I bought a massage Inada chair, six years ago at Teletron in Stanton, along with the insurance. I rarely use it, maybe once a year. The massage chair has always been covered with protective fabric. Recently we begin to use it, we notice the leather has already disintegrated at several spots. We called Teletron for service since we bought insurance for extra warranty. They didn't respond to our call and not honoring the extra warranty we have purchased. We reached out the original manufacturer Inada with both international calls and emails. No response. We bought Inada massage for total of $10k. Obviously we have been scammed for defective product and deceived by Teletron for extra warranty. I am extremely disappointed with the service and customer treatment at TELETRON - 13818 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA. On April 17, 2025, I visited this location to purchase a BIOMAT QUEEN mattress. Before making the payment, I asked very clearly about their return policy. Both the owner, Mr. Huy, and his staff assured me: "Don't worry. If you're not satisfied within 14 days, just bring it back and we'll give you a full 100% refund. After 14 days, you can contact the manufacturer directly. But this is a high-quality product, and it sells very fast, so you won't have any problems." Because of that assurance, I decided to make the purchase. However, after paying, I never received any confirmation email or shipping information, as I had been promised. After several days with no updates, I returned to the store on April 20 to ask about my order. They told me it was delayed due to the holiday and assured me they would follow up. On April 21, I finally received an email saying the mattress would be delivered on Friday, April 25. But that night, when I opened the package and used the mattress, I discovered it was defective - the heating function was malfunctioning, causing extreme heat on my back, which made it impossible to sleep. On April 29, I returned to the store to report the issue and request a refund. Instead of showing any concern or support, the manager, Jimmy, was dismissive and even aggressive, refusing to refund me simply because the product had been opened - despite it being clearly defective. When I asked to speak with the owner, Mr. Huy, again, he told me: "I'm no longer in charge - the manager decides now," and then refused to come downstairs to speak with me. I feel misled and taken advantage of. I'm sharing my experience not to cause conflict, but to warn other customers to be extremely careful when shopping at TELETRON, especially at 13818 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove, CA. They made big promises before the sale, but once there's a problem, they ignore the customer and take no responsibility. I truly hope the store will reconsider how they treat customers in the future. If you do a search for "Teletron" in Orange County, on Yelp, a few things come up. At first you see that there's two Teletrons, both at the same address. So I'm guessing that this one has had such bad reviews, that they didn't claim this one, and started a new one! Oh my god, so smart. (Don't worry, I made a review at the new one too) Too bad their businesses practices didn't change with their Yelp fresh start. If I could give negative stars, I would. My family bought what they were told was a "leather" Max West couch set which was on sale. The material on the couches and the price of the couches ($1,599 reduced sale price), would fool most people into thinking that they were indeed leather as they were explicitly told. The furniture set had a one year warranty. After a few months past a year, the furniture started flaking and exposing the fabric underneath the outermost, leather looking layer. Definitely not leather, not even close. We contacted the store and even the manufacturer (we're sure the manufacturer is in on this scam as the couches last just long enough to expire the warranty). Their only helpful response was to tell us to contact the other (the store told us to contact the manufacturer and vice versa). On top of all of this, my parents were told that delivery would be free, but looking upon the receipt again, there was a $100 "SVC-Service" charge that was snuck into the billing. During our first months using it, we found that it wasn't even operable as a fridge so we reached out to Teletron and Dimchae, the manufacturer. They said the issue may be the kimchi ingredients we were using. Naively we agreed to try again with better kimchi ingredients and even tried to get the gas replaced with our own money (because there's no way the issue is with a brand new appliance we purchased from a known store, right?) Still, an inoperable fridge. Dimchae said that we need to deal with any issues with the seller (Teletron) and were unable to address any issues or questions with the product. To top it off, during our communication with Teletron, every employee we've spoken to was extremely RUDE, unhelpful, and dismissive from the start. Poor customer service---- They lost $10k deal because they cannot wait 2 days for verifying name with bank. They delivered the massage chair to our house after 3 weeks since we had got approved from bank for financing. The chair came in sealed box, they unboxed and installed at our house. Everything was perfect, our family enjoyed it. However the excitement only last 45 minutes. They called and said they needed to verify our name with the bank, but it's afternoon Friday late, so bank closed. I told them I will call the bank early morning Monday so they can get the money. Simple like that. Plus, we already provided our information, we ran credit check. But no, they demanded to take the chair back right away, without boxes or cover it. They are so shady, keep saying it's not a big deal for them to take the chair back and bring again after verifying by bank. Who can guarantee that nothing will happen during the weekend with the chair? How about our experience with the chair, our parent's excitement? It's a big deal to us. I decided to cancel the chair, they kept saying sorry and offer a gift which is 2 year warranty for the chair. Who the heck need extra 2 years warranty? We agreed to get the 10k massage chair so we expected not to have any problems to apply the warranty. Anyway, they called my mom again to convince her keep get it. I found this electronics dealer on the digital Korean shopping channel (44.3) where as in all their commercials, they feature a white haired gentleman who is way too excited about everything he he showcases on TV - an over-priced Korean version of the Juiceman, beauty creams, stylish purses, herbs and of course consumer electronics. Checking out a 2-door refridgerator with stainless steel finish, this guy appears to be nearly to the point of orgasm. In the Teletron infomercial, they feature an LG 42" LCD for $588...I don't understand Korean, but the numbers were in front of my face so I had to go!! It's in the same plaza as Freshia, Dennys, Del Taco, etc...Great, now we both know where it is!! So, you walk in and at ther door, there are $3 karaoke DVDs...Do they have all my favorite KPop jams like U R Man or Kara's Rock U Body - I Say! Next you find kitchen electronics like hotpots, melodious rice cookers and a Korean version of the Magic Bullet, refridgerators, even furniture(couches)...and there they were...TV's!! Pricing was reasonable, but there was no LG for $588 :( Also missing was a sales staff that wanted to talk to me...as they closed deals with the locals, they packed up floor samples and were selling those. Don't waste your time. I went here last year to see some of their wonderful deals on their TV's as advertised in the local TV ads. When I entered, all the salespeople tried to avoid me. Probably because I'm a big ass Asian with prison tattoos all over my face and arms. I bum rush a Korean salesperson and he never made eye contact with me. He kept looking at my size 14 shoes and kept telling me to go to Costco to buy a TV. I told him Costco has really crappy products and I prefer the TV's at his store, but after 10 minutes of arguing, he was able to convince me to go to Costco. To this very day, I couldn't figure out what exactly happened last summer at Teletron. But, after reading these reviews on Yelp I was finally able to figure it out. LOL. I have been laughing for the past hour. I realized the salesman knew they sold faulty products and he didn't want me to come back upset and possibly killing his entire family. Of course I would never do such a thing, but I guess he had other thoughts. On a side note, the reviews on here are very sad as I read them. Being an Asian myself, it breaks my heart to see Asians ripping off other Asians. Especially the elderly and the non-English speaking community. The one positive review is probably them trying to balance out the terrible ratings that they so deserve. Our first experience was when my family was in need of a new refrigerator. They acknowledged us right away because we were interested in an expensive appliance. The salesman got us in his trap and successfully got us to purchase the more expensive fridge that we can live without. Our next experience was when we came back for a food processor. A much smaller and cheaper appliance. We couldn't get any sales person to stay and talk to us for more than 10 seconds. And now no one would even talk to us long enough and they all seem to give us dirty looks. So take my advice and many other people and don't even waste your time at this place, let alone your hard earn money. The sales people are rude and disrespectful. They only look at you as dollar signs as to how much of a commission you can get them. I will not even go into how unprofessional the manager is at this place. I will never be coming back here again. I agree with DeAnn, they are definitely liars and don't care much about the customers at this store. My mom saw something she wanted to buy here at what she thought was a very cheap price in an ad that had been running in the Chinese newspaper since Mother's Day.. mind you that was almost two months ago. So we went today, and the store was relatively busy. I looked around, but didn't really see anything that was a "deal".. things seemed to be listed for MSRP which is pretty expensive to begin with. We found the item.. and then was told by a salesperson that it wasn't on sale for $50 like my mom thought. Rather, it was the TOASTER that was NEXT TO the rice cooker which was on sale for $50. So my mom pulls out her ad, and it's pretty obvious that the store is trying to mislead you into thinking that this $100 rice cooker has been discounted to $50, as both the rice cooker and the toaster are placed together in the same box with a HUGE price marker that just screams $49.99. But no, the saleswoman says, they're two separate items with two separate prices and tries to place the blame on the newspaper which she said did the layout of the ad for them. My mom asks to speak to the manager but nobody wants to take the responsibility. Finally we get pointed to someone and when we talk to him he spews the same crap as the saleswoman and says that they have already called to complain to the newspaper. Yeah, right. That's why the ad has been running the same way for almost two full months. He says there's no way the rice cooker could sell for fifty bucks. I say that the ad is misleading, and right below the rice cooker next to the huge price advertisement is written in Chinese "special grand opening price." I hardly think selling something for MSRP (actually, a little more than my mom has seen at other Chinese retailers) is a "special price". Long story short, it didn't get us anywhere to point out their mistake. I circled the rice cooker area for about 10 minutes without any assistance while their reps are standing around chit chatting. He said "no, that's it" the salesperson didn't offer any other model or ask if I needed anything else but instead he just walked away.
