They require you to submit a reason online, generate a case number, and then call in to actually cancel. Even after doing all that, I had to go through multiple automated prompts before finally reaching someone who could help. By the time I got through, our phone number had already been ported to another provider, meaning Grasshopper was no longer providing any service. Despite that, they continued to charge us. When I asked for a refund for the months we were not using the service, I was told the representative "did not have the option" to issue one. So not only were we billed for a service we weren't using, but there was also no resolution offered. This process feels intentionally difficult and not customer-friendly. If a number is ported out, the account should be automatically canceled, or at the very least, billing should stop. Overall, very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this service.

Grasshopper charged me over $1400 for a plan so outdated it might as well come with a rotary dial and a carrier pigeon. I didn't even get a heads-up...just BAM! "Thanks for your money." When I called to ask why I was being billed like it's 2007, their response was basically, "That's the plan you picked." Really? That's the best you've got? I pointed out, that Google, Zoom, RingCentral, and even your neighbor's kid's lemonade stand offer better VOIP services at half the price. And just like that, a miracle! Suddenly, they do have a new plan that only costs $800. Amazing how those don't come up until you start yelling into the void. I asked three separate times to be switched to that cheaper plan and to be credited for the blatant overcharge. Each time, they promised it was "taken care of." Spoiler: it never was. Months went by. Still no adjustment, no refund , just the distant sound of crickets and the faint stench of corporate indifference. I finally pulled the plug, expecting at least a partial credit for the six months left on my plan. But no, customer service told me that "we don't do that." So to recap: Grasshopper charged me premium pricing for relic service, tried to upsell me with fake savings only after I complained, broke their own promises multiple times, and finished strong with a big ol' middle finger when I canceled. I've had better service from vending machines. Never again. Grasshopper, you've earned this one-star review with flying colors!

    My response back to Astound:…read more I made over 7 attempts to have by quote fixed to no avail. Astound kept increasing the price from $177 to $208. So happy I am not a customer. I saw their true colors on how they didn't care and they didn't want to fix the issue. Also, ASTOUND kept saying they don't have this information on the quote. I sent their own email to them 3 times with no resolution. I believe all the bad reviews on this and other websites. ASTOUND is merging with another company if you haven't heard. ASTOUND has 3 emails from me so they have the documentation. I asked to speak to a manager and they said 24 to 48 hours wait. I have notified the Better Business Bureau as well as the Secretary of State Office in Massachusetts with complaints about their deceptive sales practices and fraud. Customer Service said we see $0 dollars in our system since you haven't received your bill. How can Astound expect people to accept a service without a quote. I was quoted 4 free cable boxes and remotes and that wasn't honored. Overall, the worst experience ever and happy I am not going to be a customer. Clearly, they don't care about the customer and don't know how to provide sales quotes. Don't believe their sales since they will charge you a separate price. Be aware, you are not locked in for 5 years on the price. That is only internet, so be prepared for large increases. DONT TRUST ASTOUND SALES OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY LIE ABOUT PRICING AND SERVICES.

The new phone carrier said "all good" from their end; the phone guy they sent our for the install said everything "should be working fine"; heck, we even had some big telecom company technician here for 2 hours saying something in the system must be burnt out and their solution was to sell us a $5,000 new phone system! Yikes! This morning I stumbled onto Gallo Telecom's website. I spoke with Dean and in less than 5 minutes I knew this guy could figure it out. I got him some information he needed; he tested our phone lines remotely and after about 15 minutes for reasons known to only Dean and God, he figured out the new phone carrier programmed our lines incorrectly!!!! I called the carrier; told them exactly what Dean told me to say; and like magic, the system is working perfectly! Absolutely and without the slightest hesitation, Dean is my hero. If needed, I would call him again in less than a minute and suggest to anyone else who needs a Guru in the Telecom World to do the same. He made it simple, effortless and as uncomplicated as it could possibly be for the lay person. My hat is off to you Dean and everyone else at Gallo Telecom.
