We came here thinking it would be an upscale dining experience and were very disappointed. We paid $200 for some undercooked salmon with bland white sauce and over seared tuna with no taste. The shrimp cocktail was decent and the heirloom tomatoes caprese fine but those are easy. Really old golf club vibes, dark, dingy, and just generally not good. Save your money and go into Bend for something more modern. read more

Yikes! All I have to say is when we saw our old fashions on the servers tray looking like they came out of a slushie machine I knew the reviews I read before were spot on. Absolutely love this place. From the warm happy greeting when you enter and just a friendly professional when you leave. The hostess was cheerful and provided options of table location. The bartending were fun and provided great recommendations. The food was delicious. Stuffed chicken and pork chop were perfectly prepared. This is a must try if you are in area. Disappointed in the service and burger. We ordered the crab dip, which was nice (only with adding salt and pepper...at $29 for an app, the salt should be spot on, but it wasn't.) Clam chowder was 9/10, only with adding quite a bit of salt and pepper. Without the salt and pepper, it was a 3/10. My husband and I both got the burgers 2/10, I asked for well done. Mine still had pink inside, beyond that the fries were so bland. We added salt and pepper to the fries and it made them taste well. I told the waiter my burger still had pink and he acted surprised that I was even saying anything. The bun was un-toasted, dense and dry. He asked if I wanted it re-made, I reluctantly said yes. To my surprise, he brought me my same burger (just cooked a little longer), with the same bun, same toppings and same fries . When he brought it back, there were still raw specks all over the bun. This is a health code violation. I come from a family of chefs and restaurants and this is unacceptable. This is supposed to be a nice place, but unfortunately it lacks so much. The waiter had a slight defensiveness. Overall disappointed and would not come back. Charge those prices and I (and 90% of people) expect better. I didn't check their reviews before coming and that is my mistake. P.S. he let my husband take my burger, but didn't put the fries in there. My husband didn't like his burger either, hence why he only at half of it. The server didn't even box the fries, which were honestly the only decent thing on that plate (especially with salt and pepper). Out of necessity the server took off my burger and tried to give us a dessert complimentary, which he should have done, but you should never re-cook a touched food item a customer sends back. It just ruined our meal. Still costed about $157 with tip. I'm still hungry, and I won't be eating that undercooked burger that the kitchen handled multiple times. read more

We celebrated Mother's Day brunch here, and it such a nice time! The buffet-style service offered an array of delicious options that catered to everyone's taste buds (everyone in the family found something they liked!). My personal favorite was the deviled eggs, which were simply divine. They also had an assortment of lox and toppings, hot breakfast sandwiches, baked salmon, and the mouthwatering roast beef, all of which were incredibly flavorful. To accompany the feast, we enjoyed refreshing mimosas (I had mine with mango juice!). The dessert station was also yum, and they had adorable creme brulee pots that were literally irresistible. While I cannot vouch for their regular menu, I wholeheartedly recommend their brunch for a truly delightful dining experience and would def come back next year! read more

The Crosswater restaurant is at the golf course in Sunriver. It's a private, member only place but is open to Sunriver Resort guests. We went here for dinner Friday night and had a great time! First, since it's off season, they are only open on Friday and Saturday nights. Second, the food was amazing! We started with the fondue and it's probably the best I've ever had in my life. I am still craving more! The entrees were tasty and unique as well. I ordered the salmon which came with crab legs, shrimp ravioli, and some kind of bean and tomato salad. It was delicious. The only complaint is that we ate so much we couldn't try dessert! :( read more

Our party of four dined in the Crosswater Grill pub area. The ratio of guests to servers looked about right but our service put a damper on our dinner experience. Maybe dining in the pub was a mistake as we had a variety of servers including the bartender Robert who seemed to be trying his best. We had to ask several times to order drinks and then our first course of salads took about 20 minutes. My dinner entrée of pork tenderloin with pasta was a bit cold so my guess is that it sat in window for a while. My wife enjoyed her mac and cheese and our friends enjoyed their meals, but in summary the service was well below par. Being run by Sunriver Resort likely explains things as our service at the Resort's Owl's Nest Restaurant was hit or miss as well. read more

While staying at the Sunriver Lodge we decided to give the Crosswater Grille a try for a nice celebratory dinner (you must either be a member of the club or staying at the Sunriver Lodge to be able to go here). It is not the most convenient restaurant for sure; reservations are a must, in order to make reservations you must leave a message and get called back, the restaurant is in the gated area of the golf course so you must have a reservation to be allowed to enter through the gates. The restaurant itself was nothing special. The view was nice. The food was good...not great but good. Service was good...not amazing but good. Prices were actually not bad for such an exclusive place (we found that all of the restaurants/coffee houses, etc in the Sunriver area were expensive but that is normal for a "resort" area). Overall it was good but I doubt we would go back. read more

I felt like I was in a Kitchen Nightmare episode, it was so bad. We decided to leave after sitting down at the table. We saw "upscale dining" as a descriptor in the resort information. It was not. Service was casual. No menus dropped at seating or after first and second greeting. We sat with placemats (yes, placemats) in front of us. Staff was unengaging and lacked basic awareness. And they were dressed in polos - not upscale. The menu featured game hen and duck, right alongside burgers or fish and chips. Please, make up your mind. No music playing in the background, so just the din of forks and knives on plates, and overhearing other people's conversations about how bad the place was. Terrible. We paid for our good tasting drinks and left for the Owl restaurant in the lodge. Much better experience! read more

We stayed at Sunriver and chose Crosswater to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary because they it was the only restaurant nearby that had a private room for the 13 of us. Holly, the manager, and Tony, the server were amazing and went above and beyond to make it a memorable and special occasion. Since we are from out of town, Holly made local recommendations and made arrangements to get the cake from Bend to Crosswater. The location is beautiful and we enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails in the sitting area in front of the fire, and then moved into the private room which is kind of like a cozy library. All of our meals were excellent and Tony was attentive and unobtrusive. We couldn't have been more pleased with the experience and the meal. read more

We were a group of nine guys that wanted some sandwiches for lunch and a couple of beers after a nice round of golf. We had to go get our menus, beers took 20 minutes, food was delivered in 60 minutes. Extremely disappointing service. We just about left to go get fast food on the way back to the valley, but we were kept being told the food was coming out shortly. We will not be dining there again, as this was not the first time that they have had terrible service. read more
