I couldn't believe that he only charged me $80 for an OLED screen. He said he had a cheaper option for $60 if I went for the LCD sceeen but as soon as he demonstated the differences between 2 screens, I decided to go with the oLed screen. I tried recommended advice from my carrier such as restarting my mobile network and even swaped out a new SIM card, but had the same issue. Went into Fixme and the person in front took a look at my phone and diagnosed the issue. He concluded that it was hardware problem with the antenna. However, he won me over with his solution and explanation. Described that because Samsung doesn't make their schematics or parts available that we would have to replace to whole motherboard which would be costly. He recommended to trade in phone for a new one instead of attempting to coax me into the costly fix. At the time I didn't know if I could trade in my phone since I was still paying it off with my carrier so I opted to move forward with the motherboard replacement. He gave me a quote which after I verified the price of the motherboard on the market I thought was very fair. We scheduled a return date so he can procure the motherboard and verify its compatibility with my carrier. Afterwards I looked into Samsungs trade-in policy that found that they accepted phones that are still under a payment plan as long as you continue paying. Because of this, I decided to go forward with the trade-in for a new phone. I called Fixme to let them know,and they were extremely understanding and glad I was able to resolve my issue despite not using their service.
