Kylie was great- she was attentive and brought great positive energy to ladies night. Food and service were both worth coming back for!!

Cute place and good service. We got the filet sliders and meant to ask for the bleu cheese on the side, but we forgot. I don't like bleu cheese and it definitely permeated the whole slider. Even so, the meat itself wasn't out of this world and I do was we tried a different app. The chicken dip was pretty good. I liked the dipping aspect even though it was a little messy. The chicken was SUPER thick so it was very filling, but tasty. The fries were also just alright. We were seated next to an open window and thank god because they cranked the A/C to the point where I was shivering and needed the warm air from outside. I was also a little worried that the vents were going to drip on me but thankfully they did not. read more

A great spot in the Southport area! We came here for lunch on a Friday and I was surprised how busy it was. Must be a popular neighborhood spot. To drink, I had iced tea and then enjoyed a cheeseburger for lunch. Their specialty here seems to be chicken and I'll have to try that next time I'm back. The fries here were so deliciously crispy! The decor and service here is standard and nice. read more

Arrived in a Saturday at 3pm. Place was not busy yet tables were still not cleaned up. When placing our order we were told they stop selling their monkey bread at 3pm ( we missed it by 15 minutes) and that they normally throw the leftover away (very wasteful). I ordered a limoncello spritz which was okay, the cornbread was okay but not very warm, and steak frites to share. When the steak arrived, it was not sliced and very hard to cut. I mentioned this to the waiter and he let us know they don't cut it and that he told them it was for two and they still did not cut it. The fries were also not very fresh. Overall just a mediocre experience and I'm sorry I spent my Saturday and my money here. read more

My son and I stopped by Crosby's for brunch, but we found out they only serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Honestly, I see a big opportunity here offering brunch during the week could be a hit. On our visit, half of the menu was unfortunately unavailable, so we ended up ordering mostly appetizers. Luckily, our server was fantastic, very attentive and friendly, which made the experience much better. That said, I think management should be more proactive in keeping track of 86'd items. It's important for both the staff and the guests to know what's truly available. read more

Loved eating here last month on a Saturday with a girlfriend of mine! There was a bit of a wait which was expected, but when we were sat we were glad to get a table against the window. To start- we ordered a bottle of champ with some juices, which was a perfect way to start off brunch. To eat... we decided to share a number of items- we ordered the Monkey Bread, the Lobster Deviled Eggs, the Wrightwood Salad, and the Avocado Toast. Everything was so so good, the salad I could not stop eating! Great toppings, and I'd love to try the brussels salad next time. The monkey bread is a must order- we licked that skillet clean even if we couldn't finish everything else. This was my first time to Crosby's Kitchen but definitely not my last. I'd love to come back when the weather is warmer to get a seat on the patio, and people watch all the shoppers on Southport! read more

We used to live in Chicago for many years. This was our first time back in 9 years and this restaurant rocks on everything! Steve our server was so fun, that it made me want to move back. If you get a chance go to this restaurant and ask for Steve! I promise you will have fun with him! And take his recommendations- spot on! read more

Claire was amazing! We are definitely coming back because of her. The turkey burger and dip was perfect and we had a great time!

Great food and service. A neighborhood gem. Love the salads, salmon was cooked perfectly.

One of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood. Loved their outside seating tonight we dined and Clair made our experience especially comfortable. She was attentive, friendly and even helped our furry friend water refills. She was amazing. The food was delicious. Perfect night to dine out in Chi town. read more

Such good food and John's service was perfect. The outdoor area is so nice too. Eggs Benedict and burrito were amazing.

Such a great neighborhood spot it never disappoints. Ashton our server was amazing!! Definitely get the Hawaiian steak salad

The food is okay (small portions), the service is average, and the venue is very loud. But the real issue is the 4% "admin fee" tacked onto the bill. They clearly hope customers won't notice. When I asked about it, the waiter claimed it was a credit card fee, even though I hadn't paid yet, and offered to take it off. It's a dishonest practice. Check your receipts! read more

Make a reservation! Food is good and restaurant is nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. For appetizers we enjoy the skillet cornbread and lobster deviled eggs. For mains we love the wrightwood salad, burger and short rib pasta. They have a different special every day. Only drawback to this place is that it is very loud, so keep that in mind if you like a more quiet dining experience. read more

Updated Review: Kristina from Crosby's called me to discuss the incident below. I truly appreciated her follow through and customer service. It is obvious that Crosby's takes their customer feedback seriously. Hats off to a good management team who cares about patrons. I have updated my review to 4 stars. Original Review: I tried to order through Uber eats and GrubHub for delivery and the orders would not go through. I ordered through the website and a DoorDash driver was assigned. My food was picked up @645; and the arrival time kept changing. I texted the driver after 30 minutes, no response. Finally I called and he picked up. App malfunctioned and he was on hold with DoorDash customer service. No one let me know of any issues. I finally gave driver my address to deliver my cold food. Very disappointed. Crosbys has great food and I live within a quick delivery zone (under 15 min with traffic), but not sure I would order again through website if DoorDash is the only option. Very poor customer service. 2 stars, food is good Door Dash not so much. read more

A little over a month ago my friends and I dined here an hour before closing. We didn't have a great experience. Perhaps we caught them at a bad time. I left a review about my experience and immediately someone got back to me with concerns. They apologized about the experience we had and generously invited us back for another meal. When I tell you this was the most delicious meal I've had in a long time, I'm not kidding. The hash browns are like crack, they're so good. The blueberry cornbread was delicious, as well as the mimosas. The service was phenomenal, everyone was so nice and attentive. I was very impressed by the turn around my experience had. Mistakes happen, not every night is perfect, but they made up for it and that's what matters. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for all day dining, they truly care about their guests! read more

After having a previously negative experience, the management from Crosby's reached out to my sister, who had also had a negative experience, and offered to make it up to us by inviting us to a complimentary brunch for whichever date worked best for us. We were so surprised and flattered! We've heard overall good things about this restaurant and we must've gone on a bad night because when we returned, the food was amazing! Our servers were incredibly sweet and our meals were delicious! It was an amazing and kind gesture that was not taken lightly on our end, and we hope to be back and dining there soon! Thank you again for your elegance, class, and generosity! read more

I can't...I'm literally blown away. On our way to Midway from Wrigleyville, we stopped for breakfast/lunch. The service was amazing (hope I don't get this wrong...shout out to Alfonso! Sorry if I get the name wrong--I was one Rose deep!). The food...I had the chicken dip. Yes, a chicken dip--I never even knew that was a thing. But trust me, it's a thing. The freshest, most flavorful chicken I've ever had. Worth every morsel and every calorie. My husband had a buttermilk pancake, omelette, and hash browns. He said it was INCREDIBLE. Thank you for not only go an incredible experience, but a great vibe, wonderful service, and magnificent food. I cannot wait to go back. read more

Brussels sprout salad was tasteless boiled or steamed Brussels sprouts and not much else. I thought I just ordered the wrong thing. When I got home I looked up the menu and it was supposed to have arugula. I emailed Crosby's about two weeks ago and never heard back. read more

Great service, lots of food options (so many sounded good!), and a good ambiance inside. Their known for their rotisserie chicken, so we had to try that. It also came in the Wrightwood salad, which had no shortage of toppings. The crab cakes were also very good and had a lot of meat, not a ton of filling stuff like our waitress told us. read more

I recently ordered takeout as a treat on the way home. I'm a frequent guest at Crosby's and I always take my family to get brunch there when they are in town. Tonight, my to-go order was extremely disappointing. The chicken tortilla soup ($11) was not even a full container and it was 3/4 full with broth and a singular piece of chicken and a small triangle piece of avocado. I do not recommend ordering this item if you are expecting chicken in your "chicken" tortilla soup. read more

This place was bustling in early afternoon on a weekend. My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch but they were still on their brunch menu (it was after 2 pm), which was mostly breakfast but whatever. Our waiter didn't seem to understand that talking quietly and rapidly in a loud space meant that I was going to ask him to repeat himself multiple times. Other than that he was fine. We went with breakfast items: the biscuits and gravy (which also included eggs) for him, and a few sides for me: hash browns, sausage and a biscuit. The biscuit was fine; the hash brown was a thick square (think a piece of lasagna), herby tasting but not what I was expecting. Likewise the three pallid plump links of sausage that seemed barely kissed by a pan. I cut one open and it was just not appealing, but happily the manager swapped it out for bacon which was perfectly fine (I would have also been happy at that point just taking it off the bill). The biscuit and gravy skillet was tasty, according to my boyfriend. Overall, I might come back for a meal other than brunch, but this was only so-so. read more

Went to a Cubs game today. Then ventured over here at the recommendation of our usher at Wrigley. We had the amazing Kaylie wait in us. She was very excited to see us. This was our first time here as we are Baseball Stampeders for all 30 ballparks. She recommended several things on the menu. We ended up with the cornbread with maple butter appetizer upon her recommendation. It was amazing. Could have been a meal by its self. We each ordered something different Baby back ribs, Prime Rib sandwich, Fish and Chips and Filets Friets. All was cooked correctly. We are from Texas and the ribs were falling off the bone. Kaylie's personality was over flowing no matter who she was waiting on or just moving about the restaurant. However, I do recommend reservations, specially on a cubs home game day. It was not a long wait but well worth every minute. Thank you Kaylie for adding to our trip. read more

I'm impressed with this restaurant. I do find it a bit a comical that the best dish I had when I visited for restaurant week was the filet sliders appetizer. Not to say that the rest of the food was good - it was - but the sliders were on another level. I took one home to my husband and he not only agreed with me, we've been back to get just the sliders. Honestly, you can make a quality meal from a variety of the appetizers on the dinner menu. Outside of that love affair, the restaurant is busy, gives off a cozy aesthetic, and looks compact when you're walking around. I sat at the bar, and my service there was very friendly and personable. Not sure if they take reservations, but I do advise that you make such if you're going to go. If not, be prepared to wait during the weekends, including for seats at the bar. read more

Our waiter was so kind. The team seated us quickly even though it was in the middle of lunch rush. It was a little too hot to eat outside but they do offer outdoor seating if preferred. Second time through Crosby's was considerably less awesome, and of course when we brought a bunch of friends from out of town. Service was slow and unconcerned. No silverware setup, no refills, no check on the food or if inquiry about if extras were needed. The cornbread was still a wonderful experience and the drinks were good. The attention to experience and delivery of top notch food has sadly eroded a bit. read more

Food and service were great. It's always alive and kicking inside. Cocktails were tasty.

Casual atmosphere that includes seating inside, outside, and at the bar. We went for lunch, but opted to order breakfast. The hash browns were especially good and flavorful. There were three of us, and we all enjoyed our eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and one person had an omelette. They said it had pesto and sun-dried tomato. Very good. Our server, Amanda, was great and sensitive to my gluten free needs. Quick and friendly service. It was busy and lively. It was a little noisy but that is to be expected on a busy day during the lunch hour. read more

Reliable, quality neighborhood restaurant with a lovely outdoor patio and something for everyone. We've been coming to Crosby's since we moved to Chicago in 2017. The food has always been very good, and the servers all extremely friendly. It's the kind of place where you know what to expect every time you go - the menu rarely changes, nor does the decor, but there's always a dish or two you crave that is made extremely well each time. Even though I rarely eat meat these days, I continue to come back for their turkey burger. It is very well seasoned, and topped with an excellent asian slaw that adds quite a bit of texture and depth of flavor to the dish. The bun is equally tasty, and stands up impressively well to the large patty. We've also been fans of their veggie burger, a well-made quinoa patty with tons of flavor and crunch. It does tend to fall apart, but it's a great play on something often overlooked. You also can't go wrong with their sides, from the delicious mashed potatoes, to fresh veggies and a new mac and cheese. While they do have a glass of wine or two I enjoy, what falls short for me is their drink selection and cocktails. They're fine, but nothing too special. I will also say that despite trying it several times, the spinach and artichoke dip leaves little to be desired, very little seasoning and chips that border on stale. But, we each have our dishes we crave, and continue to love, all these years later. I'd love to see them try some new dishes on the menu, but when your restaurant is packed every day of the week, I guess you stick with what works! read more

The rigatoni burrata is spectacular! However, I ordered it for delivery and it was $27 for 14 pieces of rigatoni. It is for real so good, but $2 per rigatoni is absurd. Dropped into town and hadn't seen the bestie and her partner in ages and this is their fave. Well we had a blast. The carnivore loved the steak and fries. As the resident pescetarian those lobster deviled eggs were a fabulous seafood-inspired Easter treat. The house salad was excellent and the side of salmon and the jalapeno cornbread were fashion and food police A+. They were packed on Sunday brunch. You will absolutely need a reservation if you're considering brunch here on the weekend. It's also quite loud inside.
