Online forums said it couldn't be done, and one private lab said they thought they could get into it for around $600-800. I took it to Sang and I have no clue how he was able to do it, but he retrieved the data in a day. For $100. I can't tell you how excited my friend was to get these pictures recovered. 5 stars isn't enough.

I had my iPhone 7 screen repaired here. I took it back to them and they fixed it for free. However, when I got home I noticed that the start button and the camera weren't working. I think this is probably due to damage from being exposed to water when they didn't waterproof it. When I took it back to them, I left it with them thinking it would be free since they had caused the damage, but they charged me $75 to repair the camera and start button. Also, the new screen is noticeably poor quality. The whites are half as bright as my friend's iPhones, and the screen doesn't go full black - when it's off you can see the rectangle of the screen in a lighter black than the black of the phone. Also now I'm afraid of getting it wet.

I argued that I know we're paying a little bit more for the convenience of being close, but Apple only charges about $89 and I didn't understand the huge price difference. He blamed it on my daughter for not asking about the price first. Continually talked over us while trying to dispute. He criticized her by telling her she should take better care of her phone (In my opinion, she's done a fantastic job taking care of her phone considering it's 6 years old and took this long to need a repair). He tried to make it all better by offering her a phone case for free. We declined and filed a complaint with Mall Management. He took advantage of a naïve young lady.
