Out of the many Verizon locations I have gone to.......the Very Best Service in the last few years with Verizon has been THIS LOCATION! Other companies might have a Genius Bar, BUT, this location has GENIUSES working here. I had an issue and questions so I called my Verizon number and they helped me as much as possible but suggested to go to Verizon Store. Which I did today and was helped by the GENERAL MANAGER ED VALDEZ who knew exactly how to remedy my issues and did it quickly and professionally! Ed Valdez took my phone along with his IPad to fix my problems and I just watched as in my mind Geniusly resolved it all! So, soon I will be back to upgrade my phone and will definitely seek him out BUT THE OTHER EMPLOYEES are just as important and Tech Savvy as the General Manager! It was another AMAZING day at Verizon all because of Nathan!! I was beyond psyched when I walked through the door and saw Nathan, and that he was free! He assisted me above and beyond today!! The icing on the cake was he also helped me lower my monthly bill by over $30 !! He was absolutely fantastic!! Great customer service is key and so very hard to find these days! The customer service sucks. I been with them for 11 years as soon as I purchase headphones online from them, they mark my account as fraud and kept hanging up on me even after they ask me up upload my drivers incense and had me take pic of myself when I did the hung up on me I went to the store and store agent called them to say I was standing right there and I am the right person who owns the account. Guess what they hung up on him too and he was the manager after 45 minutes he finally got another manager on the phone who cleared my account not only did I purchase the headphone for my granddaughter in the store but the sent another one to my house now I have to go back to the store or spend money to mail the extra one back. Theirs no way I would call them again and I am looking into other plans with other services. I would say if you are thinking about Verizons swipe left and keep looking. The rudeness is not worth it. Poor service terrible seems very different no phone number lots to be desirewaotong 20 minutes on them while after emails.they contacted me I was called names and told to f off because I asked to speak with different person. They invoiced me told all my debit card information then refuse to send parts. I am awaiting call back to clarify what they are doing with bank info very strange customer beware. the pictures for this place are crap. the real picture would show that it is next door to Jimmie johns or jersery mikes. ok, the second one, mike, not jimmie. surprisingly, every guy in there (all guys), are great. have gone back several times. Hope you don't have to, but, when you do, they scratch the itch to the point of needing staples. (don't get me started on the other staples that should sell staples but doesn't). sadly, when you call for help, unless they can pick up, you get routed to main verizon help. which is and has been deeply misleading. Not intentionally, just callously. so, minus 2 stars for them not noting that they were not local, and giving misleading information. This site is stuck with Verizon as back up. it has to be frustrating to be far more competent than the organisation you are part of. and then I rudely point that out and they have to dissemble. read more

The wait here is always awful. Be prepared for at LEAST an hour, even if you are literally the only customer in there. The person who helped me (Zeke) was manically enthusiastic, but had a lot of difficulty understanding the very simple request I made to switch phone numbers on my phone. Every time I explained what I wanted him to do, he proposed eight different additional things that I did not want done. When he was finally able to grasp the simplicity of what I was asking for him to do, he spent about an hour on his little iPad, asked me to do a bunch of things on my phone, and then sent me home, telling me everything was OK and good to go. When I arrived home, the number switch hadn't happened at all. Frustrating, but I figured it might be a Verizon system issue, so I called back and politely asked for them to fix it. They asked for some time because they were busy at the moment. I said sure that is fine and waited 2 hours for a callback and heard nothing. When I called them back, I got another employee, who also was unable to grasp the simple issue. He kept insisting that if I just check different things on the phone, I'd see that it was operating as promised. Except, as I repeatedly attempted to tell him, while he again and again interrupted me midsentence, I had already fully checked the phone and was certain the old number was the only one operable. He kept asking me to check things we had already check and covered, and when I tried repeating myself to him once more in the hopes that he would finally understand it, he said I was yelling at him. I was not, I was simply speaking clearly and directly the fourth time around so I would not be interrupted by him again. There may have been a bit of annoyance in my voice, yes, but can you blame me at that point? He hung up on me, flippantly telling me to call Verizon customer service for help before he clapped down the receiver. I am now waiting on the phone with 611 to do what I spent all that time at the store hoping they would do. If you are buying something there, it will probably only take them about 45 minutes to ring you up, anything else I would bring provisions (sleeping bag, food, Russian novel) and hunker down and hope you leave there with your issue fixed. Also be prepared for lots of unnecessary questions about your personal life while you try to sit there and silently pray that this hell will soon be over. read more

Had an excellent experience Saturday Sept. 14 with Tyler getting my 88 year old husband a new flip phone. He went above and beyond in the patience department with 2 aging customers and never once was anything other than reassuring and polite. I had dreaded going due to a less than stellar experience at the South Shore Plaza Verizon. Not to worry. This recently opened store was a most pleasant surprise.
