I won't bore anyone with the full play-by-play, but it involved months of confusion, misinformation, and a lot of well-intentioned people who were kind and polite... yet nothing actually got solved. Then I came into the store and met Jyelin T.. From the moment we spoke, he listened patiently, took my concerns seriously, and confidently said he could resolve it. Given my past experience, I'll admit I was skeptical. But literally the next day, he emailed me with a solution--and it was exactly the resolution I had been hoping for all along. Because of everything I'd been through, I even went back into the store to confirm that what he promised was truly happening. Sure enough, Jyelin delivered. He solved an issue that had dragged on for months in less than 24 hours. Total rockstar. I am recovering from surgery. We attempted to order a recliner from Living Spaces online to assist with my recovery. We tried 3 times due to their next day delivery. Our order was not going thru my husband called the store and was informed it was due to the 3rd party system they use. They said in order for him to get next day delivery he had to go in person to make the purchase by 5 PM. He was able to make it. Fast forward to today the power recliner the was delivered at noon did NOT work. They offered to leave a the broken recliner for a $200 discount, send a repair man that could take days, refund our money, or replace it. In my mind a replacement the same day would have been OK since it was 12 PM and we received a delivery window of 8 AM to 8 PM. We opted for next day delivery but requested to speak with a manger. I was informed I would receive a phone call in 2 hours. 4 hours later we still had not received a call. I called the store. It took over an hour to receive a return phone call. I spoke with Melissa. She stated she was a guest service manager and there was nothing that could be one on her end. The best thing they could do is deliver a replacement the next day. I came in looking for a bed frame and mattress. It seems like all of your bed frames are now cheap wood slats like ikea euro-trash. I was close to sealing the deal when Joe came in with his vast knowledge recommending monkey board to "reinforce the bed frame. I asked why I would have to pay extra to fortify something to make it solid. Then he told me about common sense. Well, Joe common sense tells me if I have to fix it before I've even paid for it; it's garbage. Common sense tells me to see a dentist. So, I guess improve your product and your customer service. With that said, a quick internet search returned exactly what I was looking for with metal construction for 1/10th the price. Living Spaces used to have quality furniture but it's definitely not the same as it used to be. I would just walk away quiet but Joe needs a refresher in customer service. However, I wouldn't get couch here, as they are too soft and deep. The main show room is huge including. They offer several delivery options and prices, some furniture can be delivered assembled or self assemble. The outlet area is also big. I saw some of the same pieces as in main show room sold As Is. Poor customer service. We recently purchased a mattress at Living Spaces. It took 5 days for delivery. We put in a claim because they delivered a King Size bed and not the California King we ordered. it has now taken 5 days for them to rectify our claim. Living Spaces does not take phone calls. We have had to return to the store to have any chance at customer service. And they have not given us a reasonable response. I have sent emails to them without a response. The manager refused to do a one time curtesy to exchange even though I only had the mattress for one day all they care about is money and not good customer service. I did explain to them that the bed was too high even for my two year old daughter that I was scared she would fall off..This is at the living spaces in La mirada.. I purchased a sofa from Living Spaces and also paid for the 5 Year Care Free Furniture Protection Plan. When two accidental stains happened, I filed a claim within 5 days of noticing them. One stain happened when the sofa rubbed against a painted surface while being moved, and the other happened when food was accidentally dropped on it. The claim was denied as "general soiling" and an "accumulation of stains," which does not accurately describe what happened. These were two specific accidental incidents, not wear and tear or dirt buildup over time. What makes this even more frustrating is that I followed the instruction of a Living Spaces employee at the Rancho Cucamonga location, who told me to file it as a single claim. Then it seems that filing it that way was used against me. I bought the protection plan expecting help with accidental damage, but when I needed to use it, the claim was denied based on what felt like a technicality and a photo-only review. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent purchase and delivery experience, which I found to be deeply disappointing and unacceptable given the cost and expectations set by Living Spaces. I ordered a new couch and confirmed delivery the day prior, as well as again on the day of delivery. Less than two hours before the scheduled delivery window, I was contacted and informed that the product was no longer available and that my order had been cancelled. I was offered only the option to have a ticket created and to receive a call back within 24 hours. No alternative solutions were presented at that time, which was extremely frustrating given the short notice. I called back and spoke with another representative who similarly stated there was nothing that could be done and that I would need to wait. At that point, with the product now out of stock, it was entirely unclear what resolution--if any--would be provided. Shortly thereafter, I was contacted by associate from the La Mirada store. She offered an alternative option that was sold "as is." I expressed concerns that "as is" might indicate missing parts or functional issues, but I was reassured that the item was complete and functional. The associate coordinated delivery of a power reclining loveseat and console, with the commitment that the missing middle section would be delivered the following day. While this was not what I originally ordered, I agreed in an effort to reach a resolution. Upon delivery, I discovered that the power reclining loveseat did not include the required power supplies--only a single showroom battery--rendering the power recliner effectively unusable. I was then informed that the only way to resolve this issue was to physically drive to the store. When I arrived at the store, I was told that because the item was sold "as is," the absence of power supplies for a power recliner was my responsibility, and that this was not included. Being blamed for missing essential components of a $5,000 power furniture purchase was both surprising and unacceptable. The overall service experience--from last-minute cancellation, lack of proactive solutions, incomplete delivery, and ultimately being held responsible for missing critical components--was abysmal. This is especially concerning given the significant amount of money spent. Based on this experience, I have no intention of making future purchases from Living Spaces. It was quite the nightmare, so I won't get into it all, but it required multiple calls & emails, missing the delivery BUT due to LS & them attempting to charge more, with so much miscommunication that items were cancelled & reordered that it led to extra deductions on credit score, & ended in we have no idea of the actual total cost since it got so messy. My BF furnished his place before & had a good experience, so he was very disappointed this time around, especially after spending so much!! * Final Thoughts: great selection, good price, good in-store customer service, but dreadful communication & confusing customer support after the fact. The dining set we bought started falling apart, and when we tried to use the 5‑year protection plan they pushed on us, the claim was denied due to a hidden 60‑day reporting rule. No one mentioned this, and it defeats the entire purpose of buying a 5‑year insurance plan. How are customers supposed to predict issues and report them within 60 days? So it seems that if Living Spaces employees finalize a sale, they can get the commission regardless if a customer refund comes along the way or not. There is no reasonable doubt to believe that LS is owned and operated by a very corrupt corporation due to it's incompetent way of operating and unwavering reputation of not giving a damn about anything when it comes to customer service. Instead of acting like a normal business establishment, they send in their AI customer service responder to pat us on the back and tell us everything is going to be ok. After a couple of weeks of searching for a new sofa, we decided to go back to living spaces and order the one we had liked in person based on pricing and reviews. Ordering online is very simple and easy, I had purchased my son's bedroom set here last summer, and the sofa was just as quick. I scheduled the delivery and about a week later I received an email that it was on back order and would not arrive until late March. I'll admit I was a little disappointed, but now it was just a matter of waiting. About a week after that, I got a text message saying the sofa was in stock now and I could go ahead and schedule the delivery, a couple of weeks sooner than expected. The delivery process was very easy and smooth. I used the tracker to check the status and estimated time of arrival, which turned out pretty accurate. I did not pay for assembly (it's a sofa, so why bother), but the 2 men that delivered were very helpful and professional, they brought it inside and set it up to where all we had to do was remove the wrapping. All in all another great experience from this Living Spaces location. We have bought several different furniture pieces over the years and will continue to shop here. read more

Be honest with your customers. Follow your posted company policies that are listed on the website. I purchased a Laz-Y-Boy power recliner. The sales person was helpful (the only bright spot) and tried to upsell warranties and delivery options. He mentions the price-matching policy during the transaction also. Everyone likes to save money, so I looked at "brick and mortar" locations, same product, brought in the ad (per instructions) and thought they would honor the price. Wrong. The Mgr. said it was not local and the company does not ship. It was a $100 savings. Nothing is mentioned on website regarding these stipulations. The Mgr. Just kept saying his SOP's won't allow this. Pretty robotic answers...not helpful at all. I have canceled and refunded my order. Side note, I am shopping at a competitor now, that is matching Living Spaces price and for the hassle- giving an additional 20% price match with a lesser full service delivery fee. I am saving $100 which is what the Mgr. Could have done for me. I would rather give business that is more focused on their customers rather than a B.S excuse to lean in on "SOP" procedures that are not matching the website description. Also, knowing that word of mouth advertising is very effective...I will definitely be sharing my not so positive experience with people that I know. One star rating is way too high. read more

We have been trying to get them to respond to a problem in our recliner, only they only write Emails telling you when they will come and take a look. I spoke to two different people and told each one that the times they gave us will not work with us. They don't follow your directions in terms of when you are not available. So now we are at the almost 2 year out of a 5 year coverage plan. Very deceptive, costly and misleading. I suspect Living Spaces should end their contract with these Carefree people. This will be my second Better Business Bureau claim on Living Spaces. While their furniture is beautiful, their recliners are defective. There is so much confusion with the 5 year $ 89.25 plan, I now believe the Care Free plan is as faulty as the Living Spaces furniture is. read more

THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT VARIETY, I ended up liking quite a few couches. Everyone at the store is amazing! Very welcoming environment, very helpful and definitely not pushy at all. Which I love. I ended up coming quite a few times to the store just to make sure I absolutely LOVED it. Every single time, everyone I spoke to was amazing! From entering, choosing my pieces for my sectional, making the purchase, and delivery. EVERYTHING AMAZING. I even ended up not liking a piece of my sectional and I called, they answered in less than 2 minutes. After only two years, the seams on the couch started coming apart. I filed a claim and sent photos, but the warranty company denied it and called it "wear and tear." The representative who handled my claim, Tina, was extremely rude and dismissive. She compared the issue to clothes wearing out from sitting on a couch and said the price of the couch and the fact that it's only two years old "doesn't matter." If seams coming apart after two years on a $4,000 couch is considered "normal wear and tear," then the warranty they sell customers is very misleading. This was the most horrific furniture shopping experience ever!! We came here looking for a coffee table and also purchased a wall mirror. We paid for inside drop off opposed to outside drop off. The sales person said that with the inside drop off nether piece would require any installation, which is what we wanted. We expected that a coffee table would be delivered in our family room, which is not what we got. We got a coffee table in a box wrapped in styrofoam that required us to un-wrap it. I asked the delivery guy if they were going to unwrap the box and were told it would cost extra!! However, they also brought in the bench. Hey, the bench isn't supposed to be here. We requested all chairs. They called their manager who told us on speaker phone that it isn't possible to mix up the chairs because it arrives as a whole set. We can get a discount of $109 or return the table set and find something else. Womp. Where is this company's ethics? I purchased a mattress from the Living Spaces and received one of their promotional gift cards in the amount of $300 which I attempted to use recently. I placed an online order for an item and entered the gift card information, then received a confirmation on the next screen that the gift card funds were applied successfully. I also received the approximate dates of delivery. However, because of a technical issue on the website (which was confirmed by their employee, Alex), my order apparently did not go through properly. By the time I discovered this, the gift card had just expired and now the company refuses to do anything to rectify the situation. I've spoken to two managers, both of whom thought it was appropriate to talk over me and tell me that the issue was MY fault. I even sent a screen shot proving my concerns and these were summarily dismissed. When I asked why the company was putting the onus on me and attempting to blame the customer for their technical error, I was curtly informed they would do nothing to correct the error and that "no way" would they re-issue a new card or even fix the order for me. This is now the second time I've had serious issues with Living Spaces' so-called "promotional" cards. From my experience, these feel like a scam. I will be reporting Living Spaces to the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission as they clearly do not honor their "promotional" cards, nor do they accept responsibility for technical issues on their own website. I provided very specific delivery instructions because my neighborhood is full of homes that look exactly the same, yet they still delivered my chairs to the wrong address. I have been going back and forth with their customer service multiple times, explaining the issue, and they have done absolutely nothing to resolve it. It's completely unacceptable to spend that kind of money and be ignored while the company refuses to take responsibility. I have reported Living Spaces to the BBB for what I believe are scamming practices. I want to warn everyone: do not order from this company. Save your money, your time, and your frustration. Based on other reviews, it seems they've done the same to many others. They make it seem like they're willing to assist you with your issue, but in reality, they don't follow through. Will be taking legal action against this company stay away from them. read more
