Their sales pitch to me in the beginning was they'd come out any time I had any bug issues. So I had needed them a couple of times during the quarter since I had just moved in and the house hadn't been lived in for at least 5 yrs. I would not recommend them to anyone. Their communication is terrible. They said they contacted me and we "discussed it several times"....uh, NO WE DID NOT. They may have talked amongst themselves in the office but NOBODY told me until I got that call from the owner from out of the blue and had no idea what he was talking about. I mean, isn't that what I'm paying for...for them to come out when there's a bug problem and spray for bugs???! There are plenty of pest control companies around, so don't bother with this one.

Talk about a surprise! I could easily see a fee for showing up (like plumbers), but they were gracious. They said genuinely, they just provided me with some information. Upon our return to town, I contacted the company to get a report on traps set and any rats found as no traps were visible at any point. They scheduled a follow up visit bt failed to show up. After multiple phone calls to find out what happened, they finally told me that they had been in a wreck and their truck was damaged. When they wanted to reschedule after no contact for close to two weeks, i told them to get lost. I do not believe any work beyond the initial inspection was ever attempted, let alone completed.

Michael and Jessica are very professional and arrived promptly for every scheduled visit. They successfully set up a "one-way" door leading out of one of the eaves in our roof where these critters were getting in. They also sealed up all other possible points of entry on the roof and around the house, installed new flash sidings around the eaves of the roof and fixed one of the nearby gutters that was loose. The ring-tailed cats were gone within 48 hours and not able to re-enter. We initially had a minor hiccup when a different serviceman returned 5 days later to do the finish-up work. The problem was handled professionally and Michael and Jessica returned instead to do the follow-up work by removing the trap, minor roof repair and clean up the feces in the attic. I highly recommend their service. The ring-tailed cats are now gone from our attic and live out among our trees around the house where they safely belong (as spotted in our attached photo). Also, we live close to downtown. This is no longer just a hill country animal. The ring-tailed cats have packed their rural bags and moved into the city for some arts, culture and fine dining. No one believed me that we had ring-tailed cats living with us until now.

I had used Chem-Free before for a different service and like how they use more natural products for…read morepest control. I needed them to take care of some German cockroaches who came in from a houseguest's things. It's a special treatment needed and not like regular pest control. I think the cost was about $350. They've come back 3 times so far every two weeks.The cycle for roaches is that quick and some of the treatment is to use the gel to bait them and they go back to the nest with it and it makes them sterile. I hope we are finally successful now in getting rid of these bugs. The tech treated on the first visit all around the perimeter of the house and then came inside and sprayed in the main areas where they were and also put gel and boric acid in strategically placed areas like the kitchen outlets and underneath kitchen appliances. It's been over a month now and all I've found are dead roaches. I have cats, so they were put in a bedroom away from the spray for several hours just to make sure everything had dried and the air was clear. The multiple treatments appears to be successful but those roaches are sneaky. I cleaned out all the bottom cabinets and washed everything and put small appliances out on the deck for 24 hours in case they were hiding in there. They will come back again if needed as part of the treatment if needed but it'll be to add gel and boric acid and not anymore spray. I think it's for two months guarantee and then it'd be a regular treatment overall at the quarterly treatment. No contract was needed. The technician has been very accommodating and informative about what was being used. I'm pleased with it and well worth it to call in the professionals for this. Roaches crawling over who knows what is so disgusting and my sprays and traps weren't doing the job properly. It gives me peace of mind to know that bugs haven't been near where food is for us or the animals.
