We had the room to ourselves so that was nice. There were tables, a couch, pool table, some arcade game machines, and an area that looked like a DJ setup. They have high chairs and booster seats. No changing table in the women's bathroom. We ordered a build your own pizza with beef, bell peppers, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese on a thin crust. The pizza did the job feeding our starving stomachs. The only part of the crust that was crispy was the outer crust. Plenty of gooey melted cheese. Sauce tasted like a store bought salty marinara sauce. The large size was just the right amount for 2 adults and a toddler. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it was a quick and easy stop to eat here with our kids on the way to our destination.

We got settled in, and were served a delightful, crisp, clean caesar salad which was a " wedge "style salad with tossed spears of Romaine lettuce, in a very nice tart Caesar dressing. The pizza was fresh tasting, mozzarella and pepperoni, in a well baked Chicago style crust. Being from NYC, I do like the option of a true Marguerite thin crust pizza, but maybe that will be a future offering. We understand that wine and beer will be offered soon, when the occupancy paperwork and other permits are all in order. Exciting to have such a bright, vibrant new restaurant. Thankyou you Jacob Godwin and Janet Doffermyre for creating a new venue. Let's all support it. Linda Monds

They go a bit lighter on the pepperoni, which may or may not be your preference, but the flavor still comes through. The sauce tasted fresh, and the cheese was excellent. The Lampley Pizza - This one really stood out. Made with tomato sauce, a signature blend of freshly grated pecorino, ricotta, smoked gouda, thick-cut bacon, and finished with hot honey. Great structure, well-balanced slices, and a strong cheese profile. The topping ratio was spot-on. Overall, quality ingredients and good execution. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

I had planned to order some slices to try some different pizza varieties, but there was just one or two pizzas in the case, so I ended up ordering a small white pizza. The employee who took my order was very friendly and polite. I was confused about the beverage I ordered, as I am used to fountain drinks and iced tea options. So the only choices here were Pepsi products with a limited selection or bottled water. The restaurant has some tables and a bar that wasn't being used. The front of the kitchen is open to the dining area, so you could watch them toss the dough. Most were getting orders to go, but there seemed to be some mishaps: orders not ready when customers arrived, or orders not found. From what I picked up, it seemed the slips were falling on the floor rather than being put up with the orders to make. When my pizza arrived, I was surprised that it was served with a hole in it. It looked like someone took a bite of it. I've not been served a pizza in that condition before. I'm not sure if it was caused by a finger or just bad cutting. Whatever the reason was, was bad quality control. The pizza tasted fine, and the crust was good. It just seems by now that the kinks should have been worked out, and these mishaps should not be happening. It is sad that the kitchen is rushing the pizza cutting, being careless, and not caring about the presentation. It makes me wonder what else is happening that I can't see. I wouldn't order from here again.

The rather generic interior seemed like it had been remodeled not too long ago. The restaurant was moderately noisy, but we were able to speak without raising our voices. For some reason we both ended up ordering spaghetti with meat sauce but when our meals arrived we both received spaghetti with meat balls. Instead of just replacing our meals, the server provided two bowls of meat sauce that we spooned over the tomato sauce. It was OK at best, but honestly I've had much worse. My spaghetti was too al dente for my taste, but it wasn't underdone enough to send back. Our meal came with a delicious garlic knot which had clearly come hot out of the oven. We split a "brownie delight" for dessert, which came out as a brownie on a plate along with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. If the brownie had been warm, it would have been very nice, but as served it was OK at best. Our server kept our drinks topped off, but between serving us the wrong meal, and then not replacing it, the service also gets an OK at best too. All in all, Venero's rates an OK at best. We won't be in a rush to return any time soon.
