was more attentive and willing to help. He was able to provide us more service and information in a timely manner than our own waitress. If you're just looking for something very affordable and filling (minus the service), you could consider this place. read more

Came here on a busy Saturday afternoon and there was already a mini line-up. We waited about 15 mins before someone from the restaurant came out to check on the number of parties. As we didn't mind where to be seated, we got bumped up to the line. We ordered drinks and food. We waited and waited and waited, almost 15-20 mins after still no food arrived. Now, we understand that it was a busy Sat afternoon, but it became a concern if people got seated after us had their food before us. We did not order something crazy as it was only potato skin, the Union Street Noodle Salad, and a beef soft taco. The food were mediocre. The noodle salad consisted of egg noodles, with Spring Mixed greens on top and some chicken bits. The dressing was SALTY! It was supposed to be tamarind- soy sauce dressing, but all I could taste was soy sauce. I tried to eat the noodles together with the veggie and chicken, hoping that it would help with the saltiness but unfortunately the chicken bits were also salty and very overcooked. When we asked for the bill, that was not pleasant. We were told to give her 2 mins to clear out nearby tables and she would bring our bill, but that 2 mins turned to another 10-15 mins. We saw our waitress dancing and chit chatting with others near a computer. When our bill was finally here, she rounded up the changes without asking as I was paying cash. Overall, I will definitely not come back to this location even with their $6 menu. read more

Came on a rainy Monday evening and there was no line-ups! I ordered the Quinoa Green Apple Salad. For only $5.95, it was filling, had loads of avocado and quinoa, nice corn salsa on the side, fresh greens...and I would've loved it if it wasn't for the fact that it was dressed with the SALTIEST soy sauce that created a LARGE puddle in the bowl that soaked everything!! After taking the first few bites, I couldn't stomach it and my lips shrivelled from the saltiness! I informed the server and he was a gem for handling it professionally and got me a new salad pronto. The replacement salad no longer had the puddle of soy sauce, but the quinoa was still marinated in the same soy sauce, therefore it was still very salty. Otherwise, I enjoyed the dessert Mini Donuts which was fluffy warm and the toffee sauce was divine. I also got the Oatmeal Cookie shooter for $5.25 and it was STRONG and I loved the sweet alcoholic flavours. I dug the vibe and throwback music videos playing throughout the night too. I was in Toronto for the weekend for a convention when our group stumbled upon this place. It had such a nice relaxing vibe. Music was really good. Food was really good as well. Service is a bit slow but it was worth it. read more
Have come to this joint a few times since the summer. The food is pretty decent. Have had wings, chicken fingers and fries and braised beef quesadilla. For the price, you can eat and drink a fair bit. It's easy to over consume alcohol given that their cocktails are delicious! The place is always packed.. Any time of year, there's a line up just to get in. Patio is poppin' in the summertime. Seating inside is mildly uncomfortable as tables are cramped and stools without back support are quite low. Service is friendly. Music is great if you like old school hiphop/R'n'B. General atmosphere is chilled. read more

There's no other place on queen west I've being too so far that has this high of a bang-for-your-buck value. The honey garlic wings was substantial considering it's only five dollars! The wings are decent sized and cover in lots of yummy sauce, so that every bit was very enjoyable. Not the huge wings that tastes bland like some chain restaurants offer. There's always a huge line up outside and around the corners every time I pass by but I never knew what people were lining up for. Now I finally understand! We came on a extreme cold alert weekday at 4pm and were the second in line. Considering it's really loud inside and my friend and I could barely hear each other while shouting to each other in the face, I will never line up for this place again. But if anytime we do pass by and there's no line up, then it's definitely worth while visit. read more
Went here in the summer, and I've continued to go back multiple times. The main cons are that it's quite noisy, and there is almost always a line. The pros are cheap food and drinks, with pretty good quality (especially for the price). It's great for a late night quick meal! Service isn't terrible, but do not expect stellar service that is attentive, since they are so busy. We were seated on their patio since it was summer time when I went, and I had gotten the tacos which I enjoyed. My friend got the potato skins, which I don't think I would recommend since I've seen better potato skin options in other restaurants (though I guess I cant complain since this one is less than $6). However I've also tried their burger, poutine, quesadilla and enjoyed all of them! Will definitely be coming back over and over again read more

After years of wanting to try Warehouse, I finally made it! I've always stood in line but left after 10 minutes of waiting in the cold. When I arrived today, thankfully there was no line up. It's really loud as expected so be prepared to have conversations screaming over each other. The food was decent for $6. I got the mac n cheese which I actually enjoyed. We also got nachos which were okay and the fish tacos which were the most bland and tasteless tacos I've ever tasted. We also requested calamari but was told 10 minutes later that they didn't have any. Service wasn't the greatest but I guess you get what you pay for. I'd be open to coming back but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

3.5/5 Visited on a Sunday around 4:45 pm, expecting a huge line. Luckily it was manageable (we were a group of 5) and even managed to get a spot outside on the patio after waiting around 10 minutes. We were told the wait for food was around 40 minutes, but that didn't matter much as we were looking for a sit down spot anyways. Ordered the mac and cheese, beef brisket spaghetti, and then split the poutine with a friend. All were alright but nothing spectacular. I liked the hint of spicy on the mac and cheese, but wish it had a bit more of a saucy base. The spaghetti was your regular tomato sauce style pasta dish. The poutine had a decent portion of bacon and cheese curds, and fries were not too salty. At 4.95 per dish, you get what you pay for - and probably more. The portions are pretty filling (one friend ordered 3 and was stuffed afterward) and the menu has a good range of items. If the line is manageable I would definitely return for some budget eats. read more
It's a rare sight when I don't see a line outside of Warehouse for lunch or dinner. It's a great atmosphere for carefree drinks with friends. Food can't be beat for the price! Your typical pub food. Tacos were delicious, as were the chicken fingers and fries. My friends had the perogies which they thoroughly enjoyed, and the burgers I heard were great too. Service was quick and the waiter and waitresses were really nice and had great recommendations for drinks. If you're looking for a cheap, but good place to eat and catch up with friends over alcohol this is your place! The wait is worth it read more

Great Vibe. Awesome Drinks. A-OK food. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're entering into a new space. Super super chill vibes, I absolutely loved it. The food was okay, but nothing to brag about to be honest. I would only come back for their drinks and to hangout with friends, it's a great location for that!! read more
