It is one of the few Android tablets with a 4 x 3 aspect ratio...just like an iPad and perfect for reading letter-size PDFs. I managed to mangle the charging port. (Note to self: If you're inserting a charging cable, at an angle, and it resists, don't keep pushing!) All the wires were bent, rendering it unrepairable. It would have to be replaced. I asked ChatGPT for places that might be able to replace it. I got a list and and went down them one-by-one. No luck. They couldn't get the part, etc. Michael's wasn't even on the list! One of the places that was on the list is Fix 'n' Repair in Watertown. They couldn't handle it, but "there's a computer repair place around the corner. Maybe they could do something.." That's what brought me to Michael's. Whoever was manning the store looked at it and pronounced: they could get the part, but there was a little ding in the bezel. He was concerned that the screen might crack. If I knew the risks, it would be $95. An unbranded 4 by 3 tablet would cost about $200. He thought I'd be better off with a new tablet. But, then, I'd have this "potentially" fixable tablet sitting around mocking me. I left, leaning towards a new tablet. But, the next day I went back with a proposition: Don't order any parts. Try removing the screen. If it cracked, I'd pay whatever he thought was fair. If it didn't, we'd proceed with the repair. It didn't, but there was one small spot on the left edge that showed up blue on a black screen. It wasn't noticeable on a white green screen. He would proceed. What we thought might take a week or two (getting parts and repair) was done over the weekend. I couldn't be happier!

Although I think that Michael the tech guy is friendly, his lack of communication has brought me to this point. Beginning in December 2020, my laptop camera which was under warranty by Lenovo stopped working. The exact error was that "was not found" leading me to believe it was a hardware problem. I saw the great reviews for Terminal Exchange Systems and decided to contact them to fix it. I dropped off my laptop to Michael and it was fixed the next week. Michael diagnosed it as a software issue. Then, a few days later, it stopped working AGAIN. This time, after he remotely accessed my computer, Michael decided that it WAS a hardware issue and said he would order the part for me and I could come in when it arrived since fixing it would only take about an hour so so. After that point, you can see our email communication in the photos that I've attached. Dec. 4th - Michael told me in writing that he was going to process the warranty claim and would follow up when the order arrived Dec. 16th - I email him asking for an update, no response. I don't push further since the holidays are coming up. January 4th - I email him asking for an update, no response. January 13th - I finally call Terminal and get a response from Amy. She says that they're no longer taking hardware issues and says that I can call Lenovo. I call her back and ask for help because my device is now no longer covered by Lenovo and said that it was terrible customer service that no one bothered to inform me that this change happened and asked for her to help me. She got huffy and said "well, why did you wait a month to call us?" and I explained that I had been emailing Michael with no response. I mentioned that it was the holidays and I don't like to be pushy because I know things are busy. I was absolutely polite when I was speaking to her. PEOPLE, SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a company. NEVER EVER give them your business. They REALLY don't care about you!!! They will waste your time for 1+ month and then treat you like YOU'RE the problem and hang up.

They told me they already sent it out and would NOT be able to get my exact phone back, (why would you send it before the 14 days were up) so now in order for me to start up a new contract again I would have to pay T-Mobile ( my past account) $350 that sprint was taking care of for me giving them my brand new iPhone. So now I had to cancel sprint within the 14 days to get everything back but now I don't have a phone so I had to pay $350 to T-Mobile and on top of that another $220 for start up. So now I'm out $570 on top of the $140 for the start up of sprint which they told me would take 7-10 days to receive. So it's been 2 weeks now waiting for (some random iPhone that isn't mine to come in) and wouldn't you know the phone was broken volume buttons could not be pushed in. How do you send a phone out without checking the simplest issues with a phone. So now I'm really pissed and have to wait another 1-2 weeks for another phone. Keep in mind I'm still out the $350. So now the issue is me waiting for my return money that has been over 10 days now. We call up and they tell me " your not getting a return, we have no cards on file" so after about 2 days of talking to managers and corporate about where our money is we finally get it after the 5th day. It keeps getting better, yesterday we had to contact them to find out that the phone arrived a FEW days prior . So now I go to pick it up today and the phone is WHITE. At least it's in working condition but I gave them a black phone so that is what I wanted in return. This isn't just pick a phone out of a basket type of deal and send it on its way, this is a $1000 phone that I've paid for over the year or so.
