Made a reservation for 10 people on a Friday night at 6:30. Got there and the hostess had give one of our tables to another group so we had to wait another 30 minutes for all of our party to be seated. The place is extremely small and the seating is crowded. We ordered raw oysters as an appetizer. They came out with "grit" all over them. We literally had to wash them off before we could eat them. And the "seafood" entrees tasted like they came from the frozen section of a local grocery store. This was the second time of giving this place a try and it was just as bad as the first. Boudin balls were VERY good! Jambalaya tasted like Zatarans, fried shrimp were a bit overcooked, but still good. The problem was the service... Ordered a tea and a water, she brought those with no straws, I asked for a straw and she said she would bring it right back, a little while later she was standing at the register on her phone, when she finally looked at me I mouthed "straw" and she brought it over. We were served the boudin balls appetizer in a basket, she never brought any plates to eat them from, nor checked back to see if they were ok, again on her phone at the register, I walked over and got my own extra napkins to place my food on. Entrees were delivered, not once did she check back with us to see if we needed anything. We had to ask for the check, then she never came back to get it and cash us out so we stopped the other server and she said, "I'll give it to YOUR server" and she walked it over to the bar and placed it on the bar in front of our server. Our server was busy mixing drinks or something and when she brought them by she asked where our check was. Serve mediocre food with great service and folks will still come back. Great seafood. Wasn't overly loud. The food was cooked as it should be and no waiting. We got in, ordered appetizers and drinks. No waiting. Ordered the main dish. Came out cooked as it should. Not to hot, not to cold. I recommend this place. read more

This was the worst place I have ever eaten. The gumbo roux was burnt, grease was up way too high burning the catfish and had an awful burnt taste. Waited hour and a half for food. Was told no crawfish yet everyone around us was eating and being served crawfish until we left. Terrible service and terrible food. Will never go back. read more

I have placed over $1000 in food orders to this restaurant in the past month being lent . I asked for a burger only with no sides and received just a patty. I can accept a mistake , however they called back and asked me to bring the patty when I come back to the restaurant. It is Good Friday and Sunday is Easter so I will be the give good will and just let the owner know , running a business is hard little things like this matter.I have given them about 50 recommendations, I will no longer do this and will not go to this establishment again. Don't waste your time or money! The service is very slow. Takes a long time to get your food. Our fries and okra was like warm to cold. She back the fries and they never brought a fresh hot order to the table. Ordered a bowl of red beans and rice. Got the small cup size instead of a larger size bowl, but was charged for a bowl. Our sever didn't check on our table until we finished eating so we asked to have the fries removed and the $10.99 bowl changed to 6.99 cup. This was my second visit. My first visit was in Dec 2018 and it was much worse on that visit. Same issues long wait time on drinks, food, the food was wrong and parts were cold. We ate lunch there today. I ordered a cup of gumbo and a dozen oysters. My wife ordered fried shrimp. We got home-made China and crawfish dip--fantastic! The gumbo was served before the oysters, and was very good also. The oysters were grilled and tasty, although a bit on the small side. My main problem was that I received 11 instead of a dozen (12)! I brought this to the attention of the server, who apologized, but did nothing else. They were out of hush puppies-which indicated they were store-bought instead of home-made. The service was good & prompt. I would've given 4 stars if the server had either brought me another oyster or taken a bit off my bill. I'll go again, but only for lunch; the building is pretty small and I bet evenings are really crowded. read more

Horrible service. Went on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated right away. My cousins wanted crawfish and I thought it was pretty pricey to not even include potatoes and corn. The crawfish came out first, with no napkins. It was an act of Congress to even get napkins. The rest of the table ordered regular food. An hour later, we STILL didn't have food. When it was finally almost ready per our waitress, she comes to the table to let us know that they are out of fries. So basically, the food hasn't even been dropped yet even though it was "almost ready". The sides were served in bowls, which were hot but food was cold. My catfish was good. I wanted some more ice for my drink, which was completely melted (I mean we've been here 1.5 hours, naturally it's melted). She filled up my drink with half ice and didn't even add more drink. Why only fill it half way with ice?!?!? Overall, the service was horrible, horrible, horrible and I probably will never go back read more

I have eaten at Crossroads several times since they opened this past summer. Service has always been friendly. Some menu items are great. Others...not so much. I really enjoyed the shrimp and grits when they first opened.... HUGE shrimp that were grilled and topped creamy grits with a little heat. The second time I tried them, the large shrimp weren't topping it. The oyster Po Boy was good. I also enjoyed the gumbo. read more

We went to eat here after church and the service was a bit slow but this is to be expected after church. However, when we finally got our food , they brought out my food and told us there were out of what my husband ordered. We should have been told before they brought my meal out. really bad service lady with short brown hair and glasses did not check up on us and when I tried to call her over she acted as if she didn't hear us, had to fill up water by myself. Long wait because they were busy, to be expected on a Saturday night. Food was good but service was slow and disorganized. The window sills still had sawdust and numerous dead flies and the windows need to be cleaned, still showed construction residue. We were 2 families of 4, and they tacked on an 18% "Service Charge", which seems a bit out of line to me. We might go back but it is not on the top of the list. Went this Sunday with family to try out the new restaurant. After being seated with menus when we first arrived, no one ever came back to take our order. After 15 minutes, a server came by to ask if we had been waited in, we replied no and she walked away. We finally just got up and left. read more
